Honestly, Ive never been a fan of arts and crafts. I just dont have the patience. But as my wedding was venturing a few months ago my husbands sister insisted on coming here to look at items for my reception dinner. I wasnt one to argue as I didnt have a clue where to begin. I do know someone personally who works here so we were able to receive some major discounts. I still dont like arts and crafts, but I can attest that Michaels has some unique and hard to find items. And some pieces they sell are really nice and can add the final touches to any event. Ive noticed that their prices somewhat fluctuate, but if you are a member and stay abreast of their sales you will be able to save money. Ex. I was looking for a huge Christmas wreath for my front door. I searched 3 different stores before I finally found what I wanted at Michaels. The beautiful wreath was originally $149.00, but they were having a limited 60% off sale and I capitalized, indeed! And if you have any affiliation with the military they also offer 15% off, which you can combine with other discounts. Definitely dont miss out at Michaels....they may have just what you need!

I always have my packages sent here and buy loads of yarn. Well for some reason lately I havent gotten any help from anyone especially Kevin. I call the 800 number and they tell me my package was sign for about 3 or 4 days ago by this guy and he has other employees telling me that its not in and that he will call me when it gets there. And for some reason instead of having multiple employees stock the yarn section. He designated one person to do it who clearly is never there because it hasnt been stocked for weeks. I have been in this store 2 times a week for about 2 months. Its less and less yarn every time I go. I thought this was a store but I was mistaken. Well at least the cashiers are friendly. Good luck!!!

Me and my mother have been going to michaels for a little while now due to my moms new passion for crafting. Today i witnessed an employee get yelled at directly in front of my face I personally dont feel thats professional. Very often the lines are backed up and i will watch the employee call for assistance through the intercom multiple times and the manager not come to help and when i looked they were gathered together having a convo. They also need more people for the lunch hour times. Even with employees working to full potential its still to long of a wait. Personally , i feel the employees are doing a great job the issue is with the managers.

Went here for custom frame and matting for a photo. Needed the order in 4 weeks, they said in 2 weeks it would be done. Gave them 2 weeks beyond the 2 weeks and called them up, they said the order would take at least another week. Claimed the order was lost at the company they supply the orders out to, and still did not have the order ready when the month was up. Refused to give a refund even though they were significantly deficient. Still dont have the frame/matting.

Awful. Cashier refused to even attempt to scan my coupon telling me it didnt work on items that were" everyday value" um no, it says it didnt work on clearance or sale, neither of which this was because the price printed by the manufacture on it was the price they were charging. Rude and if it was up to me I wouldnt have bought it in the first place but I was with someone else and didnt want to make a fuss. I will be promptly returning it when I am alone!

Would have given a negative 10 but google only has one star .Mini Rant!!! I absolutely positively, can not stand Michaels in Waldorf. I will never ever shop at another Michaels in this life or the next. Lost my entire order . UPS said they got it on Friday the store says it never was delivered. In my Friday voice BYE Michaels .

This location is clean and well organized. Theyll have a good selection and of items and good value. Their staff is polite and helpful, however, when it came time to check out, only one person was at the register. Fifteen minutes went by before another lane opened up.

Absolutely, loved it. They had exactly what I was looking for. The floor layout was easy. Seems that they knew their customer, as popular items were near the front.
