The service department for Mazda is awful; the service managers are pushy, unprofessional, and do not seem to know what they are doing. The first time I had my oil changed here, they sold me a special for $36.99. Once my car was finished I went to pay, and suddenly they had added another $50 of service to my bill without my consent. The service writer threw a fit and said they had already done the service so I had to pay. He claimed that as a customer, I am required to know what to ask for up front and that it was my fault things were added to my bill. I called for a manager and they decided to discount the added services. The next time I went in, they told me my car needed 4 tires, front brakes, and rear brakes. I acknowledged the needed repairs, but told them I would take care of it. The same service writer from my first experience got defensive and started spouting off about Mazda specific tires, and "deals" they could provide me in-store. I told the service writer that I would purchase my own tires and a different store, and he responded by then telling me that the tires on my car were so bad that he "would not allow me to leave the store without new ones." I passed on the offers and told them I wouldnt buy tires, and they couldnt hold me there, so the service writer stormed off once again, retrieved my car from the shop and pulled it around, unwashed and without being vacuumed. Since my last visit roughly 5,000 miles ago, I have purchased 4 new tires and had them installed on my vehicle, so they are all under 5,000 miles old. However today when I went to have my oil changed, they told me that all 4 tires had 20%-50% left on them, and once again tried to sell me new tires, which gave me a good laugh. After about 40 minutes, a service writer came over and gave me a piece of paper with $1000 for of repairs on it that needed to be done immediately; apparently now my transmission is going bad as well. I told him that I would look into it since I didnt feel that a 2012 Mazda should have this many problems(not to mention my horn hasnt worked for several months, yet they never seem to notice that repair). He crossed his arms and starting telling me how if I didnt pay for these repairs, that my car would suffer serious damage. I nodded my head and told him again that I would take care of it. He responded with, "whatever, its your car" and walked away. After a few minutes, my car pulled back into the bay from the shop. 20 minutes passed, so I went to check on the car, which was sitting in the bay, unwashed again. I went to the payment counter, and they had conveniently forgotten to let me know it was done. Today was my last visit to any Davis-Moore dealership, I will take my business elsewhere.

Purchased a Mazda CX-5 4 days ago, final quality check today. (notably after the 3 day walk away period... lol) WICHITA, KS. Overall... Not the worst experience, but it could have been better. The real joy and good find of the purchase was the F and I department, I went in with a low rate approved and they beat it by a half point and helped me look at some options for financing I hadnt considered. Shawn Lewis, the finance manager, wasnt pushy since I already had equity, on some of the dealer options. Good person to work with, just know what you want when you go in. Rating: 5 Overall not a bad experience, I went in informed so I can say a couple of things. 1) I got lowballed on my trade by about a grand 2) They did come off the sticker and eliminated the dealer add-ons so in the end it balanced out and I got within $300 of the true market value of the car on the deal, but I didnt walk out with a big win. The salesperson was decent and knowledgeable, the sales negotiation was tedious and not user friendly, its not high pressure, but its definitely not "no hassle." Caveat Emptor. Rating: 3 (2 1/2, but for the general pleasantness and sales knowledge) Note: up until the actual price negotiation, there wasnt any gimmickery and they didnt trot out the manager to "T.O." the deal when I stuck firm a couple of places. So thumbs up for that. I did have to say I dealt briefly with the Internet Sales Department, and Laurie was great and seemed to be all about internet sales and transparency, which was comforting. You might consider working this angle before you step on the floor. Rating: 5 (limited interaction to be sure, but she was really pleasant, and in fact encouraged this review) THE PRODUCT 5/5, Yes the CX-5 isnt going to win a drag race from 0-60, but I cut my payment, teched up to a 2013 and it drives so much better than any crossover Ive driven... Im sold. Rating: 5 Thanks, Ken D.

Was met at the door of the dealership by Tanner Nicholson and worked with him. He started out by asking what I was looking for and really seemed to listen. I took a CX-5 for a test drive and Tanner explained its features as we drove. He had worked with some other dealerships in the past and offered honest comparisons between the Mazda and other similar cars (Mazda didnt always come out on top honest). When I returned almost a week later to let my wife try out the vehicle too, Tanner was again helpful and went over the cars features again with her. When I decided this was the car for me (coming back a third time), he walked through picking out features with me and helped me pick out a CX-5 that had what I wanted and didnt have what I didnt want. Wonderful experience. Financing was another matter. I felt like there was a lot of pressure to up-sell the extended warranty and I had to emphasize my rejection of it multiple times and to more than one finance person. It was by far the longest and most frustrating part of the experience.

The sales guy, Jackson, was fantastic! He helped us and took great care of us. Soon as he handed us over to financing is when it went bad. They were in no hurry and on getting everything done on Friday told us we could come down on Saturday. No problem. Saturday gets here, and they didnt do anything Saturday and the banks were closed. They then tell us Monday is the day... Ok we will see. We call them Monday at around 2pm since we havent heard, which is odd since I assumed a dealership about to sell two cars would have a sense of urgency, and they explain whats going on. They now have a totally new offer, when we were happy with the first, and it cant happen any other way. I ask them to shred the paper work and the finance guy proceeds to argue with me saying its my wifes fault. Totally uncalled for and hes lucky I didnt knock his front teeth out. I then explain to him I just want the paperwork shredded. Do not waste your time with Davis Moore Mazda in Wichita. Go elsewhere.
