Dear Mr. Crescent, From June, 1944 to June 1946 I served in the Sixth Cavalry Reconnais- sance Cavalry Squadron attached to General George Pattons Third Army during World War II. I served in three major battles of that war . I was awarded a number of decorations and accumulated some memorabilia primarily of Nazi origin. I had been wanting to sell some of the items I had accumulated over the years particularly those from my service time in World War II. I was very hesitant about doing so because I did not know who to trust as a buyer. After a long number of months evaluating the advertised buyers I decided to take a chance on Crescent Jewelers who advertised that they were especially desirous of buying military items and would be available in my neighborhood. I also noted that they bought other assets such as silver. I took the first step by selling a Nazi Luger pistol I had taken from a German officer during the war as well as a few small silver objects and a few U.S. coins. The transaction was very rewarding and I found it to be a pleasant experience as well Bill was interested in what else I might have and that led to my selling all of my World War II collection including my uniform, medals, a large collection of German decorations along with all of the family silver. The price was fair, the negotiations were pleasant and I highly recommend this company and especially Bill as a place to go for an honest and fair selling experience.

DO NOT GO! DO NOT TRUST! I posted a real review on Yelp back on 3/8/2015. Now suddenly, two months later my review and ALL NEGATIVE reviews have been pulled! Why? My guess and from what I have seen and now know is that Crescent Jewelers paid and bought AD space on Yelp and flagged all their negative reviews, so they could be pulled. Must be really scumming people. Cheats, you would say. So fare warning! Do not trust all their positive reviews from their friends, workers, and/ or family. This would be one of those times you should believe the BAD over the good. Below is my original review that was posted on Yelp. The truth must hurt for them to go so far out of their way to have them or to try and have them all removed. "Disappointment after disappointment. I went several times to get Pandora charms and they never have what you want or have it in stock. This last time the girl was rude and gave me the bums rush, like she had something else better to do than to wait on customers.Besides the fact she was dressed as if I was visiting a strip club, rather than a professional jewelry store. I should of went to Jareds and eventually did. Jareds had the items and in stock, not rude, wanted my business and were professional. Please go somewhere else other than Crescent Jewelers.

So glad I checked out all the reviews before I decided on where to go for advice!! First visit was spent with Karen who was so patient and kind enough to explain to us how to determine the value of some jewelry we were holding, as part of a family estate. Most places wont give you the time of day, let along look at each piece and give their opinion as to their true value. We had no idea if we were holding precious stones, gold or junk!! We were not looking to unload it but rather to find out just what we had. Karen we suggested we come back and let the owner also take a look and give us his opinion. We did return and he was just as nice and helpful. I felt so good about this visit that I decided to leave my wedding ring with them for some work. All this great service and we were not even shopping. Not many places like this anymore. I will definitely return to make my next jewelry purchase!! Thank you!

Nice salespeople, but very uneducated. Do not know what stamps on gold or rings mean, walked in with 14K P (14 karat plum, aka 14k solid) and sales people assumed it was plated. Not until after a more experienced employee walked out did she know. Also will not test other stones, just diamonds. Tried to offer $40 for a Diamond and Ruby necklace that I was just told, then sold for $2500 after they did not test the stone, just assumed it was a garnet. News flash like diamonds, other stones come in different shades as well, please use your equipment and test properly. Would not recommend this place to anyone seems very shady and like they just want to low-ball you or just have no idea what they are talking about. Very sorry for anyone who sells to this place, please do more research yourself and protect your family members from this kind of treatment like I did, Crescent offered $200, sold everything for $3600.

Horrible experince for our first time coming to this shop my girlfriend and i went into the shop and greeted by a very nice lady we had asked to get a ring that i found at a park checked out no big deal or anything, so she goes and tells this other person to come out and check it out. So she did and she was by far the most ignorant lady i have ever met from acting appauled at the sight of a fake ring to ACTUALLY saying to my girlfriend " do you really want to look at that ring, its not like youll beable to afford it."... No lieing when i say this.. a very terrible first experience.

I wanted to take the time to write a positive review about Bill Crescent as he is nothing short of an awesome guy! I went to him to turn a 3 stone anniversary ring into a tension style setting. He purchased the two side diamonds (gave me close to what I paid) and was able to discount the Gelin Abaci setting unlike any other jeweler I had contacted. He goes above and beyond to try and get you exactly what you want for a better than fair price. He is very personable and takes the time to answer all of your questions.

i went in to sell some pines dateing as far back to 1910, the lady who i talked to said she would pay me $5 for all four of them because thats what the sell on ebay and was mean about it. if i could give them zero stars i would. dont waste your time they will try to rip you off in these hard times and dont care about you as long as they can buy your stuff for a low low low price and buy the way the pines are about $150 each on ebay. these people are stupid and not worth anyones time. just go some were else.

My husband and I took a ring we were interested in selling there today. They only offered $2,500 for a ring appraised at $12,575. Went to a different Jeweler and was offered three times that. I would definitely look else where if you are interested in selling any jewelry. I dont know if they just didnt realize the quality or were trying to cheat us. Either option doesnt say much for their expertise!

Hi Bill, rings were absolutely Perfect - you were correct, it does only need to increase 1/4 maybe 1/2 - she will love them and thank you so much for working with me on the price. I know the economy is tough and I appreciate the great deal I got with you. I just wanted to let you know that you were 2k less than Jareds and that really helped.
