I just purchased my 4th Volvo from Fields Volvo. I can’t imagine ever going to another dealership. I trust the people at Fields and they have always taken outstanding care of me. I know nothing about cars and engines, but I know that I can trust the people at Fields Volvo. I remember one time, quite a few years ago, I had an important event to attend downtown and when I got into my car, messages came up advising me not to drive it. Fields provided a loaner car, which appeared on my driveway within a half hour, and I was on my way. They always go the extra mile for you. My last two purchases were made with the help and guidance of Roger Martinez, who could not be more knowledgeable or more patient. He is one of the reasons I keep returning to Fields. Once I bought my first Volvo from Roger, our relationship did not end. He kept in touch with me, always recognized me when I was at the dealership for a car wash or service, and has been a constant source of knowledge and support. A couple times, when things unexpectedly happened and loaner cars were not available, Roger made sure that I was provided with a car to use. My most recent purchase is a 2015 XC60 T6. I had some problems with my 2010 XC60 T6 and over the years, Fields always took wonderful care of me. But it got to the point where I was uneasy taking the car on long trips. Pat Hubert (general manager) and Roger advised me to call Volvo corporate. A review process was initiated which very quickly resulted in my being able to purchase a new car at a price I just couldn’t refuse! I’m very grateful to Pat and Roger for all of their help with this. And, I love my new car! I never had a working relationship with a car dealership before I started going to Fields. Being a Fields Volvo customer is a totally different experience than I have ever had before. Over the years I have recommended Fields Volvo to many friends and I will continue to do so. I could not be more pleased with them.

So, just to start, top notch dealership! Hence my 5 stars. Interestingly, just 3 days prior to going over to Fields Volvo Northfield we had one of the worst car buying experiences ever which I wont get into here. However, I saw they had a 2010 Subaru Outback at this dealership on their website. We had to check it out. My wife and 2 sons went to this dealership hoping to drive away with a much needed upgrade from our 1997 Toyota Corolla. We worked with Mike Kocielski. Mike was very professional and down to earth, a rare combo these days. He didnt come off like most car sales people where you feel like you are in a shark tank with people who could care less about anything except selling a car. The car was in great shape, and the test drive was perfect, and we really wanted the car. So, we started the whole FI process. Having 2 young boys at a car dealership for 3-5 hours is usually a recipe for disaster, but at this dealership it turned out to be no problem at all. They have a great kid friendly service area with a noise-proof kids room. They had refreshments for us the whole time which made the whole experience second to none. In the end, they were able to get us a very affordable payment and we drove away with an awesome car. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase either a used car or a new Volvo. The people you will work with are great. Hope this review helps anyone looking to purchase his or her next car, trust me, taking a visit to Fields will leave you nothing less than amazed.

If there is one thing that keeps me coming back to a Car Dealer for service is the quality of the service and the service advisor. Fields Volvo of Northfield is an outstanding dealership and may have one of the best service advisors in the industry. His name is Justin and worth asking for. From the minute he greets you at your vehicle you know you have found the “gold standard”. You cannot help but feel his friendly personality but this is only the beginning. To find a service advisor who makes you feel like the valued customer you are is truly amazing. Justin does just this. He tells you everything up front, keeps in close contact with you while your car is being serviced, and even handles the tough situation when the service technician finds a surprise. And we all know what that means. But what I find even more amazing is that Justin can explain car technology in a way that non-technical people can understand and then together can make an informed decision about what repairs should be done – and yes, which ones can wait until a better day. It is really nice to feel like you, the customer, are in control. Mark Fields should be proud to have Justin on the “front line” representing an outstanding dealership. And in case you are wondering, I have purchased new and used Volvos from every dealership in my local area over the past 25 years. Now I drive past two other Volvo dealerships an additional 15 miles so that I can receive the best service, with the best service advisor I can get! Justin - Priceless

Last week I purchased a pre-owned Fiat 500 for my daughter from Fields Volvo Northfield and the experience was just terrific. The dealership was very clean with a great customer waiting area stocked up with nice selection of soft drinks, fruit juices, and snacks. Although it was only a small and inexpensive car, Bill Plain, the sales consultant treated us like we were buying a brand new $40,000 luxury car. He showed the car to us inside and out and spent his time to explain in great details how to operate this Italian car to my daughter. He went over each button and knob in the car. He also laid out all maintenance history and carfax reports of the car. Before we picked up the car, the dealership washed it clean and they replaced its old battery with a new one at no extra charge. At no time I felt any pressure to buy the car or any maintenance contract or an extended warranty contract. Overall, I feel that I bought the car at a fair price and my daughter and I were very satisfied with the purchase experience. Everyone else (Andrew and Mark) who was involved in the transaction was also courteous and friendly. I would easily recommend this dealership and Bill Plain to our friends and family. I believe this dealership deserves the 5-star rating.

When we arrived at Fields Volvo it was to take a look at their used car selection. we had been to the north location Fields Fiat where we looked a similar car but we where not overly satisfied with the condition. As we walked into Fields Volvo it took a minute or so for someone to greet us. I felt that to be a little strange. But once we had a salesman assigned to us it was pretty much smooth sailing from there (plenty of wind too, I mean outside that is). It was not the best day to be shopping for car but we pushed through. Once we looked through their inventory we found a few cars we wanted to look at and our salesman handed us the key and let us have at it. Once we went through a process of elimination we had a car in mind. Our sales man let us take the car out for a spin... This was the car we ended up buying, but we a couple hiccups along the way. I dont want to get into the particulars lets just say this is why service is just good for my experiences. I will say this, I bought a really nice car at a excellent price. I will recommend Fields Volvo to my friends and family because the price is right.
