I used to really like this store...then they remodeled and i Had a problem returning a jewelry tool here. On the store receipt it claims that if you are not satisfied with the product purchased, you may return it within a specific amount of time. So I had a set of jewelry pliers with a gel coating over the tips. The pliers would not close completely and they did not function how I wanted them to. I was not satisfied with my purchase. I had the receipt and was within the time frame, so I went to he store and tried to return the tool. I had also went and picked up some other things to purchase. So really I wanted to do an exchange. Well they wouldnt return the pliers because I had opened the package! My question was how do I know I am satisfied with a product if I dont use it? And all the lady could tell me was that she couldnt do it. I had to go to the michaels in Glen Burnie to do the return...so they got my business instead!

This is a review for the framing department, or at least for one employee there. I brought in some art that was made by my preschool-aged son to be dry-mounted and framed. She told me that there was nothing she could do to help me. She said that the dry mounting machine wasnt working too well, and that dry mounting on foam board would be too thick for all of the frames sold anyway. I said, "So theres nothing you can do?" And she said "Yes." I looked back in bewilderment, and walked out, with my son by my side. "What will you do, Mom?" "Go to another store," I replied. We went on to the Michaels in Annapolis, where I had a great experience having the pictures dry mounted and framed (with an off-the-shelf frame) in 24 hours. In future, I will not waste my time at the Bowie store, where clearly they dont know their business and dont want mine.

Let me start by saying I love Michaels and have shopped with them for years. This particular store have a few rude employees who need customer service training. I hope they are only seasonal because employees should not argue with customers. Secondly, the coupon policy changes daily. I have been told something different on many visits to the store within a month by management. This is very irritating so I have reached out to corporate for clarification.

Michaels is like Target on crack (especially for us teachers). My teacher brain makes me buy all the things because I can always think of ways to teach more creatively. Last time I was here, I bought t-shirts, t-shirt transfers, play dough, sketching materials, picture frames, window clings and a cool bucket to put stuff in.

I found almost everything I wanted on my own and if I couldnt all the employees were there to help. The cashiers were very friendly and patient too. I was very satisfied with my visit. I would definintly go again and recommend to my friends and family.

The store was well lit and organized. Upon entering, someone immediately asked to assist me. They were helpful. My trip was pretty quick until it was was time to check out. The line was long as there were only two registers open.

Michaels is a great craft store and often has really good sales and coupons if you subscribe to their e-mails. I sometimes have trouble finding an associate to help me, but thats the only complaint I have.

Good selection but it is always difficult to find help in the aisles. Each visit ends with a 20+ minute wait in the line. 2 cashiers and up to 10 people in line at once.
