So, here goes. I have NEVER bought a car off the internet. We had been looking for a 9 passenger conversion van that wasnt super expensive. Looking over the past few months, there were very few in decent shape under $18,000. I found one at ACL on autotrader. From the pictures, it looked ok and the price was very reasonable. I called and talked to Brian. He was up front right away about a few things that were wrong with the van. I asked him to send pictures.....lots of pictures. I probably texted him 5 or 6 times to send pictures and he accommodated me every time. Honestly, I was thinking I was being a pain in the butt. I could tell from the pictures, it was in decent shape, not great shape, but hey, the van was 10 years old with 138k miles on it. I decided to take it to the next level and asked if I could, at my expense, have a third party take a look at it. Not a problem. I found Jet Automotive off the internet and called them. (I will write a review on them on their site, but just FYI, if you are looking at a car and want a third party to look at it, call Jim at Jet Auto. They are HONEST solid guys!) Brian had the car taken over there and Jet gave it the look over. I knew from the pictures and from talking to Brian, new tires were going to be needed. Jim called back and there were somethings that would need to be done to the van, but nothing that truly scared me or my mechanic back home. I called Brian, made and offer and we agreed on the price. Now, I should tell you, we are in Nebraska so I was doing all this long distance. I gave ACL a deposit and asked if they would take it to Jet to have them do some work before we picked it up. Again, no problem. I asked Brian if we could pick up the car on Labor day (his day off by the way) again, no problem. I asked if once it was done at Jet, we could get it over to Discount Tires for new tires, you guessed it.....no problem. So, we did all the work and last Friday, set off for Chicago area. We ended up picking up the van on Saturday. It was there, new tires and all. The van was a little "rough" but I knew that going into it. The interior is in great shape. Again, it is a 10 year old van. When we got to the dealership, Brian greeted us and we test drove it. It ran great. Mikey was incredibly nice and the thing that I was truly surprised with was how upfront and honest these guys were. Yes, this isnt a multi million dollar showroom lot. The car we bought was a little older and needs some work, but we knew that going into it and there was NEVER the feeling that I was being sold something under false pretense. The first time I talked with Brian, he came right out and told me some things were wrong with the van. We had almost bought a van the week before and that sales person was your stereotypical "Used Car" salesman. We were in final negotiations of the car and he sent an email saying, "Yeah, had a little higher offer so we took that." ACL was nothing like that. They were professional, accommodating, honest and the experience was great. Ask any questions, they will answer. Be upfront with them because they will be with you. For my first experience of buying a car from a distance, it was great. I know there are a few reviews saying bad things about them, but I can honestly tell you, my experience was fantastic! Thanks Brian and Mikey! We love the van!

I recently purchased a 2001 Saturn from ACL (about 1 month ago). I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I admit that I was very nervous, apprehensive and just plain negative before going there, I mean Ive had some pretty bad experiences with car lots! From slow, drawn out service that lasts for hours to ending up with a total lemon. Brian greeted my husband and I and immediately made me feel at ease. There is such a cool, laid back, friendly atmosphere there. I mean, sure, this is their business, and lets be real, they are trying to make a living just like you and I but let me tell you they are fair and honest. Brian told us about the car and was very honest about any flaws which actually were very minor (door lock problem for instance). This car has been absolutely AMAZING! Only 85,000 miles when I purchased it, MINT condition, beautiful and clean, GREAT, OUTSTANDING gas mileage....I am in love. We just got back from driving this car to visit my husbands parents in Wisconsin 350 miles away. We must have put at least 800 miles on the car there and back. Not ONE problem, drove like a dream just like Brian promised. I am so sold on this company and will definitely be purchasing another vehicle from them in the future (a Wrangler :-)). I HIGHLY recommend them. Dont listen to the negative reviews...there will always be naysayers no matter what you do in life....just listen to the majority. Also while we were on vacation Brian called to say that our plates were there which was very fast and also he promised to have our new automatic door lock (there was a problem with the old one) Such great service!

The manager at this shop responded to a review that they didnt buy vehicles from co-part or salvage auctions but I got a car - fax when the vehicle failed it was bought from co- part and the whole entire front end hit the ground after less than a month after buying it. I bought the vehicle and I requested them to move the vehicle from between the vehicles on the lot so I didnt hit them but when he got to the gate the brake line busted. So he said " it was fixed but then the other 3 broke. Also when I confronted them about the issues they wanted nothing to do with it saying it is an as is sale. Also the old man who is the sales man failed to register the vehicle for 8 days. Also he said " there are hundreds of vehicles we dont have time to inspect them". They are dirty and they lie. There was never a title sent and they lie to cover up. But it is time for the truth to be told. Me and my wife and friend were almost killed they failed to check that the brake lines were not rusted. Also the front end was so rusted it couldnt hold the weight of the truck parked. It fell when parked. The driver door did not shut all the way. And the interior lights didnt work. So Im not going to keep going on about everything wrong with the vehicle because it would be like Santas wish list. The vehicle made it about 3 minutes after purchase then it broke.

Came in with my boyfriend to look at a Mustang for him. Worked with Brian when we came in and filled out the finance form. He was on top of calling us first thing the next day and kept us up to date on what was going on. We came in and bought the Mustang a day later. He made sure the door panel was fixed and and also fixed the latch on the hood. While there he also showed us a few suv that I was looking to possibly purchase. We had to wait for finance company to open the next day. In the meantime the ball joint had snapped on the Mustang. (This had nothing to do with them. It just happened and there was no way i would blame ACL for this) We called Brian and he had a tow truck come pick us up and he fixed it immediately. Customer service was absolutely outstanding. He didnt make us pay for anything extra. He also worked out a deal for a Lincoln navigator that I am totally in love with. I would highly recommend ACL! They made sure the suv would fit our family needs. Brian had even called on his day off to give us info that we needed on the car. He made everything easy for us with knowing my boyfriend had to go out of town for work, I had just had surgery and that we had the kids. If your looking for a used car, stop in to ACL! I promise you that you wont be disappointed! They also work with a great finance compant; Springleaf!
