I loved my experience at the Auto Mall of Champaign! I stopped by there a couple days back because I needed a new car...badly. I could not believe the deal I got and how quickly we came to an agreement. Personally, I have always been frustrated with other car dealers. You negotiate, they talk with the sales manager for 20 minutes and return to tell you they cant match your price. Rinse and repeat about 4 times. Its a tactic to get you pay more. So I went in already frustrated by past experiences with other dealers and it showed. I told the sales guy (Curt) the truth; the cars were priced right for the car, just not priced right for my wallet. If we could work something out, great. If not, then fine and Ill be on my way to the next dealership. "Come on in and lets talk", he says. Im thinking, oh boy, here goes an hour of my life. I come in and right away I talk with the sales manager Clark. I told him the deal, the same thing I told Curt, "the cars are priced right, just not right for my wallet. I dont want to waste anyones time, can we make this work or not?" Clark says hell go check. Im thinking I just lost another hour of my life. BUT 2 MINUTES LATER...Clark comes back, shakes my hand and says its a deal. I almost fell out of my chair. It was really that simple! And believe me when I say I got a great deal. He didnt waste my time or his and for that I am really, really grateful. In fact, I would have given the same rating if he had told me we couldnt make the deal; I appreciate the speed at which they do business, the new car was just a bonus :)

Bought a 2012 Focus from here a few days ago. Ill try to keep it brief so people dont have to read an essay. I spent probably over 2 weeks looking for a car (I know, I know its a long time but I am plagued with being thrifty!) I went through many different websites and visited a few places looking for a good vehicle. I saw a great deal on this car online but I saw some reviews on here that scared me a bit which made me visit a different dealer. The car at the other place was perfect but the price wasnt too good and I got a terrible credit offer which I couldnt manage so I couldnt go through with the deal. I decided to visit the Automall because the worst that could happen was losing a bit of time checking out the car and the deals. I was greeted by a very friendly person named Nick and I told him the car I was looking at and how I found similar vehicles at other places but the price and payments didnt match up for me. Nick was amazing. He sat me down and spent over 1 hour calling different places to get me a deal he thought I would be happy with. He then called me over to tell me what he could do for me and wow! he got me a payment plan that was sooo much better than I expected especially since my credit isnt amazing. I bought the car and I am extremely happy with the deal I got! They also offered me a pretty fair deal on my trade. The car is amazing, the customer service was great and payment deal was unbelievable. Will definitely be looking to these guys for an SUV for my wife when the time comes

I purchased a car from this dealership with 66,000 on the odometer after seeing it advertised. I called to inquire about it and was assured it was in excellent condition. I flew out from Connecticut and paid, in cash, for the car. I proceeded to drive the car home and after a few hundred miles I noticed after getting off the Interstate that the transmission would pop out of gear. The fan for the blower refused to work when it got humid enough to use the defroster. The brakes seemed weak also. The check suspension light came on while on the highway. When I got it back to Connecticut, I had to have $2,000.00 worth of work done to the transmission and around $1,500.00 worth of work done to the suspension. The brakes had to be replaced as they were completely shot. The tires were not new as I had been told. The whole experience was a nightmare. The dealership lied to me about the condition of this car. I would never recommend anyone purchasing anything from there because of their dishonesty.

Bought a vehicle that needed at least $1k in repairs and maintenance. Unfortunately I did not have the vehicle inspected and purchased the vehicle "as-is". After inspecting it the next business day, found out the problems and couldnt reach an agreement with them on repairs.**(see update)Turns out the owner of this place is also in charge of another used car dealer in town (United Car Center) and they have an F rating with the BBB**. Definitely not buying from them again!!! **Update:I write this based on information received from a staff of the automall. When I asked if there was an extra set of keys for my car the staff member replied that if there was one, it would be at their other lot. When I asked which lot, the person said at the United Car Center. A 2009 News Gazette article lists this owner as an assistant manager at United Car Center and many of their listings have his name on them. Mr. Nasser, if this is not accurate, please correct me and I will edit my post.

Ok first off this place has it quirks. I can personally vouch for Clark, anybody else not so much. Clark took me through the process and answered every question I asked no problems with him. As for the GM thats another story he is a very grumpy inpatient man. He tried to trick me with some numbers, I did the math myself and it didnt add up and I called him on it. Having said all that I would go back and by another car there if and only if I could deal with Clark again. I suggest knowing exactly what you want and under what conditions before you sit down to deal. Clark will work with you to make something work. As for the vehicle itself a 2010 toyota cammry no issues with it at all a solid vehicle. This place does get a bad wrap from the bbb, but there is a reason for this. They are owned by a corporation who has another dealership that is absolutely horrible and the bbb treats it as one entity, which really isnt fair.

When I was first "welcomed" to the business, I was served with VERY poor customer service. I told the salesman what type of car I was looking for and he responded, "well that narrows it down to about 250". Then I told him my price range and he responded, "well that narrows it down to 0". I thought it was very rude considering the fact on their website they had about 10-20 cars within my range. I then asked if I could speak to Clark who had called me prior to my visit regarding an application I had submitted and he was VERY patient with my husband and I. It was a long process deciding on if we were going to make the purchase or not and afterwards getting all the paperwork signed and everything ready to go for us to take off in our new car. The whole time Clark stayed with us and helped us talk through everything. Its been about a week since our purchase and I am very pleased with our decision!!
