Recently went through a Home Warranty program to try and get our oven fixed. Burke came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and then came and "fixed" the problem. After the gentleman installed the parts for our oven, he quickly left. My wife asked if he could stay and make sure the oven was fixed (it would take 5-10 minutes to let the oven heat up), he simply stated that he could not, and that he needed to leave. He didnt even check the temperature of the oven after he fixed it.... Then, they submitted to our Home Warranty program that the oven was fixed. I resubmitted a claim, letting the Home Warranty program know that our oven was not, in fact, fixed. I spoke with the Home Warranty program people, and they stated that Burke Appliance told them there is "nothing they can do for the oven. It gets hot, thats what ovens do." I guess the outside of the oven is supposed to get 200+ degrees? This is not the inside of the oven that is getting to 200 degrees.... This is the outside of it. We have a 1 year old, and ourselves, that we would prefer not to burn themselves on the outside of our oven. Thankfully, though, our Home Warranty program is letting us get a second opinion. Guess well see if the new appliance repair people agree with Burke Appliance that the oven is "supposed to get to 200 degrees."

Washer that I bought here last year broke last Wednesday. Was told that if anything happened, I wouldnt have to pay service fee. When I called for repair, lady said she would talk to owner and call me back. She never called back. When I called again she said that was only first 60 days and service charge would be $85. I agreed because I need a washer. Soonest appointment was today (Monday) between 8-12. At noon, nobody had showed up or called. When I called, same lady was not at all apologetic and said shed call him and have him call me back. I said please have him call me asap... I have other plans. 30 minutes later, I once again had to call her back. I told her dont worry about it, I had to leave. She never once tried to reschedule me or offer me a discount. Nothing for me taking the day off work to sit here and wait for a no show. Office staff is rude and owner doesnt show up... Call if you want, but another company down the street only charges $50 for service call!
