This is maybe my first ever online review, but when I tell you that these guys are honest beyond compare, give amazing service, and play NO games, I am not exaggerating. They have serviced my car for years. Heres my story. 1) They kept my 11 year old Prius running in top condition and recommended reasonable repairs (we had a headlight stability sensor issue and they recommended not to replace it towards the end of the cars life 2) We bought a used Corolla from them. No games, great car, honest price. Just what we needed. 3) When my current Prius broke down, had it towed over there (this is the first time they are seeing this car). They called, discussed that the car is almost certainly covered by dealer warranty, called over to the dealership and discussed this issue with the service manager, and are currently supervising the towing of my car over there. Cannot say enough about how honest and good these guys are. They deserve all the business you can give them.

You will never go wrong by using all the services of Northshore Automotive! Tim and the guys will assess your vehicle and give you the honest straightforward answer and the options you may have to repair the problem. Their work is first rate better than any dealer or "chain shop" could ever do. Their prices are fair and competitive. And when it comes time to buy a new vehicle, Tim will get you the right one just for you. You cant really call them used because the cars are meticulously prepared for sale. Ive purchased 3 cars from Tim. All have gone the distance and then some. My current one now has 225,000+ miles and is still going strong thanks to Northshore! My next purchase will definitely be from Northshore and will always be serviced there!

If you want an honest appraisal,a clear explanation of needed repairs, a fair price and work completed in a reasonable amount of time, you need to visit Northshore Automotive and meet the friendly, professional staff. For the past 20+ years this has been the only place my Toyotas have been serviced. When you know you will always be treated fairly, return visits are the norm. Through the years Ive purchased several cars from Tim Fella, and each one has been a gem. I have two friends who also made car purchases from Tim. We have all been happy with our choices. Its very comforting to do business with reliable, knowledgeable people. Respect goes both ways.

On a recent visit to Chicago, my 2003 Passat wagon was overheating -- and I needed to head out of town. Northshore Automotive took me in as a walk-in, put my car at the head of the queue as an emergency, diagnosed the broken fan and fan assembly clutch, got the part in and repaired it while I drank coffee and worked on my computer at the Paneras a block away. I was back on the road in three hours. I dont know if the $800 charge (half parts, half labor) was a super cheap deal, but it seemed reasonable to me and I was very happy to pay it. They treated me very well, explained everything carefully, and fixed the car. They won my confidence completely.

About 3 months ago I was introduced to this Garage, after needing a second opinion on my vehicle. After the diagnostic check they listed all the cars problems in priority of needing to be fixed, quoted me the total, and said they could have it done in 3 days. 3 days and almost 3 months later, my car, other then needing tires, and a little work on the front passenger suspension, rides like it did 6 years ago when it was new. They are honest, and fair. I will go to them the rest of the time I live in IL. Which hopefully wont be much longer, no offense.

I know that when I take my car to Tim and Ryan I will only be paying for things that truly need repairing. Without a doubt the best non-dealer service you can get. they have been in business 20+ years and we have taken many of our cars in for maintenance and repairs. they have successfuly worked on toyota, Honda. Lexus and Mazda for us over the years. Fair prices, honest assessments nad a friendly bunch to deal with. Wish all service providers could be this good!

I cant say enough good things about this place. I feel like I can always count on them to do an honest, quality job on my car whether I need an oil change or new brake pads. Ive been to other places and have been ripped off having to go right back in a month or two. At Northshore, they use the best parts and their technicians do excellent work!
