I purchased a Cross Century Translucent Blue Lacquer CT Ballpoint Pen on July 18th first thing in the morning. According to the order it was supposed to ship with in three days. By July 24th I emailed at around 5am because I still had no shipping information. On July 26th I called because I still had no shipping information or reply to my email. I called and was told they had bad inventory, and that they had none in stock. They were going to call me back in less than 30 minutes. So a little over 2 hours later I was on the phone calling again... The pen finally showed up on August 7th. Yes the pen that showed up was correct with no flaws in original packaging. However I run shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory control departments for 40 hours a week. I shouldnt have to motivate yours and make calls for your customer service team as well.

The staff are attentive and friendly and at least a couple are fountain pen enthusiasts, willing to let you try out their personal pens and tell you all about their favorite inks. Sometimes they have really good deals on pens. They have a prize wheel at the door that you spin when you check-out to see what the store will throw-in with your purchase. Weve so far won a ballpoint pen/stylus and a bag of free ink samples. I only have two gripes: 1) The in-store prices dont match their online prices. 2) They gave us some free Private Reserve ink samples that formed algae strings and we had to throw them out.

I had a great experience. I dont know anything about fountain pens, and the woman who assisted me was very patient and explained and demonstrated quite a bit to me (despite the crying baby I brought into the store and was trying to settle!). Based on my descriptions of what I was looking for and what I like in a pen, she suggested four pens, all of which I liked. She didnt pressure me, and in fact suggested I buy the less expensive pen to experiment with and see if I liked it enough to buy a more expensive one. If/when I do decide to buy it, I will definitely be going back here!

I placed an order online for a new pen which included a free gift with purchase. The pen I received was clearly heavily used show room/ demo condition with micro scratches and chips. Also no free gift item included. False advertising.

Good selection, particularly to be able to see items in person. Not the best prices, and have never been impressed by the customer service - I always get the impression the staff feels like customers are bothering them.
