The customer service is atrocious. We waited patiently in line for over 10 minutes while the idiot cashier was failing miserably with the customer at the counter. NOT ONCE did she look up at us, or say she would be a few minutes, or even tell us of another register. The manager had to come over to fix her multiple mistakes and he didnt even think to say hello to us or open another register so we could make our purchases. This store is a joke. Im furious. Save yourself the headache and shop at borders. I will not be retuning! WAY TO FAIL at something that should be second nature. Children have better manners and more common sense.

This is a beautiful Barnes & Noble, 2 levels full of great books and array of merchandise. I enjoyed looking around. I received good service from the associate in the music area. She was pleasant and very helpful. I stop short of giving this store 5 stars because my cashier was, well, rude. He didnt greet me, he didnt even look at me...mechanically went through his spiel, barely said thank you and handed me my bag. That was disappointing. Last impression, not good. But overall a nice store...

When asking for assistance finding a book, its great. Just the problem is sometimes, when checking out, the employees are not extremely friendly and can get a bit, snooty lets say. I mean I understand I may look like a delinquent and a bit out of place at a book store, but Im buying a book and providing service to your location. I dont think I should be treated any different as to when my grandmother purchases books.

Convenient location with nice product selection. I like the two-floor layout, however I think that the café should have been placed on the lower level for customer convenience. Speaking of the café, the employees move especially slow to complete orders compared to other locations Ive been to, with service that could be better in my opinion.

Great bookstore! My wife and I are suckers for Barnes & Noble. There is an immense parking space outside and its fun to study and read inside. There are great places to relax around and there is a Starbucks too. However, when asking for a book, one of the employees was not very helpful and I felt more like a burden than client.

I searched online first for fingerplays. Then I went to the bookstore. In the childrens section, they hadnt heard of fingerplays. I showed them my phone and explained that I was a medical librarian, and I had heard of fingerplays! I was not a happy camper, so I went to the library & checked out 4 books on fingerplays.

This Barnes and Noble is gorgeous! Its two stories, has a spot specifically for childrens books with a very small play area, they also have a hands on learning area with Lego blocks to play with by the Starbucks cafe. Overall an elegant bookstore.

I am primarily interested in history, science and movies. The Oakbrook B & N has a larger supply of these (and other subjects) than any other book store in the Chicago suburbs. Its the place to go for books, movies/music and associated supplies.
