I purchase everything online from groceries to clothing. I have never had a negative experience until I ordered floral arrangements from Town & Country Gardens. My boyfriends father passed away on Good Friday. I ordered an arrangement to go to the funeral home (in Addison) and his parents home (in Schaumburg). The arrangement that was going to the funeral home was created by another florist and it was beautiful, exactly like the photo on Town & Countrys website. The arrangement that was created by Town & Country that went to the home WAS HIDEOUS and LOOKED NOTHING WHATSOEVER like the "Beautiful Hearts arrangement I paid for. The Beautiful Hearts arrangement, as it appears on their website, is gorgeous. The moment I saw it I knew that was the arrangement I wanted. Its all soft purple flowers and creamy white roses. The arrangement my boyfriends mother received had bright purple flowers and blue flowers and hot pink roses! The colors were blinding and horribly gaudy. I was shocked and angry when I saw it. It was so tacky and not only were ALL of the flowers different/different colors, they werent even arranged like they were supposed to be. Basically, I received a totally different arrangement and they didnt even call to ask me if it was ok. I was so ticked off I called T&C on the day of the funeral service to complain. They offered me a refund but only if they went right then to pick up the arrangement! They wanted to go to the 87 year old widows home, on the day she buried her husband of 65 years, and ask her for the floral arrangement back! I was floored and disgusted not only by their lack of compassion but by their bad attitude about sending a completely different arrangement than the one I paid for. Their response was Were allowed to make substitutions." I understand making substitutions but ONLY AFTER NOTIFYING & GETTING THE OK FROM THE BUYER! The first floral shop I placed an order with called me 30 minutes after I placed my order to tell me they didnt have the plants to create the arrangement I chose. Again, I had chosen a basket with all soft purple and cream. They immediately notified me that they didnt have the plants in the photo. They offered substitutions. I said no. I canceled that order and thats why I then went to Town & Country. The first floral shop did the right thing. They called me to ask if I wanted a substitution. They didnt just go ahead and do it without asking. Town & Country doesnt take that professional, caring approach. They just do what they want and their attitude towards paying customers is Oh well. If you dont like the arrangement we gave you, too bad." The owner of Town & Country Gardens treated me like garbage over the telephone. I was so angry my hands were shaking. I wish I could post photos for you to see how outrageous the substitutions were in the arrangement they sent. I would NEVER, EVER, have chosen the arrangement they sent to the home had I seen it on their website. I would have skipped right by it! It was that ugly! I paid $80 for a hideous arrangement that was more appropriate for a birthday or anniversary than a sympathy occassion. The angel statue in the center wasnt even the same as in the photo. If you have a choice to go elsewhere and purchase your flowers, you should because Town & Country Gardens simply does not care about people. They actually made my grief and sadness worse by the way they treated me. To suggest going to the home of the deceased and ask the grieving spouse to hand over a floral arrangement is beyond reprehensible. Bottom line is; my experience with Town & Country Gardens was the worst online experience of my life and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I was cheated and ripped off big time. I did not get what I paid for and no one at Town & Country Gardens cared.

I ordered a casket pillow for my mother-in-laws funeral. I loved the square pillow, perfect size but I wanted pink and blue carnations/flowers because this was to be a grandma/great-grandma pillow with grandma on one side of the ribbon and great-grandma on the other. The pillow came with the flowers shown in the catalog on the pink and blue I requested and the ribbon on the pillow was blue and I requested pink. It was beautiful but not what I ordered. Somewhat disappointed but no one knew the difference.
