Great store, truly helpful and knowledgeable staff. I just ran in to buy a drill and they pointed me to the right one...a corded $30 one that was just good enough for what I needed. They won me over when I saw their hay bales outside in front of the store. Thinking it was just straw, for gardens, I took a deep whiff...and smelled good quality hay, it smelled green and tea-like, sweet and deep. Gotta love a place which has the high-tech things plus the tried and true from long ago. Im working on restoring a house in downtown KCK, but we live on a farm in Jeff. County Kansas, so Im going to buy hay from La True now. Hope they have feed.

The LA does not stand for Lower Armourdale. I think its somebodys name. The sign on the west side of the building is amateurish, but its a real hardware store, the type of which is disappearing from Americas urbanscape. Candice is the most knowledgeable woman in the field you will ever meet. Its a pity, really. If she had gone into nuclear physics, maybe wed have fusion energy by now. But she devoted her life to helping dumb customers in Armourdale. If you happen to be one of those dumb customers, I recommend the place. Shell help.

LA Hardware provides us with great value, in they are in the neighborhood, and all staff know their merchandise. I have walked in with a single screw and they know the right "thread" I need. That is where the "value" comes, no return trips over incorrect item.
