As my family turned the corner onto Post Rd, we were greeting by the bright flashing lights of a fire truck and a fire rescue truck. Needless to say, we approached with apprehension. Another ominous sign would be the full slice of pizza and the Styrofoam cup in the parking lot as if some one needed to set them down to answer their phone, but forgot to pick it up again. My 10 year old daughter was unenthusiastic to say the least, but we laid the decision to stay and play or load and go on the shoulders of our 4 year old son. Entering the building we were awash in the epilepsy inducing light show common among similar recreational facilities and all the sounds of Vegas style fun only a token away. Strategically placed at the back of the game room was the prize booth and point of purchase. We didnt have to wait long before one of the lively, especially considering the time of night that we arrived, workers came to our service, though it was enough time for us to decipher that for $6 we could ride a go cart for 5 minutes, this included in our case two double seated cars, since our daughter was too timid to drive and our son too short to reach the pedals. $26 dollars later (4 rides plus a $2 fee for using a card) we were subjected to an experience that can only be described as good old fashion family fun. The 5 minutes seemed to stretch on as we raced around the outdoor track. My son would tap me on the shoulder only to scream with delight as we were passed by one of the other racers. In our second race our daughter broke through her initial reluctance and took the wheel like she was born to it. Well, like she knew which direction to drive at least. In 6 years I pray that she mellows out some, as she pushed the limits of the "absolutely no bumping" rule. By the end of the night the four of us were sore and tired and we earned every bit of it as we had a great time. On our way out, a girl from another family that raced with us came up to us to tell us we all did a great job on the track. Good sportsmanship, in a kid. Wow! Will we be returning?Definitely.

STAY AWAY! This place is one big scam run but a bunch of power-tripping teenagers. They will kick you out of the go-karts for the most innocent accident. Doesnt matter if you are 10 or 100, one bump and you are out!! Also not a safe location as someone else had their van broken into the night we were there. Edit: I will follow up since the venue responded. A kid, probably about 10, cut over and right into me going around a turn. The back of his car came in to contact with the front of mine and as a result, he spun out. I doubt that even a professional could have avoided this. I certainly was not driving recklessly, the other kid maybe but he was young and maybe didnt even see me. Who knows, but the end result was I was kicked out. Thats right, the kid hit ME, but the teenagers who were running the track were too busy smoking cigarettes and hitting on girls to see what happened, they just saw the end result and blamed me. I pleaded my case but to no avail. I wish I knew you had cameras, I would have loved to see that footage so those idiots could tell the other driver caused it!!! Ive been to many go kart tracks and this one has by far the worst "rules". There is a difference between people ramming each other on purpose and an unintentional accident, but this place calls them all the same = you are kicked out. Youve been warned: make sure you only go about 5 mph and stay away from everyone else to ensure you dont touch anyone!!

DO NOT GO HERE!! I went here for my bachelor party in August 2011. First of all the karts kept breaking down and running out of gas. I had one of my guests that twice ran out of gas in two hours of karting. The best part of the day came on the Belgium Karts (sarcasm). I got in the kart and the seat did feel hot, but I didnt think anything of it (you can see in the owners pictures that the engine is right next to the driver). They warned us while getting in the karts that it was right there and to just be careful to not hit it with our elbows. While we were riding the worker who instructed us not to bump jumped in an extra kart and was riding around bumping everyone and being VERY unprofessional. When I got out of the kart my hip didnt feel right though. I lifted up my shirt and the skin peeled away. It was so hot just sitting in the seat and not touching anything that I had a second degree burn! (I know it was my bachelor party, but I was sober) I went inside and the lady at the counter did not seem shocked at all and gave me a little band-aid for it that wasnt much help at all. I contacted the owner later in the week and was told tough luck. They said that they wouldnt do anything and didnt think there was anything wrong with their karts. There is obviously something wrong with the kart and Post Road Recreation Center!!

We went here for my daughters birthday instead of driving to great times ,which is where we usually go. We all enjoyed ourselves however the employees are way to laid back about keeping safety has a concern. My son who was riding with my husband in a double cart was struck on purpose by another driver which caused him to hit his chin on the steering wheel and it immediately bruised up. People were allowed to start and stop at their leisure which meant anyone could of been hit by a car trying to exit the track. And actually an employee was hit while trying to start a car. I went over to check on him since no one else thought it was important enough to do do and his words were they never care they think its funny. I think the young girl working outside was more worried about flirting with her co-workers than working. They stood around eating and drinking and playing on their phones. There needs to be a better training program at this facility. It could be a great local place but unfortunately its going to turn into a hangout for trouble makers and be shut down.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I had my sons party here and it was thee worst experience I have ever had. The staff were very rude one accused me of stealing tokens after I paid for the birthday package most of the games didnt even work and when it was time to ride the go carts they only had two double seaters. I was told we would be able to do indoor go carting because this was a party for a younger age group and all the parents would have to ride with their child and we couldnt even do that.I was told all lies we had to ride outside in the cold in 40 degree weather with 5-10 year olds and one of the kids split her mouth open because of their broken seat belts and the didnt even see if she was ok.I also paid for two attractions for nine kids and after everyone FINALLY got a chance on the go carts no one wanted to go again and they wouldnt even refund me for the other attraction none of the kids use DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!!!
