Five minutes after calling a salesperson (Paul Parent) concerning an online advertisement for a specific truck being offered for sale, the online price increased $1,000.00. I called the salesperson again, although no answer. I immediately emailed the salesperson with two screenshots of the advertisement: before the cost increase and and after the cost increase. Literally 5 minutes had passed. I didnt receive a response from the salesperson until the next morning at 10:30am, at which time he ignored the screenshots I sent and said the price was as is listed. I again wrote back letting him know the price had increased $1,000.00 just five minutes after my inquiry call. He emailed back letting me know the following, "My manager bumped up the price at 4:55pm and our website reflected that shortly after our conversation as a result of the vehicle being priced a little too cheap in comparison to the ton of GMC Sierras we have sold in the last week." At that point I responded with the following, "The real confusion for me comes in the timing of the price raise. Whether it was pre-programmed hours prior to our conversation, it literally happened minutes after our phone call. Additionally, you said the price was $41,495 after I sent you information showing the time and price it was listed at $40,495. Why you didnt clarify prior to me mentioning this is the real questionable practice...." I said that I would refuse to work with him and his firm, and suggested this practice was unethical. I received an email from the owner of the company, Brian Lenz, which stated the following, "What Paul relayed to you is 100 percent accurate. I raised the price because we sold twelve 2015-2016 GMC half ton trucks in the past two days, so that tells me that they might be priced too aggressively. We would honor the discounted price since that is what you saw it advertised.............that is the ethical thing to do. I understand if it doesnt work on your end, but if anything changes please reach out to Paul Parent. Thanks for your consideration." My response: "Thanks for the email, Brian, but I simply cannot deal with your firm after what transpired. Have a nice day." I then received the most astounding correspondence Id ever received in my life. Brians email back to me stated the following: "Are you the same person that is a registered Sex Offender in the Denver, Colorado area? If so, I dont think I would want you within 500 feet of our firm, but thanks again for your consideration. Check with your PO before leaving the greater Denver area too! Sorry it didnt work out." The thing is...thats not me. To prove this - which I really didnt need to do, but I did - I called Brian and gave hm my birthdate so he could realize the mistake he just made - at which time he listened, hung up, and likely reflected on the mistake he had just made. No return call from Mr. Lenz. My concern has to do with the owner of this company finding it reasonable to attack a client in such a manner because a customer felt as though his firm was acting unethically. Their story had many holes and I had a right to say what I said and politely move on. The crazy thing here is that he actually went out of his way to search for a person with the same name as mine, and at that, in a metro area of 2 million plus people! Very, very troubling response from this individual. Im likely not the first person to have gone through this, so I wanted to share my experience to ensure people understand the vitriol this person spews and how he deals with clients that dont work with him for one reason or another.

They got me out of a huge dilema ! We recently decided to do more camping in the future. Along with that decision came a HUGE financial dilema and a financial problem that other Auto / Truck Dealers in the Fox River Valley simply said "we cant help you, because you owe too much on your trade-in". After hearing that line... (no less than 3 times), we decided to check out Lenz Truck Center and see if they could help us. Our problem was that we indeed "owed more than the car was worth". In 2012 I had purchased a New 2013 Dodge Dart at an area dealership. It was a Great Little Car and it had awesome reviews and awards... but I bought it immediately after filing bankruptcy in 2012. Besides that, the car was not "well received", and many New Car Dealers in the Upper Midwest still have many brand new 2013 Dodge Darts on their lots! Not to mention 2014s and in September... here comes the 2015s. Translated, what that did to me, was drive the overall value of my car way..... down. So that it was now worth roughly $8,500.00 less than I now owed on it. I forgot to mention my finance rate was at 22.9% when I purchased it... due to the fact of my recent bankruptcy. I never had a late or missed payment on that car, and most Dealerships didnt want to give me the time of day! Then in 2013 I was injured at work and became disabled and my gal was found with Breast Cancer as well. That is when I checked out Lenz Truck Center. The very next day Brad Lenz one of the owners of Lenz Truck called me to discuss my plan in regard to trading-in a 1.5 year old car with under 16,500 miles and in excellent condition. I told Brad that we wanted to buy a Truck to pull a 5th Wheel, or Camping Trailer and trade in the 2013 Dart. Brad went right to work, called me back 2 more times that day, asked a few more questions and said... "We will find a way to help you folks out"! Yesterday we left their Lot in a 2011 Ford F-150 Lariat 4X4 with gobs of Super Nice Options, it was just what we needed and wanted to pull our future camper trailer. Brad worked to get us a Way Better Bank Rate, and yes, we lost money on that Trade-In, but much less than other Dealerships were trying to throw our way, if they tried some to help at all. So we are VERY PLEASED with our purchase at Lenz Truck Center, and we recommend them to anybody who is looking for a "Nice Truck at a Great Price", besides they have a very friendly and courteous staff. They had us in and out as 1st time buyers in under 2 hours! Most Dealers didnt seem to want to help us, as I mentioned above, especially after I mentioned I also had a Heart Attack in 2013. To say 2013 was a bad year for us is an under statement for sure. I think the World of Brad Lenz and the staff at Lenz Truck Center and so does my gal, mainly because they "Deliver on their Promises".

My experiece at Lenz went like this, found a truck at the beginning of July this year at Lenz. It caught my eye b/c the price seemed reasonable for what they had the vehicle listed as, "Sierra All Terrain SLT with Leather". After contacting a salesman I was informed the truck had just been received the day before so there was only 1 picture online. I asked for a few specific pictures of the truck before I came in to look at it. I was assured there would be pictures up Monday of the truck and that they had xxx amount of trucks and would have what I was looking for. I again stated this was the color and features that I wanted so I need the info on that particular truck. Eventually he sent them and since I was headed to Green Bay that day I decided to stop in. Took the truck for a test drive, then sat down to talk numbers. Which is when I was informed that they are a 1 price dealer. Had I know this up front, I wouldnt have stopped. First, I noted that this truck was in fact not an SLT but an SLE (lower trim package) and it did not have Leather it had cloth seats with leather side bolsters. Salesman assured me that they dont list the info on the description and its pulled from the VIN. Really? But when I ran the VIN separately it comes up as the SLE. To no avail the price didnt change. I ended up taking less for my car than a previous dealer in Milwaukee quoted me at and took the truck anyways. During the transaction I had discovered the owners manual was in French and there was 1 key and fob with the truck. Salesman assured me he would have a new owners manual sent to my house along with a key and fob. Fast forward 2-3 wks, I call, ask about the key, fob, and manual. Im told "yep everythings on order should see it soon". Another 2 wks passes, send an e-mail and get the same response, everythings on order. Another month goes by still nothing, I send another e-mail, then send a message to Brad regarding the key, fob, and manual. Within 30 minutes I get a phone call from a different salesman than I worked with, stating the manual is being shipped and there would be a key and fob at my local GM dealer in a week. Sure enough the manual showed up a few days later and the key and fob was programmed today (2.5 months later). Its interesting how nothing happened until I sent a message to the Owners. My suggestion is to work with Brad from the start. You will have a better chance of things running smoother. Im not saying I wouldnt recommend this dealer to a friend, but I will be sure to tell them my experience up front...
