I have been a member here for almost a year (since it opened up). I tried returning a defective TV for exchange 3 days past their 90 day window. Yeah- thats not how it happens. Basically you have to go through some concierge BS where youre stuck on the phone for like 40 minutes troubleshooting all the things I already troubleshot. Then you need to send pictures of the messed up screens, then finally after a few weeks (because it was intermittent failure) they give in and realize you have a defective product. The next step is that you need to take a day off of work so they can come to you house to exchange it. Its the most annoying backward ass process, time consuming process you could imagine. My next experience occurred just the other day. I found a Canon 70D camera and lens kit that was sold out online- the price was $1300. They told me (the manager via sales associate) the store could only match the price if the current floor model Canon 70D was sold first. I was trying to understand the logic behind this because I could not figure out what one had to do with the other. Finally I asked if they were willing to negotiate a price for the floor model which was like $1599 and they said they could take $50 off. The sales associate was embarrassed to give me this information from his manager know how ridiculous the whole thing was. It was a huge Catch-22, they can sell and match the price of the online deal- but they can only do that if they can sell a used nasty floor model for $200 more than what the online sales price is. Its funny because you always hear what a great company Costco is. Im not impressed. Update: Camera that I wanted came back into stock (online only) so I purchased it. The cost was $1649.99 online with a $350 off promo. This promo brought the price down to $1299.99. Funny thing was that they charged me tax on the $1649.99 instead of the $1299.99. So I called the company - they told me this was correct. I said "thats funny, when I go to a store and buy something on sale, they dont charge me tax on the original retail price they had before". There is something not quite right about this company and I cant figure out if its mismanaged or purposefully deceitful.

Cheapest pharmacy around. My son had tubes put in his ears. Ciprodex was $203.00 and up everywhere else. Costco has it for $187.00. Cha-ching! Guess where I am going from now on. Also this place does a great job offering what we the people want. Great deals on great products. We regularly enjoy exceptional deals on organic foods as well as regular processed stuff too. its just good all the way around. Tires are cheap too. My BMW 7 series uses run flat tires they sell them $400 dollars cheaper than the cheapest tire place around which was Discount Tire. Discount tire was 1600.00 and Costco was 1200.00. That is truly substantial savings. The people giving bad reviews have really pathetic reasons for giving bad reviews. They wouldnt take back a TV that was over its stated 90 day return policy (they are usually 14 days). Well brightness, youre just mad cause they didnt let you get away with not following the rules. I wouldnt take back something over 3 months old either. You should have taken it in within the time constraints like everyone should be expected to do. If you would have, that woudl have been avoided. The other lady crying about they close at 6? Ummm then shop Costco earlier than their closing hours. How is this hard? Here is the not-so-secret formula, since apparently it is not common sense. If a place has posted hours that end at 6pm... be there before 6pm, that is the trick to being able to shop there. You show up while they are open. Mystery solved!!! My favorite part though, is simply their ethic. They take great care of their employees and their communities. I cannot express how glad I am to be able to support a company that is not terrible to its employees or the community. Walmart and Sams on the other hand literally have documentaries (on Netflix) about how shady their business practices are. How they mistreat employees and destroy communities. Keep it up Costco!

I got tires for my Van, there was still warranty left of about 3000 miles. But they did not do anything. Blamed me that we did not get wheel balance done regularly thats why, they r not going to worry about warranty. By the way I got my wheel balance and other work done at Don Ayres and they have record of it .Not just that, when I asked them to go ahead rotate and so wheel balance, they refused, saying that it is dangerous because of the condition of the tires. But then I went to Don Ayres Honda where I got my wheel balance and other work done, they did it. refused

Dont believe negative rating from reviewers on this board. This Costco is new & doing very well. All employees here are very supportive. I had my tire replaced here. I had to drive 45 miles to get here but worth the drive. While waiting, I browsed through the warehouse. Its fully stocked but not too many shoppers as in other Costco. The price is the same as expensive states like CA, IL, NY but the employees are probably getting lower pay (Ft Wayne is very low cost of living). I would shop here every week if I could.

This is my favorite place to shop. I have a large family and need to be able to save as much money on food as possible. Costco is great for organic, healthy foods at an affordable price. The staff is always helpful and happy (maybe because theyre paid a living wage), and the store is always well-stocked and clean. Being a member means lower fuel prices as well, which is always a plus! This particular location is a very nice Costco; better than Meijer, or Walmart. Definitely recommend!

Tried to visit Costco for the first time on Saturday evening at 6:15. There was a large crowd trying to get in the door, but we were all told that they close at 6pm. Closing at 6pm on a Saturday??? That is probably the busiest shopping night of the week in Fort Wayne. We promptly left and did our shopping at Sams Club down the street. I guess we can keep our Sams Club membership if Costco cant be open during convenient shopping hours. Oh well!

Once you get accustomed to where things are, its a generally good experience. But not opening for business until 10:00 am?? Thats not very smart if you want local restaurants and business owners to shop there....not to mention the fact that basic staples are missing: 50 pound bags of potatoes, onions, gallon sized mayo, pickles, ketchup, etc...

My husband and I Very much enjoy Costco, this is our second year..We love their frozen yogurt and great home made meals from the deli. The prices over all are great too! Also, friendly customer service. Oh! One more thing their Auto program is AWESOME!! Specially if you have the Executive Membership. The store can give you details. :O)

Good deals, wide selection, fresh food market, superb bakery. Great deals on Interstate car batteries. Best gas price in town. No credit cards accepted except American Express. Debit cards accepted. We will drive an hour just to go to Costco Fort Wayne. Always lots of free food samples, so you can take your wife on a date, there, too.
