The first time I went to this apple store I went because the charger to my macbook stopped working. I walked in and was approached by a 40-50 year old woman who seemed completely nuts took about 15 minutes to identify the situation and she let me know that I needed to buy a new charger. I buy the new charger. I later go home and plug in my computer to the old charger and simply use the one half instead of the full charge line (the part from the white box plugged into the wall, not the extension) and find that it works perfectly that way. It was simply the extension part that wasnt working. So if the lady had taken a minute to try that out, I wouldnt have bought a new charger, then later drove back to the mall and returned the charger. Next instance, My iPhone just stopped working randomly while using it today. I call Apple support who tells me that I should stop by an Apple store on the way home for work. I schedule an appointment (the only one they had that wasnt two hours later into the night from my "way home commute" was 10 minutes shy of when Id actually be there so I had to leave work early. I get there, I explain my problem. The "genius" looks at the iPhone briefly and hooks some charge reader thing up to it and determines that it has water damage and that I need to buy a new iPhone at $199. I deny having had any water around it (which is very true) and hes like well our indicators say you have so too bad. So Im like screw that, I know I havent. I ask him for my phone back and decide to go get a second opinion at the Apple store on Bolyston St. in Boston. I walk in, wait about 40 minutes for my appointment (didnt have one prescheduled) and the nice genius gentleman asks me whats up, I explain the situation and that I want a second opinion because the water damage sensor is white in the headphone jack. He proceeds to look it over, yes the bottom one is damaged, but I still know I havent had it near any water. He then proceeds to try to fix the phone before asking me to just buy a new one. And what do you know, within a few minutes the phone was up and running again, perfectly. I do not recommend the Apple Store Chestnut Hill. Thats two bad experiences in a row where all they simply tried to do was make a sale and not to help me, the consumer/loyal customer out. If you want a legit answer to your problems, avoid this store at all costs!

Im pretty disappointed by the service I received tonight and will not be back here again to get other Apple products I intended to purchase here. Yesterday, I was really disappointed when I finally received my refurbished iPod touch from Amazon and it wasnt working. I returned it and checked out all the Best Buys around me and struck out, no iPod touch in store. My boyfriend and I looked up Apple stores and saw there was one 15 minutes away (this one) but the clock was ticking since it was 8:15 and they close at 9pm. I figured it would be fine since I knew exactly what I wanted, a 32 gig Itouch-blue, and would be in and out. We walked in at 8:53PM, and it was fairly crowded but there were a lot of people in apple shirts standing around so I greeted one of them and told them what I wanted and asked if they could get it for me. He looked at his watch and said "Ugh, why did you wait 7 minutes until closing?" I looked at my boyfriend and didnt respond to him. I thought that was extremely rude considering there were a lot of people still in the store lingering yet I was giving a sale, with him not having to work for it at all. He did some stuff with a phone and a lady came out and gave it to him and he checked me out without having to move. He didnt move the whole time, didnt have to work for a sale, and he complained to me and made me feel like crap. He was a very rude person and I dont think he should be by the door "Greeting" people. We walked out of the store at 8:58, while there were still a bunch of people in the store, lingering. Look, Ive worked in retail, too. I KNOW how annoying it can be when people come in before closing. But to actually express frustration and annoyance to a customer who is giving you a sale and was in and out under 5 minutes is unacceptable and that is why I will buy my apple products elsewhere.

Unbelievable.... I went in because my MacBook wouldnt charge, so they said Id need a new battery for a cost of $129 which was fine. Took a couple hours, they replaced it, but when I brought it back home, it still wouldnt charge. So, I brought it back that night and a different employee told me they would need to replace the MagSafe board and fix the keyboard, costing an additional $151. And so they sent it to their shop to fix, which took about 5 business days. They just called me today saying that my computer was ready for pickup. I went in, got it, and checked immediately if it could charge. Thank God it did! Phew. Finally that nightmare was over.... But wait..... I get home, turn on my computer and wouldnt you know my ENTIRE HARD DRIVE WAS WIPED CLEAN!!! NOTHING left. I called to yell at them, but they said theres nothing they could do. Granted I didnt have it backed up but NOT ONCE did anyone there warn me that the hard drive would be touched. I was only aware that it was an issue with the battery. If someone had just quickly said or asked hey by the way, have you backed it up recently? It would have taken a second. Incompetence at its finest. I read the reviews before I came here but didnt think it could be that bad and its the most convenient location for me. But, that is a decision I regret immediately. Im really just blown away by the monkeys they have working at this place. 4 years worth of music (7,000 songs), every photo I took in my semester abroad, all of my documents. Gone forever. Not one warning. Truly just unbelievable. I advise anyone reading this STAY AWAY PLEASE

A plethora of problems with my Mac and various Apple stores: - Im another story of a failed Mac battery when the computer is less than two years old. - Having to wait 3 days for a so called Genius Bar appointment. - So after 3 days of waiting I have a tech confirm what is obvious...."Dude, your Macs battery is broken, man." - Next Problem...."Dude, we are out of stock on the battery." HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? THE MAC IS < 2 YEARS OLD. ATTENTION APPLE, YOUR BATTERIES ARE FAILING FREQUENTLY, I THINK EVERYONE EXCEPT YOUR RETAIL EMPLOYEES KNOW THIS. SOME ADVICE, START STOCKING REPLACEMENT BATTERIES!!! - Wait time for a new battery to be delivered to the store = 5 Days. - Big picture reality.....Im unable to use my work computer for 8 days, have had a run around that touched 3 stores, had to go to the store twice. ICING ON THE CAKE....FIRST STORE STATES, "NO GENIUS BAR APPOINTMENT NECESSARY TO INSTALL YOUR BATTERY." WHEN I ARRIVE TO HAVE THE BATTER INSTALLED, IM TOLD, "WELL, YOU DIDNT BOOK A GENIUS BAR APPOINTMENT".....IM STUCK WAITING THERE FOR 2.5 HOURS." THIS IS CRAZY.....COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Good thing these guys have a "cool" brand. Otherwise, people would be completely you know what about what amounts to easy to fix, but ultimately poor service.
