Ill start off by saying that I had a budget of under 5K but was treated like I had an unlimited budget. I am AMAZED by Ultimate Bride and the experience that I had with them. My future sister-in-law and I had an appointment with Stephanie and I fell in love with a Rivini gown that had ruffles cascading down the back but it was my first time trying on dresses and I wasnt a huge fan of the simple front so I left knowing that I had plenty of time (my wedding was still a year and a half out). Stephanie was great to work with and so polite and helpful. I have a background in fashion but zero experience in wedding apparel so Im sure I wasnt the easiest to work with. I wanted something fashion forward yet something that I wouldnt look back on in 30 years and wonder "what was I thinking"? Stephanie continued emailing me options and I just wasnt IN LOVE with anything - even at other stores that I went to. So I decided I needed to fly to NYC. I found a dress that I loved while there and fortunately Ultimate Bride was one of a handful of stores that carried the designer. I thought about how great Stephanie was to work with and how often she followed up with me to see how my search was going. She made me feel like I was her only customer and it was her main goal to find my perfect dress so of course I thought of Ultimate Bride when ordering. While still in NYC I called Stephanie and placed an order for the dress over the phone. A few weeks later they flew the sample in for me to try on and take pictures in. Again, everyone at UB was so nice and helpful. I live in Michigan and my dress and veil was just shipped to me. Everything about the dress is perfect!! I wasnt the easiest customer to deal with. I wanted the dress to be changed a bit and they were more than accommodating. I custom ordered a veil but a standard veil was delivered. I tend to think that businesses show their true colors when a mistake happens. Are they helpful or difficult to work with? Anne helped me resolve my veil issue and she too was great to work with! They went above and beyond to correct the situation! I also had another unique request that Im pretty sure no other boutique would have accommodated but Ultimate Bride. I wont get into the actual request because it is so unique but Im extremely grateful that they went so above and beyond... even after the sale was finalized!! Im telling all of my friends about Ultimate Bride!!! If you are anywhere in the Midwest, Ultimate Bride is very much worth the trip!

So, I have to say--this is the first time Ive EVER written a review online for ANYTHING. I just felt that my experience at Ultimate Bride warranted..well, a warning! I was set up with Virginia. After she was 20 minutes late for our appointment, she literally wandered around the store with no dresses and gave us no directions. We sat there, baffled. Finally my mom and I asked her if we could help her with something and she laughed a little crazily and said she just "got confused and couldnt find the dresses". Mind you, I had called her ahead of time with the style numbers of three dresses I was interested in and she said that they had them in the store. After reminding her of this, she opened a closet and started showing me dresses that were NOTHING like what I had expressed interest in. We pointed this out to her, and she proceeded to run around looking for more dresses. In the end, I tried on one dress I kind of liked, but really I just wanted to get out of there. Ultimate Bride was the worst experience I had dress shopping. I cant believe they tout themselves as a high end boutique! Our experience was anything BUT high end.

The four stars is for Stephanie. If it wasnt for my lovely consultant it would have been a three. I had an appointment and yes, i got lost and was about 10 minutes late but when I arrived the woman at the front desk was beyond rude to me and said "well you only have the remainder of your appointment left". Ok I get it - dont need to remind me Im late.... So Stephanie found me some lovely dresses and like the previous reviews said - she is awesome. So here I was in a $7000+ gown.....wow all of a sudden the front desk woman does a 180 and now is falling over herself to be nice to me. Right. I have money now. Now Im not that same person in jeans and flip flops that obviously shouldnt be in here and was late for an appointment....now Im your best customer.....Right. Overall a nice place with a good upscale selection and some wonderful consultants...but crappy front desk staff.

The bridal attendant Nancy was very rude and nasty. It seemed as if she did not want to accomidate what we wanted with changes to the dress, which we had no problem paying for. The appointment was rushed and when we came back the next day to look at the dress again she continued with her attitude. She did not stop even after I told her I was not going to buy the dress there. I would rather spend more money at another establishment for the same dress and better customer service! I can only imagine what my alterations would have been like there if thats the way that they want to sell something to someone! The whole thing was embarrassing and it ruined one of the best experiences that a bride could have.

I have family outside of Chicago so I combined my wedding dress shopping with a family vacation. The first place I went was Ultimate Bride and it did not disappoint. Stephanie was amazing - very responsive from my first e-mail inquiry requesting an appointment right up through the process of trying on and selecting a dress. With her help, I was able to find the perfect dress, and the whole process was a joy! The girl sitting at the front desk/reception area was quite rude and didnt even hint at acknowledging me or my mother, but Stephanie was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

I was extremely disappointed with Ultimate Bride. The salesgirl that I worked with did not listen to any of my ideas and pulled dress after dress that was totally wrong for me. The store is also very small and cramped. The sales people and customers have to squeeze through the overcrowded narrow spaces. Belle Vie is a much larger, nicer store.

Agree with many of the statements below. Stephanie is truly amazing to work with and absolute sweetheart. I had an amazing experience at Ultimate Bride thanks to her help. She knew the style I was looking for from the start, and picked out the dress of my dreams in less than 10 minutes. Pleasure to work with, and highly recommend her!

I thought that Ultimate Bride was overall a good experience. Yes, the dresses are in my opinion overpriced but I did purchase mine from there and I loved it. Maria did a phenomenal job with the alterations. Saturday mornings are the busiest and its very cramped. I would avoid going on a Saturday.
