Today 10/8/16 I spent over two and half hours waiting on a phone that I pre - ordered. PAYTON the sales assistant in mobile phones is a LIAR (buyer beware of PAYTON the LIAR, he work in the mobile phones department) If this was up to me Best Buy in Merrillville would never get one star but I did not have a choice. I pre-ordered an iPhone 7 plus with PAYTON (THE LIAR). He said I would get $300 for my old phone as a trade-in. PAYTON looked at my account he knew that my account was with sprint, he (PAYTON) also stated that I had to put $50.00 down to lock me into the best buy promotion. Well, I did, now today my pre-ordered is back and PAYTON THE LIAR, is saying the promotion was only for Verizon. I ask for the manager of mobile phones; his name was Jake, he was also a LIAR, he attitude was HORRIBLE; he was rude, condescending and unhelpful. He could not even keep his LIARS straight without looking down at the floor. He BLAMED IT ON APPLE I called apple in front of him, and they said that was Best buy promotion; then he said it was Sprint, I called Sprint the same thing. After he was caught in his lies, all he can say to me is I can offer you $100 for your phone thats the best I can do with such an attitude. BUYER BEWARE OF PAYTON the sales assistant and JAKE the manager NEVER GO TO BEST BUY IN MERRILLVILLE to get a phone. Best Buy has a lot to gain not only by selling mobile phones but making the process, friendly, efficient and practical with respect.

I normally dont write reviews however I feel like its necessary right now. I called this Best Buy this past Tuesday asking when they would receive a new order of the Nintendo Switches and I was told to be at Best Buy before 8am Friday because they will be giving out tickets and its first come first serve. It is now Friday and Ive been at Best Buy since 630 anticipating that the line would be long however I was the only one there . When 8am came around not one Best Buy person came out and said anything or even offered a ticket or simply explained since your the only one here come back at 10am when we open. Best Buy workers walked passed the front door looking at me and pretending I wasnt there to say anything . Here is it 9am and sill nothing. I understand if Im the only one there that it wouldnt make sense to not offer tickets but its just common courtesy to let someone know to come back rather than have them waiting and not say anything especially if they have been there early anticipating that it could be long lines.

If this was up to me this shop would not even get one star but I did not have a choice. I bought a laptop and the Microsoft Office was downloaded by the technicians. I went back to pick it up only to deal with Dave who not only was not friendly but highly sclerotic and unhelpful. He could not even stand straight without laying down on his elbows to speak to the customers. Then I got back home and spent close to 3 hours [verible through Geek Squad records] with the 800 number as I was having problems with syncing with my contacts plus the laptop was very slow and it was set on IPad style. After 3 hours the rep on the phone who tried but could not help decided to make an appointment for me to go to the location in Schererville where the technician there was helpful only to realize that I ended up with a loptop that was faulty [Asus] Best Buy has much to gain not only by selling computers but making the process, friendly, efficient and practical.

An absolute nightmare working with the Mobile department. Would not accept a return after I was mistakenly one day late on the 14 day return policy. Everyone working there is friends and has each others backs. You will get no where with a complaint. I REPEAT, you will get no where with a complaint. They are all buddies. Look like they play in the same band together or something. I get spoken down to buy a bunch of loser tech wannabes selling cell phones and laptops. I called corporate with my complaint and nothing transpired. They had the same set of managers that I had a problem with in store contact me. How far do you think that got me? Went to the Verizon store down the street to get bought out of the Sprint plan Best Buy signed me up for and wouldnt rectify for me because of a technicality. I spent over $5,000 in that store over the past two years and now I will never set foot in it again.

Horrible customer service. Bought a Samsung washer and dryer with pedestals. First delivery date comes, they show up to pick up a washer. Nothing to deliver. Next delivery they bring 2 pedestals and a washer, no dryer. 3rd attempt to finish they bring the dryer, but the pedestal for it was damaged and unusable. So on the 4th attempt they finally got everything delivered and setup. Also I wasnt told that I needed another hose for the dryer steam function. Luckily I did research before delivery and went and bought one. It took over 30 days to get everything delivered. Store just tells you someone will call you. Refuses to deal with it. Will never return to another Best Buy. Save yourself the hassle and go to somewhere else.

I called ahead and requested that they put a monitor aside for me and asked if I could come in near closing time as it was an hour drive. The first lady hung up on me and the store manager (Ryan) stated if I made it at 8pm (closing time), I would be allowed in. I was walking through the automatically opened door at 8pm when security approached me and said that I had to turn around as they were closed. I explained the situation and that I would be in and out quickly. The security gentleman looked at his watch when I was done talking and said that its now 8:02 and I had to leave. Also, he was kind enough to add that we "couldnt come in due to payment concerns." Absolutely rude.

I would not recommend please read reviews before going I purchased something that did not work instead of helping solve the problem everyone excuse was that they could not help I reached out to cooperate and the quality team everyone said it was up to the store to refund my money or disputes the fee for the geek squad to fix my pc but the store manager refused any help I was very calm I didnt get disrespectful but at this point I feel like exploding because no one is trying to help even their so called cooperate at this point I want my money back I will never again in my life shop here.

Stopped by my local Best Buy to purchase a projector for outdoor use with my Bowers & Wilkins A7 speaker. Was told from the sales rep that it would work using coaxial cables. When I set up the system, it did not work as I was told it would. Brought it back to the store and was told since the system doesnt have a defect, I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. Manager was not helpful even though I’ve been a loyal customer for years. Be careful with the advise your given, it can cost you. Will not purchase products from Best Buy any longer, I’ll order from Amazon moving forward.
