If I could give zero stars I would. Im temped to call the BBB after this experience. Im writing this review for my sister, she was too nervous to call the shop and tell them what happened so I did it for her. Her boyfriend bought her a bouquet for their one year anniversary. He picked out the bouquet online, a specific one that had her favorite flowers in it. When they arrived they had made up their own version missing 4 of the flowers that he ordered. We got orange roses, pink roses, mums(very cheap looking mums) and thats it. So I call to get his $82.00 back because she didnt get what he ordered. The man who answered the phone stated his name was David, he tried to prove me wrong and continued to SCREAM at me for 30 minutes on the phone. He insulted me, said I sounded too young to be ordering/receiving flowers, said "why do you have to call for your boyfriend isnt he a man", yelling at me that on the website it says they can substitute flowers (which it does not say ANYWHERE on the website), would not give me the managers information, told me HE was the owner then said he didnt want to "get fired" and he owner was overseas. After continuing to lie to me and yell at me he proceeded to insult me so I started to record the conversation. Once I told him that I was recording he told me that what I was doing was a FELONY, then tried to back track saying he was "complementing" me on my age being young, trying to make up for everything he said then I said just refund me half of the money and Ill get off the phone. So he did, not willingly, and before we hung up he said, "Make sure you tell your boyfriend that won the battle and you sure know how to destroy a business." And hung up on me. This is the most unprofessional business and employee that I have ever encountered. If the owner is reading this I would appreciate a phone call.

Absolutely terrible. I received 3 roses, 3 carnations (of course not mixed, that would take effort) and the wrong non-scented eucalyptus (even though I asked if it was seeded or not and was told they had what I wanted), threw some ferns in there (to replace the promised autumn leaves) and hacked it all off to put in a vegetable soup cup (for some strange reason) and charged 43 dollars instead of the 36.95 as quoted. When I called the owner yelled at me as to whether I knew the prices of flowers and that they were expensive and thats why i didnt get what was promised (then why the never mentioned crappy soup cup?). When I told him I wanted my money back or to deliver what was promised, he told me to bring them back. I mailed these to my father recovering from surgery. How was he going to bring them back, and Im in another country. I will fight for my money back, but unless you have a whole lot of free time and money to waste - stay away!

One star is even too many. This business has HORRIBLE customer service and mediocre flowers. My husband ordered me flowers for our anniversary. Apparently, the owner wrote the card number down wrong and wasnt able to process the charge. He proceeded to call my husband 25+ times at work from a no caller ID number, left him messages that he was going to come pick up the flowers. Then he started calling me and harassing me for a credit card number stating that the teenagers who deliver the flowers wouldnt get paid and are complaining. On top of all this, the flowers were delivered 5+ hours after the promised time, and it was a simple bouquet of pink flowers that were probably overpriced. They are already wilting 1 day later. We will never bring any business here again and I will tell anyone who listens to stay away from Northwest Florist.

Northwest Flowers did the flowers for my fathers funeral over 6 years ago and they were absolutely beautiful and NW did a great job. We went to order flowers for my sister in laws service and saw the negative reviews, i was so surprised. Since he did a great job with our Dads, we decided to ignore the reviews and again, they exceeded our expectations. The made Easels to match the families orders, the ones my brother ordered were absolutely gorgeous. At a difficult time like this, its nice to know that you can rely on a business to do a great job. People need to remember when they order online, they are not getting the full value and neither is the florist, youre better off calling the florist direct.! I grew up in crystal lake. David and his daughter have always been the family business I will always order from. They have done such amazing work for my prom back in 1999, my wedding , and unfortunately they just did my mother in laws funeral. They are the best florist in town. No way will I go to any other florist and spend an arm and a leg when I will be guaranteed a better arrangements with affordable prices. Keep up the great work you guys!!! Thanks for all you have done!!!

Anytime there is a wedding in my family I always recommend northwest florist of crystal lake. They have always gone up and over our expectations for our design of the arrangement. I recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks for making my family moments that much more special. Great service! Last min orders have always been fulfilled with no delays and delivered with no issues, I live out of state now but have lots of family in Crystal Lake, when I want to send something nice to my mother and sisters I always go to Mr. Amin! I always tell him to send something pretty, I know seems vague but he always impresses me! The flower arrangements are always so beautiful!

Worst florist ever. I dont think they even take orders directly. All done through 3rd party booking. Delivery wasnt on time and because they were late, no one was available to accept the flowers... If they even came. Still tried to stick me with the cost after calling and canceling after they missed delivery.

Northwest Florist: David took our order and was symapthetic to our needs in our time of mourning for our family. Service was VERY slow in delivery. I ordered the flowers in the morning and they were not delivered until 6pm. And the delivery address was less than 2 miles form the shop.

I am sure that they have beautiful flowers but when I went to place an order online and I went to call them to ask a question before I placed my order. The man on the phone was so rude and hung up on me mid sentence before I even finished asking my second question.

Flower arrangement is not professional. Bouquets are overpriced, imho. Flower choice is narrow. Flowers are not fresh. The only plus: man, who works there is a friendly person.

Came in. The guy didnt even look at me. Selection was terrible. Looked around for about 10 min. Still didnt even get acknowledged - left.
