There is just no other option in the DC area! I recently proposed to my beautiful fiancé. I am new to jewelry shopping, I know nothing about diamonds, fits, etc. Through my job, I had a friend that referred me to David. My initial call went great, though I was nervous on what I was getting myself into, but David immediately picked up (no chasing around voicemails) and fit me into his schedule for the next day. I came in for my first visit to the Masica store in Rockville, found easy parking and was professionally greeted by Davids secretary and cute dog! From there, David asked me a lot of questions, was patient with me as I learned what my options were, and had great insight on his competitors. I usually like to do quite a bit of research before a big purchase, such as an engagement ring, and I have to say that the value + price was unbeatable. So imagine this: great first impression, great detail, great care, and great value/price.....and that doesnt even begin to cover the follow up! David knew that I had a hectic schedule, so he hand delivered the finished Diamond (about a week before his expected date of completion) to my job with his dog with him :) Not only that, he frequently checked in and EVEN ATTENDED MY SURPRISE PROPOSAL TO MY FIANCE.....how great is that??? I could not give a more encouraging push to all those shopping for engagement rings or any other bling! Finally, the ring looks amazing - my fiancé could not stop starring at it weeks later and is so proud to show it off. There is no better feeling, I promise you! My fiance and I first went to David to purchase my engagement ring two years ago. He worked with us and helped us find the perfect ring style out of a vague idea of what I liked. He also has a selection of colored stones which is exactly what I wanted for the engagement ring. He was responsive about staying within our budget and letting us know of our options. The ring came out absolutely lovely. We liked his approach so much we went back to have a wedding band made to fit against the engagement ring and to have the engagement ring cleaned. There was a small problem when the engagement ring came back; it turned out there was a concern that the stone would fall out so the setting had been tweaked, but it had changed the look of the setting a little more from the original than expected. When my fiance took the ring back to have it corrected, David immediately took the ring and even drove my fiance over to have the work observed. My fiance was very impressed (and hes hard to impress)! The set is now perfect and were both pleased to have them as one of the symbols of our coming marriage. Working with David has been an enjoyable process, and he went above and beyond for the only issue we encountered. Well definitely be going back for any other jewelry and wont hesitate to recommend Masica Diamonds.

I met David Masica in 2007 after he had been recommended by a dear friend as a terrific jeweler--Her daughters fiance had purchased a gorgeous diamond engagement ring from him and then, had returned to purchase their wedding bands. I saw the ring and knew this was the jeweler for our family. I took our son to see David for his rings in 2007, then two of our family friends a month later for their sons rings, then a ring for myself, two rings for our daughters for their graduations, earrings, and necklaces for family and friends. The connection to David continues and now I have friends from out of state contacting him for their jewelry needs. He is wonderful to work with in every way. His jewelry is amazing and he works one-on-one with his customers to educate as well as design the jewelry of their dreams that also fits within their budget. This is the man for you if you are thinking of making a special jewelry purchase of any kind. I have been seaching for a jeweler I can trust and form a long term relationship. I have found this in DAVID MASICA and I recommend him to everyone I meet.

While looking for a jeweler in the Annapolis area, my now fiancé and I came across Masica Diamonds through a Google search. With 33 reviews, all 5/5 stars, we decided to drive all the way to North Bethesda to check him out, along with a couple other more local jewelers. We went to David first and were really impressed with his showroom (it really does look like a museum!), his knowledge and expertise, and his no-nonsense approach to business. We had brought with us my parents engagement ring (oval diamond, yellow gold solitaire setting) to see if he could re-set the diamond. We were so in love with the rings we saw in the showroom, we decided right then and there to go with David as our jeweler. My fiancé proposed to me two days ago, and the ring looks like nothing I have ever seen before! It is so unique, and sparkles so much! The setting even makes my parents diamond look BIGGER than it actually is! I have already gotten numerous comments about the ring, and my parents think it is beautiful. Thank you, David! We are excited to get the matching wedding band made! :)

I was in the market for an engagement ring. I had done some research via internet and by visiting retailers. Every retailer had a different methodology on purchasing the perfect diamond, which left me feeling a bit confused. On an afternoon walk, I spotted Masica Diamonds. Assuming the store was closed, I started walking away, but David greeted me at the door and invited me in. David explained what qualities he looks for in a diamond and showed me a couple live diamonds. He made me feel comfortable and I didn’t feel pressured to make a decision to purchase at that time. A week later while working at the Oscars in LA, I bumped into a sound engineer who was also in the market for an engagement ring. He told me of a man in Rockville, Maryland whom he was going to visit for a ring. When I asked him the name of the person, he mentioned David Masica. Wow what a small world! David knows diamonds like the back of his hand. To me it was a great learning experience. He also has a unique selection that you will not find at your average retailer.

David Masica is a wonderful jeweler. I took my girlfriend to see him for an engagement ring, and we were impressed with his expertise, business sense, and competitive pricing. He asked detailed questions, provided insightful advice, and customized her ring exactly the way she wanted it. There was no rush and no hard sell. He encouraged us to shop around before making our final decision. After a few frustrating visits to big chain diamond retailers, I gladly returned to Davids shop to purchase the ring. His customer service was excellent, and together he and I chose a gorgeous diamond to go into the setting. Even better, he had the ring ready nearly a week ahead of schedule. Im proud to say that my "girlfriend" is no longer my girlfriend, but rather my fiancee. We have been engaged for three months now, and she has received -- literally -- countless compliments on her beautiful engagement ring from friends, family, and even completely random strangers.
