"Once they seal the deal they dont care anymore". Purchase experience was really nice and smooth - if not a bit pushy? I wish I had not not given in to the pressure and looked longer in other dealerships to make sure Im really getting the vehicle I love, but the "rebates would go away" threat had scared me into buying sooner. Long story short - now 3 weeks later I realize the car seat in Toyota XLE could be more comfortable and I would really prefer the lighter interior, so I called to inquire (very politely) about return/exchange policy and mentioned that some other people I know had that option (keep in mind I did not say those people had "Toyota") + see my options for possible trade/exchange. Kim, the financial manager ( who was extremely nice and helpful at the time of purchase) very rudely told me that I was wrong, information was incorrect , and made me feel like I asked something totally abominable and inappropriate (I felt very ridiculed, chastised and dismissed). She said that she wont even talk to me about that , since "used cars" were a different dept (my car is only 3 weeks old btw). Extremely unprofessional and rude in my opinion - I just needed some objective information from her, not a lecture on "a good customer appropriate conduct". My boyfriend also had a bitter-sweet experience: the purchase experience was very smooth with Jenna, only to be "lured" back to the dealership next day by financial manager (Nathan), since he forgot to add taxes to the lease. Extreme inconvenience and he was not told over the phone why he was being "summoned" back - just "trifle more paperwork". Long story short - they pretend to be your best friends, and once the deal is sealed - could not care less. I do not want to go to that dealership anymore if I can avoid it - it lacks integrity.

We went to look at 4Runners at Toyota of Slidell. When we arrived we got out and looked at a 4Runner. A salesman came to us and once we started looking at this particular vehicle we realized it was new and $40,000. We were wanting to stay in the $30,000 range so I asked where the used ones were. He then proceeded to tell me the used ones werent any cheaper. I told him I had just looked at the website and saw that there were some in our price range online. He then stated "Im not going to fight with you." He was informed no one was fighting and we just wanted something cheaper. We did walk over to the Certified used 4Runners and there was several in out price range. I stated we needed to sit in one to see if we liked it. The salesman walked off and we assumed he was going to get a key. After a while had passed I realized he was sitting under the porch not getting a key. We walked over and asked if he was getting and he said he didnt feel like helping us. I went inside after that to let it be known he was refusing to help us and see if we could get someone to help us. They did get another salesman to help us who was very nice and helpful. But after the encounter, I couldnt make myself spend my money there. Today we spent our money on a $30,000 vehicle from Star Chevrolet in Wiggins, MS who were more than happy to help.

Purchasing from Toyota of Slidell was an exemplary experience. Our Sales Consultant, Steve Aertker provided outstanding customer service and openness during the entire buying process. Steve is an awesome sales consultant. He made sure we were comfortable with the transaction and took every avenue necessary to provide us with the information we required to make an informed decision on our purchase options. After our purchase, he continues to contact us to see if we are totally satisfied with our new vehicle. Also, Vic Jones, Finance Director, was awesome as well. He made every attempt to ensure that we received the best finance options available to us. Because his patience and professionalism was so exceptional we signed the purchase agreement with complete peace of mind. We are very, very satisfied with our purchase and with the customer service that Toyota of Slidell offers. Our satisfactory was totally solidified when we attended the New Owners Workshop. The workshop was sort of a passing of the torch from sales to service. Our sales team introduced us to the service and parts team. Toyota of Slidell gets our vote for outstanding customer service and has earned a loyal consumer. Yes, we recommend Toyota of Slidell to everyone in the market for a new or used vehicle. Great Job Toyota of Slidell!

My husband, John recently had his vehicle in for a major service job, and he is very satisfied, thus far, with the performance of the vehicle after getting it back! The Service Manager, Jeff, was very professional and customer oriented! He explained every detail that was necessary to my husband. Yesterday, January 3, I had my vehicle serviced, and I was very satisfied with the service. Jeff was also my service manager, and thus far, I am really pleased with Jeffs thoroughness and customer oriented skills. I had been using one particular service manager for years, and he left Toyota, and I was devastated. For me, since I have been a customer of Toyota/Slidell for 19 years, I felt at the time, I was going to a different dealership; however, I decided to choose Jeff as the service manager, and for the two times that I have had my car serviced since choosing Jeff, I have been really satisfied! He understood my frustration of losing someone who I was so use to dealing with, and he is really "stepping up to the plate" and providing excellent service! For that, I am so grateful!

I purchased a hard to obtain vehicle from this dealership last November. I intended to write this earlier, but got sidetracked. I used the USAA price quote tool, and was not disappointed. No haggle, no stress, just an honest deal. I spoke with Joey there, and after purchasing 4 new vehicles over the past two decades, this was the best experience Ive ever had. Id spoken with several other dealers in Gulfport and New Orleans, and all of them attempted to sell me on something. The sales-people in Gulfport were the worst... almost trying to intimidate me into buying from them. They all seem to be students of the Edward Bernays school of manipulation. Joey never once attempted any of that, and went out of his way to make sure that my wants and needs were met. Not only that, but everyone at the dealership had similar dedication. My vehicle was ordered when it was still overseas in production, and the process was smooth throughout. When it comes time to purchase a new vehicle, I will return to this dealership.
