Nearly two weeks ago, I decided to visit this Jewels. This was my first time coming there and I wanted to put in an order for a cake. I went to the bakery and there was an older Indian lady who supposedly have been working at the bakery at the jewels for over 20 years. I walked up to the bakery and I let her know that I wanted to place an order for a red velvet cake and she kept repeating herself over and over stating that they only have whats out. Basically, there was a circled red velvet cake sitting with the other cakes and thats not what I wanted. I said I wanted an custom cake over and over again. She told me that they do not do that! I told her I have been getting my cakes made from jewels Osco for years so I am completely confused is to why you all do not do that. Then she was like wait, let me see. She walked over, looked in a book, I also peeped over to see what she was looking at, and in that book, was different types of cake that they can make. I was like wow. So, either she didnt want to do it or she lied about it. At that moment, I felt like she didnt want to assist me at all. So, I walked away and asked to speak to customer service and they said I can place an order for a cake. They called the Indian lady in Bakery and she told them we do it and etc. The Customer service rep. got off the phone and insisted that I tried again. I went back to the bakery and the Indian lady was furious with me because I asked someone else regarding there services. She told me "I told you I was going to look, you didnt have to do that, I was looking, you shouldve stayed" I told her, "I felt you were giving me the run around so I found someone else to assist me" and she was like do you want to order the cake or not? I was completely pissed off. She cut me off while I was expressing myself to ask me do I want the cake or not. I told her that she was being disrespectful and I do not want her to assist me. She said, ok thats fine. I walked away, I went back to customer service and I said I will be reporting her. She did not say anything. I walked out. THAT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME EVER COMING TO THAT JEWELS. I recommend going to the Jewels Osco bakery at Brickyard mall. There, the people are patience and theyre very professional! My cake came out amazing! My sister loved her birthday cake and she had more then one slice!

The employees are nice and very helpful when needed. However the produce section is just sad. It is small, empty, and full of produce that rarely looks fresh. I understand that you can only do so much with the allotted square footage of the building, but they could do better by at least having fresh produce. What I find to be more annoying is how they block off access to the store early in the morning on one side to make you walk from one entrance across all of the registers to enter the store. Its not the walking part that is bothersome, it is the fact that if I am stopping there in the morning, I am doing so on the way to work and dont have the time.

Its a clean store with some helpful employees but some of the employees seem to forget the importance of customers and will yell across the store to talk to other employees or will act like you are in their way when stocking or moving carts around. Selection isnt the greatest compared to other jewels and really sucks compared to marianos, like the frozen pizza area is so limited and the produce section isnt that great. Glad I have a car and can go elsewhere else. The management here must not care too much about customer service.

Some of the employees dont know where the merchandise are but they are polite. Furthermore, the deli section could use training on customer service. I was the only one waiting for service at the deli counter and there were 3 employees in back of the counter talking amongs each other. I got tired of being ignored after several minutes, when I was about to take off 1 of the 3 employees asked me rudely if I needed anything I said not anymore and left. Some employees are rude but not all.

I was there yesterday for a few tidbits and thats really all you can get there. It was extremely unorganized, complete confusion with check out lines, and workers that have their own agendas. Managers cant seem to gain control of the environment. Poorly trained individuals and produce workers hiding behind shelves so they can use their cell phones for non work related purposes. They offered me a coupon for a long wait and failed to apply it, why bother. Booooo!!

This is like the only store around. I hate it. There has been a light at the end of the tunnel though. Jeaneene the manager has worked hard to change stuff. One time she even delivered hot chicken to my house because it got screwed up in my order. They are lucky to have her and I hope she successful in trying to turn around this dinosaur! My other open Aldi at the hip. #keepthechangingcoming

I used to shop at this Jewel, but not anymore! You have to constantly watch the prices because a lot of things ring up incorrectly. Most of the old timers are gone and new employees have no idea what customer service means. Produce department is awful, found on several occasions stuff with mold on it. Restroom smells like a sewer.

Stopped recently to buy some fish. All the time I hear on radio that advertise about your local butcher at Jewel Osco. Beside that was nobody there, it was smelling at morgue that almost made me throw up. It was smelling at bad meat at long sitting blood. I will never ever trust Jewel Osco for their meat products. WE LOVE JEWEL BUT !!! I STOP IN EVERY WEEK BUT I HAVE ONE ISSUE . HONESTLY I DISLIKE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT " THIS STORE ". SOME OF THE MEMBER STAFF WORKING WITH LONG FACES IGNORING ANYTHING AROUND THEM NOT EVEN TRYING TO OFFER HELP , THATS NOT GOOD <<<<<

Theres a larger Jewel nearby, but right off Central this one is much more accessible. They have a big lot and carry anything youd need! I enjoy grocery shopping and its an easy experience here. Their deli and fish department leave something to be desired, though.

Only 1 person at 15 item or less register no other register open except self service 1-10-17 The 2 woman working the registers very helpful and worked as a good, very good team I am a lousy shopper & they managed to keep everyone calm.

This is the worst Jewel in customer service the women manning the self checkout are always in a bad mood when you ask for assistance with your self checkouts. You should hire younger staff that actually would appreciate having a job.

I go here because its close. When you buy things on sale here watch out because Ive had more than my share of stale food and candy bars that look like they have been on display forever.
