I went with them when I kayaked down the Coosa river. They shuttle you to the Jordan Dam which is the put in point and they have a take out point at the outfitters about 7 miles downstream from there. Once you reach the take out point, their employees take care of getting the kayaks back up the hill so you dont have to worry about that. The walk back to the parking lot is a bit inconvenient especially when it is hot outside, as it is a good 6-8 minutes back to your cars. But on the bright side they have changing rooms and showers for you to freshen up before you head back home!

Fantastic whitewater adventure. If youre looking for an exciting way to spend a morning, check out the six-mile trip these guys provide. Theyll rent you a boat and gear and take you up to the put-in below Jordan Dam, then guide you if you need guidance. You probably should. at least the first time you do it, as their are several choices at a number of rapids and you do not want to take one above your skill level. This outfitter also provides free camping with hot showers! Great folks and a great way to get on the fun part of the Coosa.

Who would expect it? The Coosa Outdoor Center exceeding our expectations. I figured they would have a few items to call themselves an oudoor "center" but didnt expect what we found. Not only is the staff super helpful, the stock of merchandise if first class. From the selection of kayaks and hiking gear down to the small detail items. I walk out with a great pair of hiking boots. Its a hidden treasure if your into outdoors and are even remotely close.

Ive always had a great time whenever Ive kayaked here! The staff has always been very accommodating and outgoing. Only downside compared to their competition is that they have you pay ahead of time, and depending on weather; thats sometimes a bad idea, but in their defense; they will allow you to switch to another day if that happens or if you just want to switch it after purchase.

The best experience around! Wonderful staff, great boats, and beautiful property! After floating down the river, you take out right there at the property and you can camp! Theres showers and bathrooms, water available, the store has everything you could possibly need for an outdoor good time!

Ive been kayaking with COC since I was a freshman at Auburn, and 10 years later I still love to go back. The owners are the kindest people and its obvious they truly love what they do. Affordable rates, good quality boats, and the gorgeous Coosa River make this the perfect trip, every time.
