I first went to Jareds. Then I went to Kay Jewelers. They are all owned by the same parent company. I went to KJ after Jareds because they didnt put the right finish on my ring. I went to KJ and shard my not so great experience, and explained I just needed a simple wedding ring (Im a guy, it is super simple). They knew when my wedding was, assured me Id have my ring 4-5 days before the wedding, I paid, and thought it was handled. 2 days before my wedding, still no ring. I had to call them to find out what was going on. They confirmed I was supposed to have gotten a call and ring two days ago. Then they went on to tell me a long story about how they werent getting the ring until tomorrow, wanted me to swap out rings in a few weeks, etc, etc. I was really hoping for a stress free run up to the wedding, and Kay Jewelers is doing everything they can to make sure that doesnt happen. They didnt deliver when they said they would, they didnt communicate this failure, and they dont have a good viable solution in place to have a ring for my wedding currently.

I had a ring special ordered and when it arrived my fiancée decided he wanted it resized. We put the order in and waited FIVE WEEKS until I called to check on it. The promise date was made for 2 weeks so it was 3 weeks overdue. I was called back by the manager who informed me my ring had been sent to the wrong vendor and had been sent back to the store. He also told me the woman who took this order for us had messed up and the promise date should have been more than 3weeks. Which still does not make it OK for them to have my ring for that long and never contact me. They have supposedly put a rush on it and I should have it back in 2 weeks from this point but their promise date is 6 weeks. This is absolutely unacceptable to me. If you are looking to make sure you have a ring picked out and ordered by a specific date, I advise going somewhere other than Kays. After this experience, I will never be returning to their store.

I have a life time warranty on my ring. I had brought it to the alpine kays location to get fixed. Promise date was 2 weeks, no one called. I called them, and my ring was still at the jeweler, not fixed. They told me it was more to fix it then its value. Value to them, Ive had this ring for 11 years, its special to me. Plus I have the life time warranty, so it should be fixed no matter what. A Co worker of mine, picks my ring up from alpine kays, and brings it to Muskegon kays. She only shops at this kays. They said its no problem to fix. Screw you alpine kays, trying to get sale, lost a customer... good job.

The store employees are friendly and helpful but terrible service. Always takes 3 plus weeks for work on rings and then another 3 plus weeks to fix whatever damage they caused. Never get it right the first time.

Completely messed up resizing my ring. Then I was without my ring for 2 months while they tried to fix it and never did. :(
