La verdad la comida está rica. Pero el servicio muy pobre por qué los que te toman la orden actúan como si te estuvieran haciendo un favor y no dándote un servicio, hay muchos restaurantes en Chicago que tienen buen servicio y buena comida, yo ya nunca regresó!!!! The truth is the food is good. But very poor service because those who take the order act as if they are doing you a favor and not giving you a service, there are many restaurants in Chicago that have good service and good food, Ive never returned !!!!

I walked in and it was busy. Lots of sitting customers. its a bit confusing to order. Theres a sign on the cashier that has area to my left. That says DO NOT OREDER HERE. then you go walk to straight and theres a bunch of waitress looks so busy and I stood 5mins no one asked me if I need help. When, I did got help she was nice. Then I waited another 5-10 to get my order n paid for it.the ticket says $13.20. Chili Arellano with Cheese inside green pepper, rice,beans, potato w/eggs.n small green salsa container. I asked for a red salsa and i was refused . because its not free.i said, can I exchanged, cashier said no! (a arogant looking man by the cashier.)photo will be posted.the food I ordered when i opened the container. It does not look worth $13.20

The finest grocery store I have ever had the pleasure to shop at. High quality fresh produce, be sure to check out the discounted ripe items. Good clearance section right when you walk in. Love the packaged botanas and frutas secos. Extensive coffee and tea selection. Great deal of health food (my personal favorite is the brown whole rye bread). Good deli counter with Mexican meats. Homemade tamales are sold outside every morning. Ca$h, credit, debit and link card all accepted. Nothing bad to report. A+

Very disappointed! Placed an order with the waitress for 2 barbacoa plates. I asked her if there was more and she said yes. She took a bit longer. Then came back to tell me it finished when there was clearly enough when I ordered. Even though you wait in line its first served, not first ordered then served. If other waitress grab it first for other customers you are S.O.L. As for there is more that was a lie. Ive been coming here since 1990. Wont spend my money here. Going to El Milagros instead.

Hay muy buenos especiales en es super pero .... algunas cosas que venden ya están caducadas y no se dan cuenta que, ya es hora de sacarlas de la "venta" como por ejemplo el pastel o las rebanadas de pastel que están con grumos verdes.

Best grocery store ever! Help is always friendly and available. They have a section of closeout deals and you can get great prices on fruit and other food that is about to turn. They have a wide variety of foods, including lots of organic/natural brands. They also have bulk packaged spices, which are a great deal. The yogurt section is amazing (many different brands) and they have many more items than you would expect for such a small store. Long live casa del pueblo!!!

I thought this place was ok. I only had one dish. Thier beans were homeade with chorizo which i liked. They do have alot of other things i wanna try. I did see they had tamales ready to go sweet one too. One thing that really sucked was it was hot as heck, there was no a.c no fans nothing i really couldnt enjoy my expierience cause it was so hot. I would go back to try the other things they had.

Excellent Mexican produce variety. Staff is as friendly as a real Mexico typically is !!! I sadly dont live close so my commute to this place takes me long, I was sad to get in and find out that the item I was looking for was out... I called a week later to confirm first, I left my phone number and they called me back !!!! I was happily surprised to see how amazing the customer service is!!!

I really like their food! Its delicious! The only thing I dont like is how the owner talk to their waitress. If she is going to do a correction, I think she has to wait when we, the costumers cant hear. I could stop eating there.. or maybe I would publish something is the social media... If she continues treating them bad!

Hands down my favorite Mexican food in the city. I consider myself the expert of all Mexican food. There arent too many places I havent been! Casa is grand above all! Where else can you stand to order kitchen style then minutes late the ladys come to youre table with delicious authentic Mexican? Do not pass go.

The food has always been good but the service was super slow. It takes the same amount of time to sit and eat. Furthermore the owner is a piece of work that left his register to get in my face because I was irritated at the service. Very disrespectful! And unorganized .

This place is amazing, super nice staff, very organized and clean, smaller on the fresh produce section but they had everything I needed and is very fresh, they also have free parking, and they have a great selection of organic stuff all over the isle!

Sometimes the produce isnt great, but the staff is super friendly, they have good prices, and lots of healthy/organic/ethically produced options. Im here once a week now. Its a total gem! (And their neighboring Taco Stand isnt bad either.)

Best grocery EVER!! Everything you need is there. Theres always a tamales lady outside, shes a warrior. I recommend the rojos. Seriously though, my favorite grocery store and its open late.

The fruit is great, and they have a good choice between traditional foods and new healthy options. The meats section could be better, and dont ever buy green peppers here.
