Where do I start? The Annapolis, MD location desperately needs a management overhaul, and customer service training for all of their employees. Each experience with this store has been a disaster. In Nov. of 2016 we ordered a recliner and ottoman for our nursery. We went in expecting it would only be 30 minutes MAX to order the furniture- it took THREE HOURS to order our two items. During those three hours the employee who was attempting to place the order had to stop multiple times to call for someone to get lay away items for a gentleman patiently waiting next to us (Who mentioned to us that he had been waiting for 45 minutes). After three hours of idiocy we went to the Customer service counter to pay but the order could not be found in the system. It took 10 minutes, 4 employees and eventually the store manager to successfully place the order. On our way out we were told it would take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for delivery, we would receive a call/email from Babies R Us notifying us that our items have arrived (the receipt notes if items are not picked up 7 days after delivery, the items would be labeled as abandoned and put in the clearance section- this was alarming considering the lack of competence we had just witnessed). Fast forward 3-4 weeks later. I received a call from a Babies R Us associate to welcome me to the baby registry and to ask if I had any questions, naturally I had her check on the status of the recliner and ottoman. I was surprised when she said it was "on the way". I was excited at the prospect of picking up our recliner sooner than expected but I was still hesitant due to our initial experience while placing the order and apparently, rightfully so, I had my husband try to call the Annapolis location only to confirm the status of the items. It took 14 calls for an employee to finally answer the phone and when we informed him that weve spent the last 30-45 minutes, calling 14 times, the employee was short and basically said "okay, well what do you need?". Was quick to tell us our items were going to take 10-12 weeks because its a custom order then proceeded to put no effort into actually checking on the status of our order and hung up. (It is of note that both the receipt and all of the store employees told us that the items would be ready 6-8 weeks from the order date) A week later we physically went into this location to check on the status, we were told it was in transit but according to the employee at customer service that could mean the manufacture is still making it. We left and checked again a week later- still no chair. Fast forward to today! We called to check on our items and were told that they had been in the store since the fifth (for the past 24 days). That means that many of the times that we checked (including when we went in person) and were told that the chair and ottoman were in transit, endured several hours of incompetence, and suffered the terrible attitudes of an obviously disgruntled, lazy, careless, and downright unintelligent staff, our items were in the store. We are lucky that they did not sell them, though I suppose that that would have required them knowing that they were in the store. We received NO notification that our items had arrived and, in fact, been told that they had not when we took the initiative to call them, sensing their inability to function. I am NOT the kind of person to leave a negative review (in fact, this is my first), but shop at this location at your own risk.

I did my baby registry here in October. The lady who helped me put it together was extremely excited and her energy was very welcoming. She was very knowledgeable about everything! I had a fun time putting together my baby registry and that was partially because of her. I do think she was the only one working in the baby section though. That was only a problem because if I needed something I would have to walk all the way to the desk where you register for a baby shower and sometimes she would be helping another couple put theres together. I do like Babies R Us because they do price matches. The last time I went there I was finishing up putting together last-minute items on my registry as well as buying some things on my registry. I was given a coupon which I was not able to use because the coupon was only valid until well after the baby was born. It would have been helpful to be able to use that coupon for any last minute items that you need.

The Customer Service is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! They have NO selection on pretty much anything in this store and when you call about a warranty that you PAID for, they dont help at all. They pretty much are lazy and dont want to help, in store OR over the phone.
