It’s 4p.m. and I receive a call from Gale Welch, of Jewel Box Jewelers, the ring had been completed and I knew that that time had come. I was scheduled to depart for a lengthy business trip the following day and wanted to surprise my to-be-fiancé. We had been car pooling to save money on gas and I knew I had to think of something clever by 6pm. Hmm… trip home to Zionsville… Ring ready… which needs to be picked up… together!!! What was I going to do? On the way home I asked her to take a turn into downtown Zionsville instead of taking our usual route. “why, what’s up” she curiously asked. “Oh, I don’t know just felt like taking a different route” Mind you at this point I still had not figured out how I was going to propose. I needed a place… “Think Josh, Think QUICK”… we were at the cusp of the quaint downtown Zionsville. “Aha” I remembered beautiful garden nearby and thought it would be an excellent place. When we were in Zionsville, I asked her to park. See smiled smugly knowing at that point what was going to happen. We got out of the car and walked to the gazebo in the middle of the small garden, speechless. I must admit this was a very awkward moment. When we reached the gazebo, I got on one knee, took her hand, and asked for her to marry me. She began to weep and pulled me up to kiss exclaiming “yes”. At this point unexpectedly we were applauded by a rather large group of diners at an adjacent restaurant on a second story balcony overlooking the garden. After embracing my fiancé I looked her in the eyes and asked if she wanted to now go get the ring. She laughed in a confused amusement. The time was now 6:30 pm and Jewelry Box Jewelers was scheduled to close at 6:00. However Gale was nice enough to help make the moment magical by keeping the store open long enough to allow me to propose. My fiancé was ecstatic when we arrived to the store to pick up a 1.33kt brilliant round solitaire ring. I had done extensive research all over the web and visited several jewelers, and hands down Jewelry Box Jewelers provided the best value. I am a young professional having started my career only 8 months ago. I feel very strongly that the engagement ring I put on my future wife’s hand needs to be one I will be proud of for the rest of our lives. In addition Jewelry Box Jewelers provided me with service unparalleled by any other jeweler. I was also happy to be able to shake the hand of the co-owner of the store after we had received the ring. I had looked around at a few local jewelers but either received insane prices or they didnt seem interested in helping me find what I was looking for. Jewel Box Jewelers was different in every way. They were very kind and helpful, and took a genuine interest in helping me make the necklace happen. The price quoted was outstanding and the work was completed ahead of my expected schedule. I am always nervous about buying jewelry as quality and price can vary by significant amounts from place to place, but I am very happy I gave this jeweler a shot, and my wife loves the necklace.
