I have been buying shoes for my daughters at Shoe Train for their entire lives. When I visit other shoe departments at major stores, I am always disappointed when I return home to find the shoes do not fit properly. I dont mind spending a little extra (but not always the case) to ensure that my daughters shoes fit correctly. This is so important in their development. You get what you pay for...why go anywhere else when Shoe Train does it all perfectly? Plus, they have activities in the store to occupy the kids while they are waiting. The staff is extremely friendly and always spend as much time as needed with you to ensure the proper fit. Even if you have to wait, just know that when it is your turn, they will give you the same attention and time. Just be patient and you will be pleased with the service and quality you receive.

We love this store, its awesome! I think it is probably the best kids shoe store around. You can find there shoes from all different brands. I am French, and I love European shoes for my kids, so this is the place! The shoes are always very good quality, people are friendly and knowledgeable. Collections change regularly, so you are pretty much assured that you will not find the shoes you bought on somebody else - my daughters are very much "into fashion" and would not tolerate that!!! Pretty much all my European friends shop there for their kids. They also have all kinds of accessories and goodies too, such as umbrellas, raincoats, etc. In short, a big "thumbs up"! On top of everything else, it does not hurt that the store is in a very nice mall - we always hang out there, and there is plenty to do.

The best place -- the ONLY place -- to buy shoes for kids. Yes, the lines may be long, but thats because the staff gives each and every family/customer exactly the time they need to be properly fitted. Its not about the sale of the shoe, its about making sure the child or children leaves with the correct shoe for his/her feet. Its a store steeped in the tradition of yesteryear: where customer service mattered, where proper fit mattered. They dont make stores like Shoe Train any more. If you want to make sure your children wear shoes that fit them, theres no other place to go.

Apparently this is THE place to get shoes for infants/toddlers in the Montgomery County area. They are known for it. Man, this place was crowded on the weekend. We specifically came here because we needed some special insole for the daughter. The staff at Shoe Train knows their stuff when it comes to kid shoes and special needs. The good news is that the place has toys for kids to play with during what could be a 30 minute to one hour process.

The store in size is huge and so was the selection. The store is a favorite with everyone so its crowded and its loud because you have children enjoying participating in the purchasing of their shoes while experts shoe fitters find the perfect shoe in your kids size so it takes a while but its worth it and I recommend it to anyone who wants the kids to have a perfect fitted shoe sandal or boot I am make some new friends

While this place might be a bit pricier than others, the shoes here are from excellent brands. My daughters are picky about their shoes and we have trouble finding some that fit their feet appropriately. The sales person today did an excellent job with my daughters and found us exactly what we needed. The other employees were also very kind. Just be aware that the store is cramped.

You live in downtown DC and you are going all the way to Cabin John for shoes?? YES WE ARE because it is well worth the drive! Sure there is often a wait, but its understandable -- this store has the BEST selection anywhere, what you want is always in stock, the sales staff REALLY knows their stuff...my kids (and I!) love SHOE TRAIN!

I took my 6-year-old son to Mr. Bills shoe tying class yesterday evening and he mastered the technique in less than 10 minutes! Mr. Bill was very kind and patient! This was our first visit to Shoe Train, but I plan to return to have my older son fit for orthotics and to purchase shoes for both boys. Thank you Mr. Bill!!!!!

Our number one shoe store! Kind, knowledgeable staff always help my flat-footed fashionista find what she needs. They know how to put in arch supports and how to handle the 8 year old who needs a supportive shoe that still looks great. No other store in the area takes such personal care with your kids.
