Just went here for the first time today. The associate who signed me up for my membership was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and she made the process fairly enjoyable through great conversation. Id been in the actual store for less than 5 minutes, when I walked past an area near electronics where the Home Improvement people had a table set up. One guy stopped me to ask a hypothetical question about home improvement, and before I knew it, he was filling out a yellow card to get me scheduled for an appointment to have the windows on my home checked out...an appointment that I did not ask for. Initially, I was under the impression that he was just taking my contact info, and that they would then contact me to set an appointment time, but he wanted me to set a time right then and there. When I *Repeatedly* tried to explain to him that with me having three kids with special needs, and it being the start of summer vacation, it was pretty-much impossible for me to set an appointment right then, he became less-than-courteous, and remarked that: "Everybody has things that they have to do. He then began randomly pointing at customers in the store while saying: "She has things to do! He has things to do! I have things to do..." so I asked him: "Do you have three kids with Special Needs?" And he indignantly responded with "No, but Im also not saying that your stuff is any different than anbody elses stuff, so its a matter of priorities. Either you want to do this, or you dont, either way its not going to hurt my feelings, because Im not getting paid a commission off of this anyway." I was STUNNED, but I just politely apologized for the misunderstanding, and repeated that I was unable to schedule an appointment today, before telling him and the young man with him to have a blessed day, and then finally walking off. He probably didnt know, nor did he care, but he lost ANY chance of me signing up for anything at that precise moment, and in all honesty, he made my first few minutes in an otherwise great store with a nice selection and good prices, pretty darned crappy! BJs should really consider reigning in these Home Improvement guys to ensure that they are upholding the same standards that the other employees seemed to be committed to, because guys like this will quickly give the store a bad name and reputation!

My wife went there this morning and bought some salmon with some oyhrr groceries. When she opened the salmon, it was evident it was spoiled. I immediately called the store and spoje to the manager. She told me to bring in the package. Unfortunately its raining and we are inable to go to thr store as I must work tonight.Its not enough to just reimburse the same amount that I already paid. Offer a years free membership or something to offsey the hour of my time, gas and inconvenience. Will not be renewing my membership. Tomorrow, I call the Health Department.

Never use the tire department. Not only does it take an hour to have someone answer the phone but it is misleading. I was once a BJs member when I purchased my tires that come with a lifetime warranty. If you are no longer a member it voids the warranty for the lifetime balance and rotation. The guy that worked there didnt explain that when I got the job done but I was imformed when I needed a rotation 6,000 miles later. Back to SAMs club I go.
