Place is a joke, drove almost 8 hours one way to buy a truck, showed up 5 minutes before the place opened. Mind you i called the day before to advise them i would be coming. Upon showing up mind you 5 minutes before their opening hours posted the exact truck i wanted was being test driven out of the parking lot as i was pulling in. Fast forward 4 hours later and plenty of bullshit lies later to be told its sold. Following over 200 in fuel, 130 for hotel and 50 in food that they are sorry. I asked for compensation but since the "manager that could do that isnt around on Saturdays and to wait til Monday" im guessing thats just to keep me quiet from causing a scene. Fast forward the following week i call over 15 times to get ahold of the sales manager and surprising enough hes no where to be, nor could he return my phone calls. I even blatently told the receptionist that I was being avoided and this is bullshit, finally someone that cares but when it gets to the manager i just get blown off. Ive called at least a dozen more times in the follow month after the incident stating that they are working on something but with no resolution besides for them to keep pushing me off so i can forget about it. Well 6 months later i still havent forgotten. Customer service is #1 all right.

I am writing this review for my friend. She is a single mother who was in need of a new vehicle and needed help getting insurance. Her sales guy was great and he worked with her for a couple months to find the right car for her budget and he also sent her to use an insurance company so she could get everything completed. Well the insurance company he sent her to should not even be selling insurance in the State of Michigan. It states that it does not meet Michigan Insurance standards. So here she is paying over $200 a month for automobile insurance and it dont cover anything. She trusted her sales guy, she has worked with him for the past couple months. But in reality, he just did what he had to to meet his sales quota. Just completely horrible in my opinion.

Worst dealership experience Ive ever had. I personally think they give LaFontaine a bad name. Lack of communication between sales and loan guy....they pretty much pointed fingers at each other when one gave wrong info?not to mention the car I purchased was on dead E when I picked it up and dirty. In fact I had to turn my lease in at highland location and they had to clean it for them and apologized... If you want the family deAL go to the dealership in Highland they give you the customer care you deserve! Highland location gave me a loaner for free when my car needed work, picked my car up from house and brought the loaner to me. They also caMe to my home so I could sign papers for the loan...never missing a beat. FENTON HAS A LOT TO LEARN!

what a great group! From the moment I walked on the lot I was greeted by each person who saw me. I was there to work with Brandon Trevarrow but each person still said hello or made small talk if they were in the vicinity. I had to make several trips to the dealership for various test drives and to deliver paperwork and each time I was greeted and chatted with and helped. Brandon and Trina work some kind of magic for sure! I got a fantastic car with a minimum of fuss and lots of support during and to come. If you are looking for a used car (and you should you know) this is the place to go and Brandon is the person with whom to work (although the other people there are awfully nice and effective too, as I observed).

I would and currently am recommending Lafontaine to everyone I know and will buy all my future vehicles from here. I went there to view a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Sport edition and was running a little late...not only did they stay late for me, they were more helpful than any other dealership I have ever been to. They were personable and me feel comfortable with my decisions. The last dealer I went to, assuming because I am a female, talked to me like I was stupid. Dave with Lafontaine was extremely helpful and very respectful, even when I didnt know what I needed to do next. Definitely a dealership you want to make a purchase nad your future purchases at!! :) So pleased & I LOVE my new Jeep.

I am so grateful to God for Tommy and Meahgan. They changed my life. Full of doubt and worry because of my credit situation was completely washed away. I cant even find the right words to even begin to thank Tommy for making a car purchase happen for me. He is, without a doubt, the Used Car King! I am going to tell everyone I know to not even waste your time with other dealers especially when you know your credit is challenged and the chances of them telling you NO is great, Tommy will say YES!! Trust Me!! Kudos to the Used Car King!!!!! Tommy would say to me, "If youre happy and you know it, clap your hands"!! I am beyond happy; so thankful for my new beginning!!!

I had a set appointment with finance manager on Saturday. I arrived for appointment, waited 40 min. to be informed that they already sold car. I drove 40 miles to get to appointment. They downplayed their mistake until I started to make a scene. They assured me that they would call me Monday with a car that they would sell me. Today is Wednesday and still havent recieved a phone call. The place reeks of cigarettes, and is dirty. I went to another LAFONTAINE autogroup dealership and they were wonderful. I was driving a better car, with less miles within a few hrs. I feel that the issues are limited just to the Fenton dealership.

My husband and I purchased a used truck from Lafontaine yesterday and it was an incredible experience! We were accompanied by our non stop two year old, which to anyone who is a parent can relate that, taking a child that young in that type of environment COULD be stressful. Carlos, Chris, and Matt made it anything BUT stressful. They treated us like we were family (even the crazy little boy who was running around) We walked out with a great, fair deal and amazing customer service. Which to me are both equally important. We highly recommend anyone who is looking for a used vehicle to visit Lafontaine. You wont be disappointed.

I purchased a vehicle last week with the help of Chris Shannon. He was not only helpful but also exceedingly pleasant. I would not hesitate referr a friend to him. He has been very accomodating after the sale. He facilitated a couple of things that I requested be added to the vehicle (heated seats). He picked up the car and had the work done and returned it to me! I was very impressed with his attention to detail. To the LaFontaine Group, I would tell you that I believe that Chris Shannon is a valuable asset to your company. I will definitely buy my next vehicle from your company! Thanks Chris!
