UPDATED REVIEW: Three strikes youre out. RIPOFF * RIPOFF * RIPOFF * RIPOFF * RIPOFF Ordered the 3 lb. Burrito each time. Our first burrito was 2 lbs. 7 oz. - second burrito was 2 lbs. 5 oz. - third burrito was 2 lbs. 11 oz. INCLUDING extra steak, which was an additional $2.00. Two out of three were burnt, heavy on beans and hardly any cheese. Ordered a STEAK burrito and paid extra for chorizo to be added to it. It was 80% chorizo and 20% steak. BTW the chorizo was bland, no spiciness at all, yuck. Spoke to them about the weight and they said because the TV guy that tried the burrito, ordered extra ingredients in it which made it 3 lbs. Well on their illuminated board it has 3 lb. Burrito not 2lbs. 5 oz. Very deceptive, shame on them. I still stand by my original review for the beans, rice and hot sauces, BUT because of the weight and recently stated problems I wont be ordering from them. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We had the almost 3lb. Steak Burrito. It was surprisingly delicious considering it was coming from a supermarket. So tender, juicy, cheesy and filling. Hubbie and I split it. Also we ordered a side of beans (good) and rice (different) it had olives and some beans, not refried. The green hot sauce was medium strenght and the red hot sauce was hot. But not flaming. It had a good bite to it.

The Martinez Supermarket is my favorite place to pick up lifes necessities. Are out out of toilet paper or cat food and hungry for a taco at the same time? Walk 100 steps from your front door and the Martinez Super Market has you covered. I occasionally need emergency ice cream infusion. Mr. Martinez stocks Ben and Jerrys and a variety of Mexican treats. If you call ahead, wait 10 minutes, walk to the store; your tacos are waiting for you. You dont deserve to be treated this good.

I didnt really shop, I went there for the reataurant in the back. They have HUGE burritos for 8 something, I had the chorizo which was amazing (use the red sauce, its pretty spicy but tastes great). I had to then buy a pound of their chorizo and made awesome chorizo and eggs the next night. I cant wait to go back. Ps. I saw a guy order and eat most of a 7 pound burrito, it was insanely big!

Lived in this neighborhood over a year and just found this hidden gem. Supermarket with fresh produce and small deli counter in back. Also small eat in section serving Mexican food. Weekends carnitas, barbacoa, menudo etc. So delicious. Best place for Mexican food in Bridgeport. Skip all the other watered down places. My go to place when I dont wanna cook.

Best Mexican Food in the area, hands down! They look like just a grocery store, but they have a little "restuarant" area in the back. The burritos are huge and delicious! I am so happy I found this GEM! I love supporting local businesses!
