Dave, Sunny and Dane are running quite the scam! Dave is the owner. Sunny is the brother of the owner and Dane is Daves son. Notice how all three of them are NEVER in the office together. When I first arrived here with my husband we talked to Sunny for a bit. My husband test drove the car and everything seemed fine for a car that was over 10 years old. We sat down with Sunny to see what we could negotiate. In talking, he would not come down on the price because "he is not the owner and he is not authorized to make changes to the price." We asked when the owner would be in and he said "Oh Im not sure he just kind of just left but hes probably at the gym or something." He did, however, offer us a 90 day engine and transmission warranty for free. He "wanted us to feel like we were taken care of and make us feel better about the decision." Since they wouldnt budge on the price, we went to see another car in the area that was a bit cheaper. It had a lot more rust, so we went back to Active Auto Sales the next day. This time, Sunny "just left" and Dave was there. We signed the papers, grabbed the keys and were on our way. We didnt even get to the gas station 2 miles down the road before the check engine light came on. We took it to my step dads shop the next weekend and its got a whole list of problems. Oil leak, loose track bar, needs a new steering shaft, new gearbox, new pressure hose, new return hose, rear main seal, front pinion seal, rear pinions seal and rear cover and the radio is wired to a constant 12V. Theyre estimating about $3,500 and thats after the family discount. They wanted to see the engine and transmission warranty papers that they gave us. I was a work, so I called over to Active Automotive and tell Dave what I needed. He says "Okay no problem, Ill fax it over in a little bit." A few hours go by and still no papers. I call back and I get Dane who tells me "The man who has your papers isnt here right now." I said "Who is he and why does he have my papers?" Dane says "Oh well hes the owner and thats something that youre going to have to ask him." I asked "When is he expected back?" Dane "I dont know. Im not sure where he went because hes the owner so he just comes and goes." Me "So he just comes and goes with my paperwork?" Dane "Again, thats something that youre going to have to ask him." Me "So he just has my papers sitting in his car while hes going and doing who knows what?!?" Dane "I mean, thats what it looks like because I dont see any paperwork for you anywhere." Me "So youre telling me that the actual office from which I purchased my car has absolutely no record of my sale, but some random guy has all of my papers in his car?" Dane "Again, thats something that youre going to have to ask him." SUPER SKETCHY!!!!! Dane ended up taking down my name and number so Dave could call me right away once he returns. Turns out, there is no warranty. They admitted to offering it to us, but they claim that we didnt say we accepted it so it was not included in the final sale. We have a brochure that they gave us on what the warranty covers, but no actual warranty. They pointed out that on one of the pages we signed, in very small writing, it says "vehicle sold as-is." Okay, so I admit that I should have read every single word on the 15+ pages that I signed, but its still so shady. They have signs all over their place that say "all vehicle sold as-is" so dont listen to an warranty lecture that they might give you. They are complete a**holes, all three of them. They knew exactly what they were doing and it looks like theyve been doing this to a lot of people. DO NOT GO HERE! They seem really friendly when theyre trying to sell you a car and then they disappear when you have questions and they have your money.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. They are the worst managed to place that I have ever been to..and Ive been to a lot. If you do happen to go here, avoid the salesman named Wilson. He will say whatever he needs to say in order to get you to sign for a car. We told him how much we could afford, and he said that was fine. I signed papers for a car, and drove off the same day very happy. The next day, he called back and asked me to come in because it turns out that I wasnt approved for the amount that he had previously stated and that I had signed for. Instead of the agreed-upon down payment, he suddenly wanted more than double the amount. I had my seven-year-old son with me and he was willing to have me give the key back and walk home with my child. A different salesman stepped in and work out a different payment plan which allowed me to keep the car, but when I was a day late with that new arrangement my car was repossessed in the middle of the night. I was informed that I would have to pay the entire balance of the car (over $6700) in order to get it back. Since I obviously couldnt pay that amount, I asked if Id be able to get any of my deposit back. Nope. Kept that too. Then I asked if I could at least get my belongings out of the car and was told it would cost me $75. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

I dealt with Dave, hes a cool guy but tends to joke around a little bit too much, especially when dealing with the final numbers on signing day. Anyways, this is a flip shop, plain and simple. They buy cars on the cheap, slap a price on them, and put them in their lot. DO NOT go here expecting each car to receive TLC like multi-point inspection, and any major issues taken care of, this is not that kind of a shop. They dont try to hide it, but wont willingly give up any info on the cars unless you ask them about it. Do not go here expecting financing, their in-house financing is atrocious, get your own financing or best to go in with cash. However, DO go here if you plan on spending a few weeks with your chosen vehicles taking it for test drives (which they are very cool about) and even having a mechanic look at it (highly recommended). Because of my diligence and research I was able to get $800 off an already reduced Celica. Afterwards it took about 2 weeks to get Tax forms and the title, it was very smooth. Ive put in about $1000 into the car, but it performs and rides great! Bottom line, do your research and KNOW the car before you even think about signing the papers. Have a gameplan for taking care of those issues after the sale and include the repairs in your budget, and you will come out on top.

What this company does is illegal and come Monday morning I will be reporting them, filing a complaint with all 3 credit bureaus to remove their inquiry and contacting the better business Bureau. I walked in and looked at a 2007 jeep which I was told was 11,000. Came back the next day and told them I want to put down only 500, my credit isnt the greatest but wait till you see this break down. Ok jeep 11,000 Down payment 500 Ill be financing 10500 at 20% interest Add 300 tax title plates Interest comes out to 2100 Which would mean my payment would be 280.43 x 46 months Try again this is what they tried to sell me on. Your credit is bad its tier 2 not tier 1 I need to put down 2000 dollars my payment will be 370 x 46 months.....how is it I owe more for putting more money down??? Say I put 2000 down Now Im finacing 9000 at 20% Which is 1800 Say 300 tax title lic etc Brings us back to 11000 Which means my payment would be 239.13 x 46 months. What they are doing is the oldest scam in the book now if the finance company is in on it....well we shall see when I notify the authorities. What they tried to charge me was 17020 2000 down Interest 3004 370 x 46 months. What they are doing is illegal. Its called bait and switch.
