In the heart of downtown Kalamazoo this building has a long history, housing retailers, political offices and even Santa Claus. Now, to meet the growing demand for downtown residences they have renovated top to bottom. Rating at 4 stars only because I have to rate something in order to post this info. I have not seen the inside nor do I know anyone there yet. As a downtown resident myself I am glad to see the face lift happening of this otherwise dated building, and the photos Im seeing of the new condos are intriguing. Hoping they will be another great addition to city living in Kzoo.

Always nice. Pleasant people, plenty of places to sit if one wanted to, nice/interesting stores, all around a nice place to take a stroll. I particularly recommended Caffe Casa; its one of my favorite places to stop in, say hi, and get a good cup of whatever you like!

Mall plaza has been getting better over the years and it adds to the downtown attraction. Downtown appeal is on the rise in our society as some of the bigger malls are dying. One downside could be lack of parking. Plenty of places to eat and explore.

Had lunch at The Union the other day. I ordered the Dirty South burger, paired with my favorite southern drink, bourbon and lemonade...hands down, the BEST damn burger Ive had in a while; honestly took me back to the last time I was in New Orleans!!

Aside from the bird poop on most of the benches and the sleeping homeless, this is probably my favorite area of downtown KZoo. And really, the only not so great area is right next to the Museum. Still a nice walk.

I love this mall. I always fret about parking, which is dumb. Its supposed to be a pedestrian-ish mall. Of course parking is tough right there, and theres a structure really close by.

Its really our only mall. But it always seems half empty because most of the stores arent great. You can go to the standards youre familiar with, but there isnt anything unique here.
