Ive been designing and building a large chicken coop by myself. I have purchased materials in small increments as it has grown. I started by pricing my initial materials at Menards and Home Depot--whoever had whatever for less got my business. In the process of ordering materials at both places, I have come to really appreciate Mendards. Chris A in particular was very helpful, professional, and saved me time and money with a little patience and quite a bit of expertise. Sad that other reviewers found employees who were less than helpful. Glad that I got Chris A a few times on my visits. Thanks Menards.

Im a contractor and when I go to load the materials in my truck that I need after spending $5 to $5000. I end up loading it myself. The other people there do the same thing customer service in the lumber yard is poor. If I desire good customer service this isnt the place. They are as poor on service as home depot is. Amazing that a bug store that makes money hand over fist, employs such lazy people!!!! I will goto home depot if things remain piss poor on service. T least in h.d. I know no one is there to help

Scott S. is the worst Menards employee I have ever seen. Ive never seen someone as lazy and rude as this guy. All he wanted to do was try and find someone else to do his job. Menards has a lot of very intelligent and hard working people. Scott S. is not one of em. Because of him I will shop elsewhere whenever possible.---- ---Menards General Manager responded to my complaint regarding Scott S. on the following Monday. --- Thank You

Poor customer sevice. When I asked the employee where an item was again after I couldnt find it the first time, he rolled his eyes and told me it was where he said it was the first time and wouldnt even take 10 sec to show me where it was so I went to Home Depot instead.

Good products, good quality. Friendly knowledgeable cashiers. Individual department support staff not that knowledgeable, businesslike or professional. Support staff needs to be educated on Friendly service of the public and have a better understanding of products

Floor manager was excellent and spent a good amount of time helping us find exactly what we wanted. Also mentioned that if we wanted something different he could order for us. Best service I have had at one of the Menards stores.
