Horrendous customer service. I know that this store ALWAYS has a line for the cutting counter in the middle of the day, so I went in shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning. I cruised past the cutting counter to see that there was one person being waited on, and no more numbers to be called. So I went and chose my fabric. I returned to the counter less than 10 minutes later to find that the same person was in line, and that the employee was cutting multiple cuts of the same fabric, 3 to 4 inches wide. She then proceeded to enter all 20 into the pricing machine individually, scanning the bolt each time. She then printed the slip out to double check that she had 20. (I know that she has to charge for each piece of fabric.) She then glanced at me, and started cutting another 20 strips from another bolt of fabric, rather than asking me how many cuts I needed (3!!), so that I could be on my way. So I had to leave my fabric in the cart, as I had an appointment in 20 minutes. Totally unacceptable, and this employee has worked there for many years, so she knows that what she was doing was not proper.

Went to this Jo-Anns today to get some picture frames. There were signs throughout the frame section saying that all frames were 50% off, but that one particular brand of frames were not included in this sale. In front of the section with this particular brand of frames was a sign saying 50% off that didnt mention the particular brand. So obviously if these frames had a sale sign in front of them, they should have been on sale correct? Why else deliberately put a sale sign on that part of the shelf? Went to the counter and was told they were not on sale. I tried to explain to a neighboring cashier (who was asked about the frames by my cashier who wasnt sure) and this woman kept repeating they werent on sale. I tried to explain to her that there was a sale sign on that shelf indicating they were, but it didnt make a difference to her. She didnt even have the decency to look at me while saying this. She was incredibly rude and I dont plan on going back to this particular Jo-Anns again. This employee had no right to speak to a customer due to the stores own mistake.

the people who work at this location are by far the biggest set of bitches ever assembled under one roof. they are inept, rude, self absorbed....i cant even begin to list everything wrong with them. i returned $140-ish of merchandise and the cashier entered the wrong address for the corporate check. when i brought this to her attention she said there was nothing she could do to correct it and there was no district manager she could direct me to (she was the manager). i called customer service who said that she can indeed to something about it but they cannot. so its a yr later and i never recieved my refund but they got back their merchandise. everytime i go to this store im greeted by rudeness and it appears that they dont care to be there but need the money so to work they trudge with the goal of making everybody miserable. i now drive 30 minutes away instead of 5 minutes down the rd to go to the cockeysville location where the girls are pleasent and helpful and just all around nice.

This store knows they have a monopoly on the fabric market here. 2:30pm on a Saturday and they had one person cutting, but two behind the counter. The other one appeared to be cutting remnants. I waited over 30 minutes and they only helped 5 people, knowing I had six more to go and someplace to be in 45 minutes, I left. At this point there were over 20 people waiting, but still just the one person cutting. I needed one yard of material;something not available online. This store has always had long lines but over the past few months it has gotten worse. Im going to try Walmart for my smaller projects, some of their stores have fabric by the yard.

This store has a serious problem- the slowest, most inefficient people working there that could be found in one place...and guess what? They're all behind the fabric counter, loudly complaining about their jobs and discussing who is going on break next. I have never seen a fabric store with so many people behind the counter, and yet the line never moves...the fabric selection is terrible here; basically it is a store of crafty junk that you can find elsewhere easier and cheaper. It is worth the drive to the BelAir store, which is well worth the trip.

The selection of fabrics is quite extensive and the Viking sewing staff are amazing. The Jo Ann employees themselves are not the most helpful. Its nearly impossible to sign up for a Creative University class because know one seems to know anything. Ive had several very frustrating encounters on multiple occasions. Again, Id like to reiterate that the Viking staff tend to be extremely helpful, so if youre looking for sewing tips or looking to buy a machine, Id definitely recommend them.

Large fabric section, but it depends on what is in season. Theyll have a lot of current season fabrics, but very little of any other fabric you might want. Also, the fabric cutting counter is always packed with a line of people (theres a number ticket station like a deli set up) and though there are many clerks working to cut fabric, you will be waiting a long while. Most recently, after a half hour waiting and still another 21 people in front of me, I gave up and left.

Lovely store. Lots of choices but appears to be poorly managed. I have left the store without purchasing at least twice. There should not be 18 people waiting to be helped with cutting fabric. The focus should be on swift customer service. One option would be to establish an express cutting section for customers requiring assistance with just one fabric or related cutting option. Waiting for more 45 minutes is unacceptable.

I use to like this store but ever since they crammed all that craft into the store, its horrible. The floors show where shelves use to be. And the fabric is packed. You pull one bolt out 3 more come with it. I had no problem before the change. Its not much of a fabric store anymore. Ive had pleasant encounters tho with customer service but check out takes forever. And youre crammed between more shelves as you wait.

Horrifying. Store in shambles. Waiting in line to have fabric trimmings cut for over an hour, just to be skipped. I understand the elderly need jobs too, but when they are dillay dallying around purposely to buy time between orders, new employees should be hired. No toilet paper in the bathrooms, just overall the worst store ive been in. I shouldve demanded coupons.

Better then Columbias Jo-ann. Normally organized. (Durring a big sale, yes it can get messy.) The staff are always friendly. The variety is a little slim, but it is a slightly smaller store then Columbia. They are excellent with returns. I go here 98% of the time.

You really need your patience cap on when shopping at this store. The lines are always long and the employees move very slowly. Unfortunately, there are unique sewing items that only are sold there in the area.
