Bull Moose is one of the few places that is a chain, yet still has that vibe where you never quite know what youll find when you go there. The staff is helpful, their selection of movies, games and music definitely falls on the eclectic side of things. And Ive always found the staff helpful in tracking down something for you when they dont have it in store. So really what else could you want out of them?

Pretty great place. Huge selection of movies, CDs, and vinyl. All the vinyl they have is new or almost new, rather than old issues that are used and resold. Not exactly my style, but I guess the demand for new bands and artists music on vinyl is there and thats their target market. Good place to check out while you are here.

Good if you like rock music. Probably the best selection of hip hop in town as well, so if you need to pick up that certain MF Doom CD, they will probably have it. Decent Jazz section, one of the only shops around here that carries Jazz anymore. Woefully behind the times as far as dance music tho.

Awesome music store. Whether you are looking for current releases or the classics, they have them all. You can find CDs, vinyl albums and so much more. Hard to find records are here. Great staff who are so passionate about music and very knowledgeable. Limited to no parking in the area.

Remember that one time when you really needed a copy of Lawnmower Man because ypu wanted to show your SO and theres this part that you always reference but it flies over her head? Dont have enough time to wait two days for Amazon? BULL MOOSE. nuff said.

Pretty good for a chain. I spent my limited time - maybe 15 min. - browsing cds, and I was impressed with the selection. Picked up a remaster of New Orders Power, Corruption & Lies. Id return to this place if we end up in Portland again.

Cheap prices on video games, music, DVDs, etc. It doesnt carry out the normal retail prices, only to make it a little smaller. Located in downtown, its next to Casablanca and you CANT miss it.

Record stores might be a dying breed but visiting a Bull Moose youd never know it. CDs, LPs, some cassettes and cheap VHSes along with videogames and DVDs.
