Today marks the 4TH time in recent history have had issues with Katzen. I have had smaller issues in the past that I over looked, but the last 2 months have been unbelievable. The first issue I experienced was about 2 months ago when I arrived for a scheduled appointment. After checking in and waiting 1 hour, I asked how much longer it would be. The receptionist then exclaimed that they had forgotten all about me and they would see me promptly. About 30 minutes later I got to see the doctor. After 2.25 hours I walked out of the office with a trial prescription. The next time I had an issue was when I received my trial contact lenses. After getting my contact lens fitting, the optical department ordered my trial lenses. I had to wait 3 weeks before someone called and said they had arrived. The third time I had issue was when I went back for my trial contact lens fitting check. After waiting for some time for he doctor I complained that the trial lenses the optical department ordered were very uncomfortable and didnt feel like my prescription. Sure enough he checked and they had ordered my the wrong lens set. The doctor went and got the correct ones and asked me to put them on. There I sat with my new trial lenses waiting for someone to return, but no one did. I finally left after about an hour later. I received a call later that day from the doctor who apologized and ordered me a new set of trial lenses for me to try. Today was the latest twist in this long saga. After going to see the doctor to get my final fitting and prescription today, I tried to order my contacts from a popular contacts website. After searching for a bit I determined that the prescription I was given was not available. I called the optical department who apologized for giving me the wrong prescription. The numbers they claim, were entered into the system incorrectly (for both eyes??) The only reason I stayed with them for so long is because the doctor seemed knowledgeable, but I refuse to provide this place with any more of my business. The amount of people over crowding the waiting room, inaccurate prescriptions, the attempts to quickly usher you in and out, lack of quality controls, and the long wait times to be seen show me that they are not concerned with my health but with cramming as many patients as they can into their day to maximize their profit.

Ive been wearing the same brand of contacts comfortably for 10 years. The doctor decided it was time to change me to a different brand. We tried 5 different brands before he finally believed me that my eyes were always tired, watery, and some days I couldnt open my eyes when his experimental contacts were in. With each new trial I was given the worst attitude by the doctor, as if he didnt care and that I was purposely trying to be difficult (hey! If my eyes hurt, my eyes hurt!). Finally after 5 visits, he conceded and put me back on my original brand. Ordering contacts and getting ahold of the optician is worse. Ive called twice a day, left messages (on machine and by front desk) for someone to get in contact with me so I can order more. This behavior has happened 3 times for me now. I still have not ordered contacts through them and am about to order with 1-800-Contacts instead. Im so completely done with Katzen. I chose them because they were walking distance from the office, but Ill trust my eyes somewhere else from now on since Im not worth their time of day.

Well, Ive been to both locations in or near Baltimore Maryland. I first visited the Townson location in 2015. I loved the doctor and the staff was courteous and professional. The eye glass staff was professional and courteous as well. The Mercy location was a different story. The doctor and her staff were professional and courteous as was the front desk staff. However, the associates that took care of the eye glasses were horrible. The gentleman that took care of me was rude or should I say his tone and demeanor was lacking. Additionally, be aware that you can take your prescription elsewhere and pay alot less. In 2015 I purchase a pair of glasses from Katzen and one from BJs Wholesale Club. Katzen was $600 plus, BJs was $200 plus. So for customer service Townson is better. For eyeglasses shop around for the price that suits your budget.

Eye doctor was great but the front desk clerks seems to not know what theyre doing or rushing. The front desk staff told my husband that he was not eligible for an eye exam but he was. Then the front desk clerk told my husband his insurance will not cover the eye exam but they are participating providers and so is the doctor. I had to call our insurance and have them talk to Katzen front desk staff to clear things up. My husband went to his appointment and was sent the bill. Again I had to call our insurance to speak with Katzen at Mercy. Katzen did the error by not entering in all the insurance info and will send my husbands eye exam bill to our insurance. I know no ones perfect but thats too many mistake.

Extremely rude people here. Its seemed like a real problem to answer the phone and give reasonable answers to questions. I had to get a prescription filled after eye surgery and nobody called back when leaving a message. After waiting 3 days for somebody to call back I called the emergency number and was given all kinds of attitude. It kinda makes you wonder if these people applied for their job with the same nasty attitude they give their paying customers.

Im only giving a star to write this review...I dont know what is going on but Katzen has become so unprofessional Doctors,customer services and waiting time are ridiculous.They misdiagnosed my daughter now she has to have surgery for something they should have seen,all they care about is selling glasses your health and well being means nothing to them!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Aesthetics by Katzen. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly! They helped put me at ease. I would definitely recommend this practice. Also, I went upstairs to their Optical department and found a fabulous selection of frames!

Had to go to another surgeon because I just couldnt get anyone to answer the phone or cooperate with questions that i had. when you leave a message they never respond.They left extensions that were non Existent. I have never been treated so rudely...

I waited 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Another woman also waited as long as I. The main focus is to sell glasses in their office and get lasik surgery. Will never go there again

Man they are so slow it dont make no since I got her at 1:05 and didnt get out into after 3pm never took so long at a eye doctor I my life...just a normal eye exam

Everyone I dealt with here was professional, helpful, and polite. Got my full eye exam and went back for an optional new pair of glasses with no problems.

I have been coming here since I was little, I am 22 now. I have never had a problem. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
