This dealership is owned by someone who is dishonest. If theres one thing in this world I cant stand from a dealership, its someone who is dishonest. I was looking at a 2002 Mercedes Benz C240. Great condition, very well maintained, and had all the bells and whistles. When looking a little closer in the engine compartment, I saw that the AC compressor wasnt working. When I asked about it, he said his mechanic had stated nothing to him and he was unaware of the problem…possible, but not likely at all. So, I gave him the benefit of the doubt to find out a little more on the car. He said he would show me the carfax to show that it hadnt been in an accident or anything along those lines. When we went inside, he started going on Ebay to find out about how much a new compressor would be, and then informed me that I could fix it myself. If theres one thing I know about Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and all the other import cars, it means special tools are needed. Not just that, but the compressor is underneath the engine, very inaccessible. So, I left, thanking him for taking the time, and went down the road to the guy who works on import cars, right next to 72 and 68. When I informed him that I was interested in this car, he informed me that he had already taken a look at it, and just the compressor itself was a $1000 fix. But that wasnt all that was wrong with the engine. HE SAID HE LOOKED AT THE CAR AND ALREADY TOLD THE OWNER WHAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED!!!! So, why would the dealer not know anything about this problem? Dishonest, I wouldnt trust him as far as I could throw him.

There was no dishonesty implied! You were told by ME the car needed a compressor. As we proceeded inside to look the a/c compressor up on "Ebay" as you stated. So im surprised you state in your review that the mechanic was first to tell you and I had lied.You tell two stories. Also any mechanic in this economy would quote an inflated price. Sir, I do not pay retail for repairs and never will as it sounds like you do! I apologize I did not want to take your smashed car in on trade. As I told you we dony sell smashed cars I realize now I might have offened you since you were looking to upgrade to a 2002 not a brand new vehicle.

I didnt actually purchase a vehicle from Main Street Motors, but Im familiar with someone that did, and shes very very happy with her Jeep and couldnt say enough nice things about her experience getting it. She didnt feel pressured to buy and she felt the price was good. Overall, I guess the best thing you can say about a used car dealership is that you dont regret the purchase (great SUV, great price, great service).
