This place is OUTstanding as far as I am concerned. I have never run into anyone who was too rushed to help me with what I needed. Especially this very congenial fellow in plumbing who helped me out twice with suggestions that were as perfect as they were inexpensive. In one, I had a clogged drain that resisted each and every thing I had tried to do to unclog it. I was at the end of my rope, figuring i would need to unhook the pipes or something. Instead, I leave the store with a99& thin plastic strip with hooks on it, and ten seconds after I get home, BAM...clog all gone never to return!!! Then just yesterday, I returned because my shower drain lever broke off in my hand, leaving the drain, naturally, in the "closed" position. Within five minutes, the same gentleman got me the right replacement overflow cover and lever, the correct screwdriver, and a basic tutorial on how to replace both. Five minutes later, presto chango, I have a fully draining bathtub and a lever that works to stop or unstop the drain as I wish it. You gusy are the GREATEST! Five STARS!

Im from Decatur, but moved to Augusta as an adult. I had to travel here to pick up a limited release charcoal grill. I stalked the grill for a few days before I made such a purchase. What I noticed everytime I entered, the ladies behind the counter greeted me loudly and happily. Then I noticed the selection, they had Webers , Eggs, and Traegers. Multiple sizes, features, and accessories. The staff made certain that my unit was assembled and in show room condition to make my voyage home. Jerry and Tony answered any questions or concerns that I had. I was blown away with the service, location and items in the store. Well done Intown..... well done

Wow. Zero stars. Had to leave one to make a post. There is an older gentleman(on the right in the picture above) that was beyond rude to me when I went in to shop for wiring and ask for installation advice. I had purchased a wall switch online at Home Depot. An item that Ace didnt carry. I went in to buy some wire and get advice on how to hook up the switch to the old wiring in my house and this fellow got completely bent out of shape because I didnt buy the switch from him. I was going to spend money in the store but will shop there no more! Avoid the old man...not worth it.

The staff members just walk by without a greeting even tho I say "good morning" to them. I am invisible. I do NOT like that type of treatment! Ill pay more for products when the customer service is great, but not if the people working there stereotype their customers. I have never been so badly treated as I was on this past Monday. What a travesty. Especially the woman with the dark hair - clomping around in gardening boots in the garden shop. Guess it will be a long time before I go shop THERE again and they have the BEST plants selection.

The folks that operate and work at this store are the best! Always a great experience getting whatever it is that you need. You never have to wander isle after isle to find a helpful employee. Just because they are smaller doesnt mean they wont have what you need. They always do. The store is stocked the way a hardware store should be without all the other stuff you dont need (or even want). Forget Home Depot, forget Lowes, definitely forget Wal-Mart. Ace Hardware Scott Blvd. is the best.

What I love about Ace hardware in Decatur is the variety of items and helpful staff. They have Weber Grills, the Green Egg smoker, cool toys for my kids, and just the everyday basic stuff you need as a homeowner. I had an ant problem last summer and the Ace folks hooked me up with a solution that took care of it. When I needed to sow some seed this fall, the garden lady helped me choose the right seed for my lawn. They really care about what they do.

Huge fan of every Ace Ive been to in the Atlanta-Decatur area. You cant beat the customer service. Cant find what youre looking for at a huge competitor(H.D.), well chances are Ace will have it. This particular Ace has a larger selection than say the Virginia-Highlands Ace hardware due to sheer size. Though not as large as the Ace in Tucker, GA the Highlands and Decatur employees seem much friendlier.

This place is amazing. Their garden department is like another world. Its so tranquil and relaxing that you just kinda want to hang out there. The people inside are nice and helpful, and it has most things that you would need from a hardware store, even if its just in limited quantity. Reminds me of the hardware stores of my youth, when they werent all big boxes with endless isles.

Its like a curiosity shop & hardware/garden store in one. Lots of cool stuff for the canine in your life (& you can bring them in the store with you!) as well as plenty o the regular hardware things, with a garden department that has more than the typical. A bit pricey, but the helpful/knowledgeable staff makes it worth it.

I like most hardware stores, but this one is the best. Everyone is helpful and the merchandisibg here is amazing. There are things here you wouldnt expect to find in a hardware store but glad you did. Great gardening plants and supplies. Excellent birdfeeding oroducts. Even toys. Just look for the big purple rooster.

Hardware store with flare! They have everything you need and more to accomplish small home projects, fun with grilling, working in the yard or the garden. Snack on fresh popcorn while you shop, perhaps even for a new outfit. We just wish we could walk there easily from the Medlock neighborhood with sidewalks at a minimum.

This store really makes it fun to shop. They carry things above and beyond the usual for a hardware store, including a great selection of kitchen gadgets, outdoor furniture, windchimes, and high-end cleaning products. They also stock the City of Decatur "Pay as you throw" garbage bags and City of Decatur license plates.

Best hardware store ever. Shelves are crammed to the ceiling with interesting stuff but the real difference is the staff, very knowledgeable and helpful. They constantly have the quirky hardware needed for keeping up the historic houses in the surrounding neighborhoods that the Big Box stores never have.

Ive been frequenting this Ace since the early 90s and it is more like my favorite bar than just a hardware store. Theyll have what I need in stock about 95% of the time. But, theyll also have advice as to what I need and how best to get or install it 100% of the time. Its just got good karma.

The service is excellent. The staff are always willing to help, and they know what theyre talking about. Ibrahim the Paint Master is the man. The selection is very good; even though the store looks like it might favor fancy gifts and gadgets, the focus is on home and hardware.
