Be aware folks, these are the car salesman your Mother warned you about. Completely nice on the exterior, but evil on the interior. We had a specific car in mind and set up an appt. to see it. We drove a hour and a half from our home to the dealership. We looked at the car, drove it, and were interested in purchasing it however there was an issue with the brakes and the rotors that we asked them to check before we would move forward with the purchase. They told us they would have their mechanic look at on Monday and would give us a call to let us know how the issue would be resolved. I waited all day on Monday, but no call so I assumed they were not interested in fixing the problem. On Tuesday afternoon I received a call from the salesman who said that the mechanic fixed the problem on Monday, he had some paperwork proving the work was done, and when could we come back out to drive the car again and complete the purchase. I told him that as long as the issue was resolved, we would come in on Wednesday evening and purchase the car. He said okay. At that time I asked him one question about the car fax. There was a gap in information on the car fax where it was unclear who owned/held the car but there were 5000 miles driven. The salesman said he would have to talk to his sales manager and get back to me because he didnt know the answer. On Wednesday, the same day we were going to purchase the car, I talked to the sales manager who told me that another car salesman sold the car on Monday and he didnt know about it because he was off. The original salesman claims he didnt know about it, even though its a super small place and he also claims the car was up on the racks being worked on by the mechanic. The story sounded so fishy!!! But I confirmed today it was a complete LIE because I got a call from the salesman who told me the wholesaler picked up the car, the car was not actually sold. What a terrible way of doing business. I personally think they didnt want to put the money into fixing the brakes/rotor problem and there was also a problem with the car fax that they didnt want to explain. Dont trust these guys with your life, or your vehicle!!!

I operate my limousine business out of Chicago, I have used several other Cadillac dealerships in the Chicagoland area, I ended up at Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington because I was having serious issues with past Cadillac and dealerships in identifying, repairing and resolving the issues which included: 1. The entertainment Cadillac Cue system malfunctioning and 2. Front suspension issues including replacement of front control arm . Although the dealership maintenance department is not over-the-top glitzy it is very clean, the waiting area is not spectacular but its more than adequate. At the end of the day Im not bringing my car in wasting my valuable time to sit in a fancy waiting lounge, whats important to me is to get the car fixed quickly, and in a timely manner, and fixed the first time. Ross, the service advisor, managed the repairs needed. Ross was very professional and delivered on everything he said including an accurate time schedule to repair. Ross verified with the manager Doug that all the warranty items were to be taken care of by Cadillac including the replacement of the Cadillac Cue entertainment system and Ross placed Tim, the mechanic to repair all the problems. I unfortunately had a bad experience with other dealerships that were trying to hustle me for payment for the repairs that were actually covered under warranty, I did not have this problem with motor werks, they treated me honestly and fairly . Tim did a great job in changing the control alarm and replacing the entertainment system, I have had no problems with those two issues since. I strongly recommend Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington and its the only dealership I will bring my vehicle for service. If you dont want to waste your time or be hustled this is your best chance so far that Ive seen out of all the dealerships. Ross went out of his way and provided outstanding service including Tim and Doug and anyone else I was not aware of there, Thank You!

I had faith in them! Walked into this dealership one sunny afternoon, in hopes they would be able to help me land my dream car given some past financial hurdles I recently crossed over. I was greeted with smiles, great customer service, and a great salesman Bill. I was provided with all the necessities needed to make my car experience truly stress free. I was approved in no time and was given the keys to my 2012 Audi A7. The very next day as I was driving the car I noticed "Service Due" flashing as I started the car up. Puzzled because I was told that all cars are ran through rigorous testing and certification, I reached out to Bill who assured me they would handle it upon me receiving my front plate bracket (which was not on the car, and is a requirement in Illinois). Welp months later after my calls, voicemails, text messages absolutely NO ONE has reached out to me. In that timeframe the engine line has come on and off, the undercarriage cover has come down, it appears the previous owners may have cracked it while jacking it up, and no front plate bracket. I literally have my license plates on zip ties to avoid a ticket in Chicago. Ill admit based upon my in-house buying experience I thought I had a dealer for life, but the after buying experience and follow up has been horrid. Buyer Beware with used cars here!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! My husband and I went here on Saturday in DIRE need of a car, as in we needed to leave our 2001 Ford Focus there are drive off in a car under 60,000 miles, totally financed, and in the 10K range (not an easy task to find a car in this range and in this condition). We worked with Mike Vilchik (such an awesome guy) and looked at a variety of used cars. They gave us an AMAZING deal for our trade in (really padded the value and did us a favor because we were short on cash) and we walked out in a 2004 Toyota Camry, with 63,000 miles, totally financed. They took car of everything! They even filled up the gas tank and cleaned the car. The owner, Jeff, sat and talked to us for over a half hour about his family and personally gave us a business card. Told us that if anything was wrong with the car to make sure to call him or he would take it personally. I have NEVER had such an enjoyable experience at a car dealership. Jeff and Mike were the absolute best. AND they even fed us lunch!!!! Seriously, I am so impressed. As a woman in her late 20s I felt like my dad was with me trying to find the safest most affordable car to drive. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this dealership and their staff!!!!

Its not often that I fill out these reviews, but Motor Werks of Barrington certainly deserves it!! I had a very specific check list in the vehicle I wanted to purchase and visited multiple dealerships only to be let down. My entire car buying experience was changed by Motor Werks. From the first moment I talked to Frank Fiore on the phone, he made the experience comfortable and pleasant. Frank is just a true gem-- I kind of want to just be friends with this guy-- that nice!! He took my initial call at 2 PM and by 5 PM, my purchase was completely handled and I didnt have to lift a finger. Frank is delightful, all around-- was kind, sincere, and most importantly, he got the job done quickly and correctly. Dan De La Font-- this man is a class act! He went above and beyond to obtain the best loan rate possible and with my best interest at heart. Truly, Motor Werks of Barrington, you have earned a customer for life!! I love my new ride and will be back to see you when Im ready to purchase another!! THANK YOU!!
