I went to the dealership On October 23, 2016 (CARSMART) to scout a vehicle. Long story short, I purchased a USED 2014 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT WITH 40,009 miles for 16,700 dollars and I added EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE THE WARRANTY THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WAS ONLY FOR 30 DAYS. After driving the car for 3 months I notice the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. So I took the service shop ( EXPERT AUTO). They managed to take the light out, so I thought my vehicle was fine. TWO WEEKS LATER the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON... SO I RETURNED AND GOT A OIL CHANGE. Every few DAYS AFTER the LIGHT would turn OFF and ON by itself. I got a oil change sometime in MARCH. BY MAY MY ENGINE LOCKED Up. So I got it towed to the shop and they said "The engine locked up because of the oil"... You probably thinking but how.??? So I got it towed to VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP (RITCHIE ROAD) so they told me get your OIL CHANGE RECORD AND WARRANTY WILL PAY FOR IT. COOL... So I thought... I went back to EXPERT AUTO AND THEY CLAIMED THEY SYSTEM REBOOTED SOMETIME IN MARCH AFTER MY LAST OIL CHANGE... GO FIGURE.. so now Ive been without a car since MAY and NO ONE is trying to help me GET MY CAR FIXED.. I KNOW SUPER FRUSTRATING. SO I LOST MONEY ON WARRANTY AND IM STILL PAYING A CAR NOTE FOR THAT VEHICLE. I recommend DO NOT BUY FROM CAR SMART OR EXPERT AUTO

I would give this place a 5 star review because of the sales department and the guy Lawrence that works in sales and sold me the truck. He was great and treated me wonderful! But I am only giving it one review because of the service department. The guy Chuck (the general manager) there or supposed to be a general manager is what his title is but the way he acted towards me and my father is beyond rude and disrespectful. When I came to him about how his service guy Donte kept my truck for three weeks to fix a screen that was broken by them not me, he told us that he has no control over when a screen is broken. And that I was a given a loaner car so it was no reason why I was upset it took that long. Yes they fixed the screen but it took them three weeks (in which I never had possession of my truck from the time i purchased it) and a bunch of run around and poor communication between theirselves. So I asked him could he delivery to me the one thing that was promised to me and he denied it. So I say this to say I am very disappointed with Chuck. I was really excited in getting my truck but he made it a very bad experience.

WHEN I ASKED THE Lady On THE Phone Would I NEED ANYTHING SHE SAID NO. JUST $29.00 DOWN PAYMENT AND $25.00 FOR TEMPORARY TAGS. MOSES Asked did I have a co-signer, down payment money, $500.00 for tags, ....... He took my credit info and said I will be right back, he came back in like three minutes (literally) and said I need a co-signer. He also said Banks dont really wanna give you a loan if you are an Uber driver. Furthermore, I did my due diligence for all of you that are in a bad credit position. ....because the chicks on the phone will NOT tell you that you are GOING to need down payment money, tag money $500.00, insurance money, and A CO-SIGNER.... SO THAT $29.00 IS Bogus (as I suspected anyway)... But there is a bright side, you can go to a real dealership and get a professional no lol....and.....you can also get your answer in as little as 5 mins. * Cheers *

7 Months later my check engine light is on the car is junk I knew i should have never brought a car from this place the they lied and said my car was covered under all these warranties. When none of the warranties cover this vehicle. They sold me a junk car and I still owe thousands of dollars to them not to mention car parts repair and labor from my pocket. I feel so dumb about this purchase. I had a great sales man (Adam) he had a great personality and everything. All around a great person and he was friendly and still professional, and was very patient. (Kamal) was helpful as well he thoroughly explained my numbers and after confirming with my insurance company they put me in the safest vehicle and I have the best rate for my financial situation. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. I know they have my best interest in helping me improve my financial future.

Was contacted by a "sales rep" and was promised and told things that turned out to be false. Had an appt with who I thought was with the woman who I had been talking to and who made all these statements. Told her I wanted everything answered before I got there...asked her all kinds of questions just to be sure I wasnt wasting time and money to get there...well, after 6 hours getting there by bus, train, etc. got there and NOTHING was what she said! She kept calling to make sure we were on the way...Turns out they tell you things (untrue facts) just to get you there and then its totally different! Told them I was coming a long way. Wasted 10 hours and $150 dollars for lies. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM IF YOU HAVE ANY CREDIT ISSUES EVEN IF THEY TELL YOU OTHERWISE!! THEY SAY "BAD CREDIT, NO CREDIT, NO PROBLEM, JUST NEED PROOF OF INCOME, ETC." THEY LIE!!!!

I spoke with Ebony from Express Auto about 3 weeks ago for my Saturday appointment. At that time, the dealership had a Promo "Sign and Drive". No credit check will be required. That was not true. When I arrived, the salesman stated that wasnt true and that a credit check was required. I told him what Ebony said and he shrugged his shoulders. I then spoke with the Manager- Dwayne Jefferson who basically stated that I would need $3000 and he could put me in a box (small) car, I could keep it for a year and then return it. This is a ridiculous to have representatives to call customers and tell them one thing and it is completely something different when you arrive. If there was an option to give the dealership no stars. I would.

If you want to buy a lemon then patronize them. I just bought a 2016 Hyundai Sonata from them last December 2016 and the check engine light is already coming on (in March 2017). I also discovered that they did a crooked weld job to the tail pipe under the car. It appeared wrinkled and the exhaust leaking. I reported it to Expert Auto they said it’s not their fault but Hyundai. Very disappointing on a car I purchased from them for over $17,000 and in less than three months having problems? They would schmooze you to buy alright but package you with a clunker. That’s not right!

Expert Auto was great, I received great customer service and I was able to walk away with a car that I wanted. I have bad credit and was worried from what I was told by other dealerships that I would have to put a lot down in order to get a good car, but the finance manager worked with me. I know own a 2016 Hyundai Sonata and I love it. Thank you to Shaun the sales representative and to the finance manager (forgot your name) that assisted me, yall was great. I will definitely recommend Expert Auto to others.
