Whatever bad experience Albert had with "bad" attitudes, I experienced the amazing opposite while dealing with a young lady by the name of Julie on September 23rd. I had a water heater warranty issue to resolve and stopped in to get it organized so I could get my new water heater. I fully expected to run into problems as I so often do these days when shopping anywhere. Most retail stores, restaurants, etc. are notoriously bad with customer service, attitude, and proper speaking skills. Well not this time. This young lady had notes about my situation. She made phone calls for me to schedule delivery, installation, and removal of my defective water heater. She explained every step I needed to take to have this done sucessfully. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish. I typically dont have that much patience, but this girl was such a delight to work with, that I didnt care. At one time she was handling three phones at one time...sucessfully. I can only say that having experienced very bad service in the past at many stores, this girl almost got a hug from me. I was that pleased. I dont know what her last name was, but Julie, working at the CS counter on Friday night, did Home Depot proud. I will be a permanent shopper at that location from now on. Thanks Julie. Really good job.

I purchased two special order blinds from this Home Depot ($1500). They were supposed to be delivered to my home in 7-10 days. After an error by Home Depot and then one by the shipping company, I received the blinds 25 days later after I drove to the shipping company and picked them up myself. I had to let Home Depot know that the shipping company had made an error. In the four times I called Home Depot, the flooring manager or the store manager were not on the schedule. I was told on a Friday that the blinds would be expedited. By Tuesday I had not heard from HD, so I called the shipping company and made arrangements to pick them up myself. When I called HD (and had to wait for the manager to be on the schedule to call me back) I told her that I wasnt happy I had to get involved 4 times and handle the shipping of my blinds. Her response was that they were expediting the order and were waiting for a call back (from 4 days ago). Is that expediting? I called the store manager, Lesilie Rohe, (who was not on the schedule) and left a message to call me. Never heard from HD again. Lowes is my go to now.

Expensive! Lowes and Menards are right next door and offer 10% off coupons with frequent 11% rebates on top of that. Thats $210 less for every $1000 you spend at home depot with ~ same prices. I would shop here more because I appreciate their more diverse selection and very friendly service, but Home Depot frankly stopped trying to compete for my business back in January when they stopped accepting competitors coupons. Between that and their policy of always asking for your drivers license when returning, no thanks. Its like theyre trying to drive away all but the most loyal customers. I only shop here now for very specific brand purchases that I cant find elsewhere.

The Kitchen design center has a poor attitude towards customers and willingness to help, especially an employee named Jennifer. I have used this service twice for the custom Kitchen and both times she was my consultant with a horrible attitude. If were one time I could assume it was a bad day, but twice is not acceptable. I was discussing her demeanor with a friend that recently renovated his kitchen and he knew she was becasue his experience with her was just as poor. In fact, he took his business to their competitor. Otherwise this store is helpful and professional, but I had to warn others of dealing with this department and employee.

I had to rent a blower for a small water problem at our home. The initial blower I rented did not work. Unfortunately, I did not know this because my initial Home Depot associate did not test the blower before I left the store. I attempted to use the blower at home, but it did not work. I returned the blower and requested credit for the rental since I did not have the blower more than two hours (of a 24 hour rental). Nate was more than willing to help me out and apologized for the inconvenience. Thanks for your help, Nate!

Purchased a John Deere D105 lawn tractor that required a new transmission after 1.8 hours of use !!! Leslie the store manager really went out of her way to allow us to trade for a Cub Cadet XT1 LT42 lawn tractor and we are extremely pleased with it. The customer service she provided was exceptional and her team at the front desk also went beyond everything we expected. Very nice people, Highly Recommended.

Im a contractor and am in there quite frequently.I find the opposite of the negative comments as well.The employee morale seems to be very good,the employees all seem to get along well with each other, and this transfers to the way the customer is treated.Ive had associates take me from one department to another in order to help me with a project.I typically find this with all The Home Depot stores!
