First let me say that the past seven years I have used Gander Mountain exclusively for my fishing items I went in today for their promotion of the 50% off thing for the first hundred customers. I live 45 minutes away from this particular store and I called up last night and spoke with the lady that told me that it was a guaranteed 50% off for the first hundred customers so this morning when I walked in and was given a scratch off that equaled 10% yoy can imagine my dissapointment. So I spoke to the manager and he agreed to give me 50% off. Alright I thought Im going to look at what I wanted which was a left hand Abu Garcia STX baitcasting reel. Turns out they didnt have it in stock not to mention their rapala wall was about half empty, their soft plastics was a joke, their selection of St Croix rods was left wanting. On top of that I waited 25 minutes in the fishing department and ended up having to go get somebody to help me. First cast sale huh?! The manager did approach me and ask me of I found everything alright, which I replied no and told him of all the non stock in the fishing department. He proceeded to tell me that he could order me the item I wanted but I wouldnt be able to use the 50% promotion on the order. So is Gander Mountain going to do business this way now. The quality of customer service and product selection at Gander Mountain has dropped dramatically in the past 7 years. It really saddens me. Looks like im going to have to find another supplier for my fishing gear. You guus used to be such am awesome store! Get your crap together!!! Probably wont even get a response to this review. That is how much faith I have in this company right now! Update: yeah i know they were for instock and instore items. The point here is you guys were running a first cast of the season sale. The selection of product was miserable. Youre selves and pegs hooks were EMPTY! So how do you expect to have a sale when the merchandise is not there for people to buy?! You guys suck anymore. Ill go and support my local businesses at least there shelves are full when you go to buy something!?

I think Id rather go to the dentist than to Gander Mountain in Greenwood, IN!!! Went yesterday to price a S&W MP9, shockingly I didnt have to wait 45-minutes like the last time and immediately spoke to their gun guy. Wait, did I say "Gun-Guy"? oh no I meant the guy standing at the counter that couldnt answer any simple question that I asked... Another Gander sales person came up and started showing him pictures of a deer someone shot on his phone while he was trying to show me a gun! REALLY The deer guy finely saw a disturbed look on my face and they stooge repeated the questions I was asking. So deer guy turned out to be pretty nice and quite knowledgeable and tried to help me. Strangely, as I was about ready to actually buy a gun after all of this he said he would get the stooge to help me further! Good Grief, do I have fool written on my forehead or what. Sadly I waited about five more minutes until deer guy came back and said stooge would be right there! That was enough, I headed out the door. Wake up Gander Mountain Greenwood! You are losing enough business the way it is due to little or no staffing and over pricing nearly everything on hand. Your business & merchandise is not irreplaceable but your customers are!!! Update 5-15-2017 No wonder they are going out of business! Went to their "sale" yesterday and found a bad joke instead!! Prices were high...Very High, and a 20% discount for a going out of business sale!! What he heck, some things just dont change... ""Good Riddance""

I have been comparing the before sellout and during sellout pricing at gander mountain. They have been raising the price continually. After comparing the price at Cabelas. Cabelas is running about 10 to 15 percent lower than Gander Mountains discount prices. Save yourself time and money, Gander Mountain has never had good prices but right now it is a case of hivhway robbery. SAVE MONEY CHECK OUT AMAZON, OR MIDWAY, EBAY, AND Cabelas before you get ripped off at Gander mountain. Shame on you gander mountain!!!!!

Will never to this store. Zero customer service, poor selection of products and limited stock, not to mention inflated prices. Firearms staff are less than knowledgeable about what they are selling, and nobody seems to want to do their job. Three people behind the counter with no other customers in the area, and couldnt get a single employee to even acknowledge my presence. With Cabelas and Point Blank now in thr picture, cant see Gander staying open much longer.

I went in looking for items from their first cast sale. This is their first big fishing sale of the year. Not once was I asked if I needed help, hardly anything was marked with sale price, 25% of the shelves were empty, and once I checked out they didnt know how to do their reel trade in. I would expect more from a retailer of this size. Apparently, their standards of how a store should look and guest service are much different than mine.

Extremely rude to customers! Cant even ask a simple question unless you want a negative response. Overpriced on lots of items that I can get much cheaper off of Amazon, and dont bother asking if they price match, because they will laugh at you and talk to you like an idiot. I returned everything I purchased there last week, and once I receive my online purchase in the mail tomorrow I will be returning that as well, and will never return.

Worked with the associate Angel R. today. We were lucky to have had the chance to work with such a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable employee. My girlfriend and I ended up spending close to 500$ after Angel helped us find the right shoes for a trip were preparing for. My girlfriend ended up crying tears of joy, after having found shoes that - for the first time ever - made her bad knee feel better! Thank you for the great experience!

Wow! Talk about bait and switch. This store and the company itself are pros at the old "bait and switch" game. I have never seen anything like it. Both the local store and the companys website say IN STOCK but when you go in they try to sell you the same gun for $200.00 more. They say they dont have anymore at that price? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY OR STORE. Go online to BUDSGUNS. These guys are ABSOLUTELY crooks!!!!

Went gun shopping for concealed carry here. This was my first serious shopping trip, but really not sure what I wanted. The salesperson literally started at one end of the gun counter, and ended at the opposite end, showing me the most important features on each model, as well as letting me hold, for fit and feel. I will go back when Im ready to purchase! Wish they had a range!!

It would be nice if they would keep prices on the stuff, about every 4th or 5th item is unmarked. Also, very negative vibes about the new gun department. Not everyone that shops there is a gun nut, not everyone supports the NRA. You have publicly shown your stance on the issue. Do not be surprised when other departments show a drop in business.
