I went to Costco Sunday (8/2) afternoon to buy my dogs food. If the bags are stacked high, I can pull into my cart, but if lower than the cart I need help. Fortunately there were two men with a forklift and one immediately came over and helped me out. When I checked out I was saying I would need to go to Customer Service to find out about the credit card change. The two people working there immediately told me what I needed to know and saved me standing in line at Customer Service. I left my cart and got my car, parked out front and asked a young man you was collecting carts if he could help. I believe his name was Jose. He wasnt much bigger than I am, but I figured between the two of us we could wrestle the 40 lb bag into the car. Not only did he put it in by himself but he noticed that one of the strawberries in my box had mold on it. I said it wasnt worth a trip back through the store. He would have none of it. He called Matt over and sent him to get me new strawberries while he finished loading me up. When Matt came back, he told me he had checked them all out and I shouldnt have any bad ones. I am in customer service myself and always appalled at the bad customer service I generally get. I have to say I was blown away by the professional courteous attitude of all the staff. Praise to you for picking the right people and giving them the right training!

I have been a member for quite some time. I have found this place to be a bit racist. I have tried this multiple times. I would wait before the entry door to have 3-4 families (Caucasians) pass the greeter and no questions asked. When I tried to pass (I am not a Caucasian) I was asked for the ID. I have nothing against asking for ID but how is it that they ask for IDs for non native looking people? I also found the wireless kiosk workers to be snobbish. Went there today to get 4 phones (and 4 lines) and the pony tailed cashier/ clerk/ salesman (do not know his name as he was not having a name tag on - probably not a Costco employee) was completely disinterested. He said that the Verizon website was down and doesnt know what to do. He did say that he had to send a mail to the support team. I have brought almost half my house and almost all of my groceries from this warehouse, yet I am in double mind now. I generally do not post such comments but I think the wireless Kiosk experience was the tipping point. What I really like about the warehouse is the selection and the check out staff (they have been pleasant and courteous on every single visit). I also like the tire center and have used online Costco account for furniture purchases as well. I wanted to get this matter to the store managements attention but did not have time.

Have been members for years and came in yesterday to stock up for the month. It was crowded and we had to wait in a long line to check out, but that is nothing new. I expect that. What I DIDNT expect was as I was checking out having the cashier suddenly call out, "Get Blake!" And having me wait to pay for my purchase. When this other guy comes over, he first informs me that my account has been flagged. What?! Then he says I needed to renew my membership but then looked again and said no, actually I was current until next year (already knew that). Then he proceeds to pressure me to upgrade my membership. I tried to politely decline, but he kept pushing. I just wanted to pay for my groceries and get my kids and myself out of there, but he and the cashier kept pushing. It was intimidating, startling, confusing, and frustrating. Finally, the guy backed off and let me finish paying, only to have the cashier snidely tell me how much I could have saved if I had upgraded my membership. Unbelievable. My account had been flagged just for an intimidating upsell pitch?! Not only will I NOT be upgrading my membership, but I will not renew my current membership next year. The prices are not that stellar for this kind of experience.

Ive read some of the negative feedback. For the person who said the store is racist... I would have to disagree. All you have to do is have your card in your hand and show it to them while passing by. A lot of times a customer who doesnt know how it works would think they are just walking in but it all reality they are not. Now the only reason I cant give them 5 stars is because some of the produce goes bad really quickly. I bought partially green bananas there and within 4 days they were already rotting. I dont know if it was because they were organic or not. Customer service is great though. I showed up at 6:35 thinking they closed at 7:00. I was wrong. The supervisor was kind enough to have someone in produce grab all of my fruit for me and bring it up front as I couldnt go back there myself because they had forklifts on the floor already. Thank you for helping a customer out after driving 35 minutes to get there.

After being a long time SAMs club member I recently switched over to Costco to see if there was a difference. As far as inside the store it was neat, clean, and well stocked. I do however have one MAJOR complaint. The problem is with the gas pumps. Whoever designed this ONE WAY concept needs to be fired. If they would pay attention theyd see that 80 percent of the cars on the road have the gas cap on the drivers side. Because of the ONE WAY concept all of the cars stack up in these lanes while the lanes for the passenger side gas cap lanes are completely empty. If the lanes went both ways everybody could get their gas and be on their way a LOT faster. Thanks for creating a problem where one didnt exist Costco!! Think Ill go back to SAMs when the year is up.

We have been members for over three years, now, renewing our membership each year. This year, my wife renewed at the front desk about two months ago. Today she did her shopping with her three small children, which is a difficult task in itself. She had to leave a cart FULL of groceries at the checkout, because they could not find proof in their system that her membership had been renewed. They took $150 out of our bank account two months ago, and they could not find us in their system. Instead of apologizing, and letting her buy the stuff, THEY TURNED HER AWAY. Well, theres a lot of precious time wasted. Do you think a mother of five would spend all that effort not knowing that her membership was valid?

Great pricing great selection but the customers are jam packed and rude as can be especially on weekends. Its a demo derby with shopping carts if you actually survive the parking lot to make it inside. Apparently in this area you leave your manners at home, get in where you fit in by any means necessary. Dont bother with common courtesy just push shove and roll your eyes every chance you get as plunder all the mega sized goods you can afford.
