I brought a used 2011 Buick LaCrosse from HERB GORDON VOLVO of SILVERSPRINGS MD on March 25, 2017. Iris my sales person was wonderful, however, on Friday, April 21,2017 while driving, the car it severely overheated. The car had run wonderful to that point, however, as it was our first hot day, I had been running the air conditioner for sometime. The check engine light came on and the error code "engine power reduced", appeared. I called and spoke with the General Sales Manager, Noah G. I asked him if it was possible to return the car as I was suspicious of a fully inspected vehicle with 65k miles on it overheating out of the blue less than 30 days after purchase; and having seen the Carfax, realizing that 3 people had owned the car in the previous six years, added to my suspicion that this might be a recurring issue. Mr. Noah, told me bluntly, you have a 6 year old car, what do you expect? its used and has 65,000 miles this is what happens. He implied that I shouldve expected this as the car was used. I was incredulous. Ive owned multiple used vehicles and have never expected any of them to overheat. Now at this point, I had only owned the car for 26 days, hadnt made the first payment even. I asked Mr. Noah if he could have it towed in, he again bluntly informed me "NO", and stated it was my responsibility. When I purchased he vehicle it came with a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty, Mr. Noah G. told me he wasnt sure I was covered. I asked if he could provide a loaner car while they checked my car out, I was informed brusquely that they did not provide loaner cars, although as I read the comments here, it is apparent that they do. Since then, things have only gotten worse. Jose, service manager at Herb Gordon Volvo, after repeated calls by myself, finally informed me the car was being sent to Sports Chevrolet for repairs. I begged him for the contact information and he informed me they would be in contact with me shortly. This was Tuesday, April 25th. As of today, April 27th, I have yet to hear anything from my supposed service rep Wayne Wagner at Sports Chevrolet and my calls to the service center are going directly to voicemail. I would inform any and all potential used cars buyers to be very wary of purchasing a vehicle from Herb Gordon Volvo of Silver Springs. My interaction to date has been nightmarish and not at all what I would expect from a reputable dealer.

Best experience we have had at a car dealership! We have been looking at Volvo dealerships around the area for the exact car that we wanted, a passion red 2015 XC60 R-Design. After reading all of the great reviews of this dealership, we decided to make contact. We spoke to Dustin over the phone, who arranged to have the vehicle ready (and even came in on his day off) to meet us. We ended up not being able to make it that day, however, he met us the next day and took us for an extended test drive where he explained all of the many features of the vehicle. Dustin was friendly, knowledgeable, humble and very laid back. I really appreciated this after previous experiences at other dealerships. I really felt like I got the time with the vehicle to understand it and its ride. The manager Mario and all of the other folks at Herb Gordon were also excellent as my husband was able to wait inside with our dog as I test drove the vehicle. We had done a lot of internet research, and after the test drive made what we felt was a fair offer; Dustin took the number and came back with a counter even lower than what we had offered them! It went from a fair deal to a great one! Their finance staff (Bryan) was friendly, flexible and worked with us to help us save even more money in the financing of the vehicle. While we were knocking out the paperwork Dustin took the time to set up a number of the driving aids on the new car including setting the GPS to our home destination. All in all it was the most pain free car buying experience we have had out of the last 7 cars we’ve bought in the last 20 years and cannot speak highly enough of the sales and finance staff at Herb Gordon Volvo.

Herb Gordon Volvo is hands-down, the best Volvo dealership from NoVA to Baltimore. This Silver Spring dealership gave me the all around best customer service, treatment and transparency in how they operate from day one--all the way to parking my rear into and driving off the lot in a Volvo I absolutely love. Folks, you will not find another Volvo dealership like Herb Gordon anywhere within a 55 mile radius of Silver Spring. The sales staff, general manager and shop technicians are excellent. In particular, my dealer, Iris is in a class act, in a class all her own. She is so likable and her approach is to help get you in a vehicle you like with her full attention on you, the customer and the cars, which she not only knows well, but can speak of, genuinely, honestly from personal experience as a Volvo owner long before she worked for Volvo (Herb Gordon). Iris is right there with you, listening to your every question and concern. I am not exaggerating when I say, it was as if she was a relative as interested and enthusiastic about test driving and exploring the vehicles features right along with me. Lastly, Iris has no guise about her, nor do the other friendly members of the Herb Gordon team I met, especially Peter (manager) and Neil (technician). Go ahead, shop around. You may find comparable deals or even the exact Volvo you want on the lot at another dealership. ...What you wont find is the top-notch service, respect, enthusiasm, clear terms and the added benefit of on-site maintenance like you will at Herb Gordon. Lastly, you sure as heck wont find a group of sales people or sales person, that can touch Iris.

I stop pass to look at a white lexus.like the car but husband wasnt felling it. The sale many called us five day street hours on an hour. So we decide to get it. Signed the contract last night. Drive the vehicles home .half way home all the check engine lights came on along with multiple other. To us to pull over and call the dealer. There were close it was 905. Call the service Manger that night he didnt. Pick up. The next morning at 8 am. Call the sale person. She said she will not be in. But will let Marlon the sale Manger know I called him at 9 am when the dealer open up to him I wanted to return it and get my money back he to me it was sent off already. I know that was a lie bc it happen last night. He told me he will fix it. I dont want the car. If you can sell me a broke car. What make you think I will trust you to fix it right.he told me they cant take it back. I told him thats a lie bc my contact said I can as long as he agree. The ln he change everything. He said well yes but I am not. I will fix it dont want it. A spent 25000 on a car i didnt have for 1 hour now broke and cant get my money back.they are lies and only see dollars sigh.and can give a rats assume about anything else will never go back there and tell everyone I know never to shop they.buy beware a learn a valuable lesson. The contract was sent off tell late evening so he could have cancelled it and give my money back but only thing they think about it comest ion.
