Allow women to dress as they please! A tank top and shorts in 90 degrees weather is perfectly acceptable! It wasnt anything inappropriate to wear in public, and there were no intentions in anything bad! A very cruel and sad thing to do. Id be far more concerned about the blown up window display pictures that are placed right in your face as opposed to a Finding Dory tank top! Shame on whoever started this, and shame on the staff for allowing a bitter shopper to dictate who can and cant shop in this mall. I encourage everyone to go shop at a mall where everyone is treated with the respect they deserve, and where they do not continue to employ anyone who body shames women. Im sure, as a man, I could walk in here with a tank top and some short-fitting shorts and no one would say anything, which is really unfortunate because it happens to women who dress just fine but its still not good enough for someone else! Its a nice building, but its not a nice mall if service doesnt make shoppers feel welcomed and safe!

I do like this mall, it has great stores but today there were several people waiting for their drinks, including me, at Starbucks and there was one child imparticular screeching and screaming at the top of their lungs in the childrens play area making me and everyone waiting extremely uncomfortable. This went on for at least ten minutes while the child was playing. I do think its great there is an area for children to play but it seems like everytime I come to this mall i hear children screaming louder than necessary. I dont understand how the customer service desk is in that area and nobody from the mall went over and said something. If anything I think there should some type of policy about excessive noise from the play area. I do think it is great that children are playing and having fun but I dont want to go to a mall that sounds like a slaughter house so I cant sit and drink my coffee in peace.

This mall is improving a lot. I have no idea why anyone would want to still go to rivertown when this mall has been becoming very nice and changing to become upscale where as rivertown lost all the good stuff and is now a Mall walkers mall with random junk stores with outdated remodels and lack of product. Woodland has been getting great upscale stores like lush, apple, Vera Bradley and art of shaving. Finally von Maur and more stores and restaurants are coming along with updates to the whole mall, I hope to see more upscale stores like Nordstrom and Zara and urban outfitters and Cheesecake Factory. The food court is nice but I wish there were more places like salad sensations and stage deli. I am excited to watch this mall as it continues to remodel and get more great things to become a true upscale destination in Michigan.

I am very disappointed with the woodland mall. There have been a couple tomes since I started visiting there in which I have heard girls being body shamed and kicked out for wearing perfectly appropriate clothing, stuff I have worn to this mall on many occasions. And yet I was never kicked out. Please note that this does not reflect on my experience with the individual businesses within the mall. I am very disappointed in the mall staff however for their double standards on dress code, especially when you consider all the advertisements showing scantily clad women all over the mall. Enough body shaming. Maybe once they give a public apology my viewpoint can start to change.

Woodland Shopping Center is in the perfect location on 28th Street. You have every option of restaurants nearby in case you get hungry (or grab a snack at the newly opened Grand Rapidss first Trader Joes). The mall has a Starbucks in the center with four wings branching out from there with any shop you can imagine including a movie theater, H & M, and a food court. Its usually clean and the staff are helpful. If youre from an urban center or one of the coasts of the USA, keep in mind two things: 1) Things are cheaper in Michigan so use that to your advantage, and 2) The style in Michigan is a few years behind the rest of the US so keep that in mind as you shop.

They have a great diversified shopping center. They have coffee shops plenty of business in there I go to Buckle for my clothes and buckle has cowboy boots made in Mexico ( Corral boots ) are made there in Mexico each pair of boots Is hand made they are in the expensive side but well worth it. If a friend were to the mall with me I can guarantee my friends would not have any problems with finding what he or she wants. The only thing that could be better there is a pharmacy which they dont have at this time. Any out of town people who need clothes or anything you want this mall has it .

Good shopping mall overall. Has most things youd expect in a shopping mall. Department stores, lots of clothing stores, book store, game store, Starbucks, restaurants, food court, etc. Good indoor space to walk around in while window shopping, play area for kids, and lots of seating for all the non-shoppers. Wouldnt recommend some of the food court vendors. At least I found Lotus Express a disappointment. Choose wisely. Doesnt have a sports equipment store. Movie theater is in a detached building right next to the main building, but it usually doesnt feature the newest movies.

Theres 1 set of bathrooms in the entire mall inconveniently located at the farthest end of the mall - by the food court, and theres usually a wait which forces you to use the family room if available. And of course, consider yourself fortunate if one of the staff in a store understands your dillema. Suggestion for Woodland to add a mini bathroom stop somewhere mid mark in the mall. Unacceptable when youre assisting disabled individuals with heart conditions and small kids potty training who cant quite make it - embarrassing for them.

My visit to mall took longer than I thought. So I ran out of expressed breast milk for my new baby. I went to the service desk and ask where the nursing rooms where locared? They informed me that there was not nursing room or peace and quiet place where I can breastfeed my baby and they suggested me to feed my baby in the bathroom. This is unacceptable! !!!! From now on I will choose another destination for my shopping needs.i will also tell all my friends about my horrible experience there.

My hometown mall for 40+ years. Weve been through a lot together. Remodels, the end of 1980s mall clothing stores, Hudsons farewell. I hope they can keep reinventing to remain a mainstay. The bathrooms are poorly located, the parking lot more potholes than not, and it just doesnt feel safe as of late. But the stores are upscale and the outdoor area w restaurants and theaters is a nice touch. Reclaim the security, management, and well all be back!

You know, its a 50/50 shot on this place. Ill give it four stars, because its getting better all the time, but its still an old facility with some sketchy neighbors. PREIT is a manager thats pretty typical of absentee landlords, and has a hard time getting ahead of issues. Maybe with Sears leaving theyll but the money in thats been lacking for the past ten years and itll be a mall on the level of the nicer ones by Detroit.
