Sunday, February 16, 2014. My husband and I shopped for the first time at the Stop & Shop in the South Bay Mall, Store# 0429. Before starting our way down the food isles, I first needed to use the ladies room. Upon entering, I was absolutely flabbergasted by the egregious conditions of the ladies room. The Handicapped stall had NO TOILET SEAT, NO TOILET PAPER, and those who managed to use it, left stains of urine around the bowl. Only one of the three stalls had toilet paper, which had to be shared with the other two stalls. All of the toilet paper holders in each stall were missing covers, and the entire floor from the entrance door was littered with paper towels or toilet paper. It was apparent the bathroom had not been cleaned or toilet seat fixed in quite sometime - disgusting! Clearly an absent toilet seat in a disabled/handicap stall speaks to a deeper problem within the store and its management ... Poor Management. For a store that takes in thousands if not hundreds of thousands weekly, it is baffling that the bathrooms for customers are not maintained. A missing toilet seat is glaring, missing toilet paper is glaring, a nasty bathroom overall ... Glaring! All says that the customer experience does not rise to the level that youre (Stop & Shop Store # 0429) the slightest bit concerned, youre only concern is the bottom line - PROFITS! Heads up to Management ... If youre getting paid to manage a store, MANAGE ALL of the store! Delegate and rotate staff to keep the bathrooms clean! And if need be ... Get in here and do it yourself! I wish I could post the pictures I took. Perhaps Ill do so on Yelp.

They need more cashiers and less self checkouts! most people dont even know how to use the self checkout and for those that do know how to use it the machines are always malfunctioning.Trying to get help from the associates turns into a tug o war battle between the customers.But dont go to a cash registers with more than 15 items the cashiers look at you like they want to beat your ass LMFAO its ridiculous!! they need to work on a new system that consist on a more speedy checkout and more productive staff crew that can assist the customers needs. and to add salt to the open cut ive applied there over 5 times and never got called for a interview .............im just saying i dont need the job now but im just saying.

Good location, with a gas station as well. I believe this location is open 24 hrs most nights, which is convenient if you work irregular shifts or need an emergency item at 2am for whatever reason. Theres a staffed citizens bank branch along with three atms here. There is also a dunkin donuts and western union money transfer at this location. If you need a key made, there is an automatic key maker to make a copy for you. Some of the deals they have are very good, but most of the regular prices are more than they are at other supermarket chains though. The lines when busy do not move very fast. Be prepared to be in line for a while.

Horrible customer service: I left one bag with my receipt,as well as some pastries and was told that there was nothing they can do. If they had some baggers that actually wanted to bag groceries could have mended the situation but they didnt. Instead the bagger seen that I had a lot of groceries and pretended that they had other pressing work to do. This angered me enough to say that Im done with this stop and shop location and maybe stop and shop all together. This isnt the first time but will be the last time I allow this to happen.

I am angry that I went to the store for the Prime Rib sale on Thursday of last week to learn that it was only a 3 day sale.. Granted, you said it in the ad, regardless it is annoying and irritating. Why are you pulling this junk? It only serves to irritate customers. I want a simple flyer that is good for 1 week. Please stop with the jerk-around tactics. Please dont explain to me why you do it, just stop doing it. It is rude. Also, two different browsers and the customer questions form does not work.

Worst stop and shop I ever went to. Bad customer service, they leave one person at customer services department to assit a whole line! No thank you for shopping, not even a good morning or hi at all! Behind disapointed with this stop and shop where they do what they want besides there is a awful smell from the carpet when you walk in that they probably never changed! I would rate -1 star if I could and I will never go back there again!

Not impressed. The cashier rung up multiple items incorrectly, including produce items. When I informed her that one of the items was different from what she input, she argued with me and would not change it. I also had paper coupons with me. At the end of the transaction, I asked if she ran them through. She replied yes. Later when I checked my receipt, they had not been applied. Will be avoiding this location when possible.

Poor Customer Service This experience began at the register with rude attitude from the cashier, Patty, and was finished up by the even more surprising attitude by the manager John. Stop and Shop 1100 Massachusetts ave, Boston. If you want to be treated as a customer please go to another stop and Shop.

Staff needs customer service training. A high percentage of employees dont smile, greet you at check out, carry on conversations with coworkers while scanning groceries. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point. Proper training is lacking.

Id give them four stars for stocking a huge variety of products, but their insistence on keeping free standing displays in the aisles reducing them down to one lane makes me subtract a star. Clean, well staffed, but busy nearly all the time.

Worse shopping experience ever and their restroom are so nasty and discussing. Management is more into people stealing than cleanliness of the entire store. I would never go back to that store much less use their restrooms.

Employees are very aware of every customer and mean that in a good way. The customer service is super pleasant and professional. And this location has great prices and added discounts to make sure youre familys fed.

This is a pretty standard city Stop & Shop so the selection is a little limited (maybe a little more than you would expect) and the prices are a little high but if youre in Southie is pretty convenient

i love this place, but the review is just to let people know it isnt open 24 hours anymore. its open 6 AM-midnight 7 days a week. sometimes expensive, good sales though. nice people, too :)

Improvements to customer service required. As much as self check out counters are effecient, when customers use them and they have a long grocery list, they are avoiding the cashiers
