I remember visiting here a few years ago, and it seemed huge and like a really cool mall. After returning last year, I was slightly disappointed. Everything is closing down. There are A LOT of empty spaces where stores used to be. Most of them moved to the plaza across the "highway." Two of the major stores in the mall have recently shut down (Macys and JC Penney), and Sears isnt looking too good... It seems like the mall is trying to fill a lot of empty space with arcade games and games that showcase prizes. Theyre also opening an indoor skate park next to Dunhams for kids of all ages, which is a positive. The two best things about the mall are the NCG Theater and Barnes & Noble. Both seem to be doing the best out of anything else in the mall. The theater is among the nicest Ive ever been to, offering a variety of snacks and drinks and SUPER comfortable chairs. Barnes & Noble has its own mall entrance and offers a wide selection of books, music, and other miscellaneous items. They even have a café, where you can sit down and relax with a cup of coffee. One major complaint I have about the mall is the fact that there are kids and teenagers running around everywhere, completely unsupervised. Harper Creek High School is right down the road, and the parents seem to just dump the kids off there until the mall closes. I wouldnt have a problem with this if the kids werent acting crazy, trying to hump each other, and harassing mall employees. The NCG theater has recently implemented a rule of allowing no children into the theater after 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays without a parent. To that, I say, "Good for you, NCG." There wouldnt be rules unless the kids were behaving properly... Other than that, the mall just makes me kind of sad. It feels so empty. I cant help but feel extremely pessimistic about its future.

Its very disappointing to read some of these rates and comments as Ive heard terrible things about the customer service. Clearly, you havent visited every store. I work in Hat World and our customer service ladies and gentleman are extremely polite, even when people have attitudes. Not to mention Ive pretty much been to this mall my entire life and I have never had a rude Salesman help me. I have never dealt with an unprofessional salesman. I understand where the concerns of the mall being small is coming from but our town in general is small and we arent as wealthy and "popping" as some of our neighboring cities. This is actually a nice, clean and convenient mall, especially those who arent a big fan of huge crowds. I dont think we have the best mall ever, but its a decent mall being our city is so small and not so wealthy. Giving it a positive rating as I think it is a small but pleasant environment. I would like to see a few more stores but the mall is great!

If you didnt know this place in 1996, then you wouldnt be as disappointed as the rest of us are. It used to be lively; a hopping food court (over a dozen places to eat), an arcade, a toy store; it was ALWAYS busy. It used to have really nice and comfortable seating all along the center of the aisle. A beautiful fountain was the trademark in the center. This place has slowly, but surely, deteriorated. Its a pit. Poor management and high rent has left it in shambles. What once was a place to go spend a few hours in, is not a get in and get out establishment. Its an embarrassment to this city. Which isnt saying much because the city itself is quite the red-headed stepchild of Michigan. I would rather shop on-line and pay more than step foot in this sinkhole.

Very few things left to do in the mall, little variety and stores with a once bountiful and quality food court now desolate save for 3 restaurants and the mall itself seems to lose more and more stores every year. I cannot begin to comprehend what business plan those who own and operate Lakeview Square Mall expect to breathe life back into it much less make a profit when they cannot keep or bring new businesses and new life into their establishment. I do not hold much faith in this mall staying open much longer if they cannot come up with a working business strategy.

Good theater and the few small food areas were nice. Another shopping mall that needs to “get with the times”. Lower your rental rates to get more stores, otherwise you’re going to go out of business! You need some new small businesses, not the same big box stores you can find anywhere. Do some better online advertising; as a traveler I couldnt even figure out what stores we’re inside without stopping. Most people are not willing to stop just to see whats inside...

I visited Fun 4 Us with my 2-year old son today. The only children who were not being supervised, were those of the woman working the store. Her 5-year old son pushed mine twice and her 3 and a half-year old daughter, who was not being supervised, ran into my son with a bumper car! She watched the act and did not even say anything. The only benefit of this play store versus another, is that the parents are too able to climb on the inflatables with their children.

Really I just come here for the cell phone accessory stand by the movie theater, they have the best prices around and are some of the sweetest, and most professional people I have dealt with in customer service. The mall itself seems nice, but I wish they would put their air conditioning to use. Several times during the summer it is sweltering in there-even moreso when youre walking around with tons of bags.

I was a teenager when this mall first opened, and it was nice all the stores were full, and it had a nice food court. Now the only thing I like is the Macys, body and bath store, Barnes and Nobles, Sears, and the shoe department. Its nothing like it used to be! So sad! I like Crossroads In Kalamazoo much better!

The facilities are still pretty nice after all these years. Theyve done a lot to improve the place.. There are some fun stores still, like a decent Barnes & Noble, some shoes stores, a great import store, some chain restaurants and a theater. Its not bad, not too crowded, not over run by tweens.. not bad.

Unfortunately this like many malls is slowly losing stores. Macys is gone, Penny will soon follow. Sears and Barnes and Noble are still there. Barnes and Noble is a great outlet. Theres still some decent small stores and a theater, Applebees, Buffalo wild wings, etc.

Holy cow this poor mall has gone so far down hill. The only things it has going for it is the restaurants and the brand newly updated movie theatre(which is amazing). There are so many closed down/empty stores. The ones that are left are not worth going there for.

Everything is overpriced and there are no original stores selling merchandise that is not available in every other mall. The only store I support is Barnes and Noble and I wish their prices were lower so I could afford more books but I enjoy their store very much

There is almost nothing in this mall. The biggest store is Sears, and there isnt a good enough reason to shop there. No reason to go here unless you have a specific shop you want to go to... And the way it looks lately by the time you get there it will be closed.
