I do not live close to this bridal store, so I had to call in my measurements (waist, bust, hips) so they could order me a bridesmaid dress. Long story short, they ordered me a dress that was not even my size (the dress was HUGE), and I had to go spend over $100 just to get it altered/taken in because the dress was a size and a half too big. The bridal shop tired to tell me that it was the size that I gave with my measurements, but I am an eight, and they gave me a ten. I even measured the dress myself, and the ten that they gave me wasnt even a true ten, it was actually bigger. I told the lady on the phone that (she wasnt the owner), and the lady on the phone would not let me talk to a manager or let me leave my name so she could talk to me. She even told me that she didnt even know when the manager comes and goes from the store...what a joke. There was no refund or another dress offered. The owner even tried telling the bride that this all happened because I did not go to the store location and get measured by them. INCHES are INCHES, and I am NOT about to drive over an hour away to get measured for a dress when a simple phone call should be sufficient. I guess I should consider myself lucky, because according to the bride, the maid of honor was a size 12 or 14, and this bridal shop gave her a 20. A TWENTY. The other bridesmaids had sizing issues with their dresses also. I mean, mistakes will be made, but as a business, they should try to fix the mistakes that they made. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. They even tried to offer an altering place to get it fixed...and obviously, I would NOT give business to anyone that they felt was worthy after the experience that I had with this bridal shop.

I agree with Carrie. This place was AWFUL. I called a few days before I planned on going with my parents to see what their hours were (werent listed anywhere) and left a message. Nobody called me back. Then, a few days later I showed up to try on dresses. The prices were OK (they were having a sale) but the dresses were tattered and dirty on the bottom. Also, the lady working there wouldnt help pull dresses for me and she wouldnt help me try them on. While my mom was looking for dresses to pull I needed help zipping up some of those heavy dresses. Anyway, the lady never spoke to us, she just hung out and watched us. Never put in an opinion if she liked or didnt like a dress and had no clue when the seamstress could com to help me. When she finally went to go look my mom said we wanted to make an appointment and she just said "OK" and stood there. She didnt write it down, she didnt tell us a time. We left and, of course, never came back. I also found out a few weeks later that my 2nd cousin got her wedding dress from there and it was hemmed WAY too short. Good thing she had a really small ceremony at the beach; she was able to walk without shoes. I would never recommend this place to anyone; please dont let this be your first impression of Florence!

I would give them zero stars but it wasnt an option. I am the seamstress who was called by the Mother-in-law to be of the bride in a panic. It is 3 weeks before the wedding, the seamstress the shop assigned to her and the shop were not returning her calls about the dress. When she finally got the lady to answer, she told the bride that she just couldnt get in the mood to do the relatively minor alterations. The bride picked up the dress that evening and brought it to me. I have been so upset by her treatment. Her Aunt has attempted to contact the shop, at first to make them aware of the issues with the seamstress for their benefit. With no returned calls, I feel they are aware. A wedding is expensive to plan and one of the most important days in the life of a couple. It cannot be postponed because a seamstress who committed to altering a wedding dress that cost in excess of $1,000 didnt feel like doing it. The upsetting part is no one was going to let her know!! The alterations are not difficult, but time consuming on such short notice. No bride should be treated like this!!!

One of my best friends just got married and got her dress and all the bridesmaids dresses from here. It took them 5 months to get the dress there and she only had a 6 month engagement! It took almost 2 months for our bridesmaids dresses to be altered too! Florence is not THAT big of a town...The service was not good either. I felt like no one knew what they were doing and they were always standing around when I walked in but never willing to help me! I would recommend the extra drive to Huntsville or Decatur before I went here to get a dress for any occasion.

I found my bridal gown at Cherry Tree a month after I was engaged. The store is beautiful and has a beautiful atmosphere. The service was great. Even during prom season, they still tried their best to tend to every customer. The bridesmaids were to find their own dresses, so we didnt have to order them. However, my mother, the groom, and groomsmen all ordered from them. There was a slight mix up on the grooms vest, but they went out of their way to make our big day special. I definitely recommend! They also have great taste!
